He was tired after the long day of being tortured by the App. He just wanted to hit the bed. Akemi was nowhere to be found. He did not care about her anymore. Anyways, she was not herself and the app took complete control of her body.
What is the use of worrying about an inhuman person? Maybe he should just kill her and bury her in the dark forest. She might at least rest in peace.
Before he could make a plan on how to kill her, his bedroom door was opened with force.
"What happened? Why am I still alive? Didn't the App punish me by sending me to the warehouse to be slaughtered?" Akemi asked with a shocked tone.
"Who are you now? And why are you pretending? I am not an idiot to fall for this trick once more. Now get lost! Do not appear in front of me"
Hastin pulled the blanket over his head and closed his eyes. He was done being toyed by this App. He wants his life back very badly. He doesn't want to play this game anymore.
He even decided to stop writing horror novels. For that matter, he was even ok with not writing anymore. All he wanted now was to get out from the tangles of this spiderweb which the App weaved around him.
It was quite tiring. Anyways he was being used by the App for its own purpose. Other than fulfilling the App's need, he was not getting any satisfaction from writing this novel.
He cannot even decide what he wants to do with his own story. And more than that would be the torture of watching those videos which the app made in that abandoned warehouse.
Even though his books never got any high traffic, he was happy whenever he wrote them. But now other being terrified, he was not even interested in writing anymore.
"What are you saying? I am Akemi! Wake up and explain. I am afraid! Your house is too huge. When I woke up, I was laying on the bathtub covered in blood. At first I thought it was my blood. Then I realized that I do not have any wounds on my body. I ran down right next moment to check on you. Please get up and tell me what happened."
Hastin removed the blanket from his head and peeked at her. She was definitely soaked but he was unsure if it was blood. Looking at her pity self, who was still wearing the same old torn dress made him climb down from the bed.
"First, go take a bath. I will see if I can find my mother's clothes in the basement. We will order some new ones once you are freshened up."
"Ok" Saying that Akemi moved towards the bathroom in Hastin's room.
Hastin did not feel like stopping her or even asking her to go to the bathroom upstairs. He understood the shock to be in such an unknown situation where you do not even know who you are!
Before he could even take a step out, Akemi came back once again. She asked,
"I don't know how to bath."
"…"
"I am telling the truth. I don't even know what a bath means!"
"In the system, it only recorded how to cook, clean the house, help Hastin with sexual needs, how to kill…"
"Stop, that's enough! I do not want to hear any more."
He rushed inside the bathroom while pulling Akemi along with him.
"Listen carefully, I will tell you all this only once. This is a showerhead where the water would flow. Look here, you need to twist the tap to the right for the hot water. If you turn it the other direction, then cold water would come out. This bottle over here is body wash and the other one is shampoo. You need to wet your body first, then apply the body wash to your whole body and shampoo to your hair. Do you understand?"
Once Akemi nodded in understanding, he pulled her to the corner of the bathroom.
"This rack has towels, you can use it to wipe your body once you finish bathing. If you have any other questions then figure it out yourself. Do not call me!"
Hastin found his mother's old clothes in the basement and left them near the door. He went to switch on the TV, his favorite horror movie was being played. Without even realizing that more than an hour has passed, he was fully involved in that movie.
All of sudden a cold hand touched his shoulders. At the same time, the scene on the TV showed that the ghost stood behind the sofa. It reached for the neck of the small girl.
Before he could realize what had happened, he twisted the hand which touched his shoulders. He pulled the hand with force and threw the ghost on the coffee table.
Akemi flew high in the air and her back hit the coffee table. She groaned in pain. Hastin then realized what he did. He did not know why he actually threw her.
He almost forgot that there was actually one more person living in his house. It was always him and his father. And after his father passed away, it became only him and his books.
Now looking at Akemi who was wailing in pain, he hoped that his sudden attack did not break her spine. Or any other bone in her body. With a guilty consciousness, he asked,
"Are you ok? Do you need to go to a hospital? You can take my bike and go. I will even lend you my favorite one."
"First can you help me up! I don't think I will be able to walk from this moment on because of your foolishness. Ouch! It hurts like hell! Are you stupid? Can't you see behind before you act?"
"How would I know it was you? I was watching a horror movie and when I felt your cold hand on my shoulder…"
"You thought I was a ghost? Do you think if I am a ghost you will be able to lift me up in the air? Are you stupid? Now shut your mouth and help me up"
Hastin went near her and tried to move her to the sofa. But his hand had just touched her when Akemi hit him hard.
"Move me slowly! You are an idiot! Don't you know how to move a patient who got hurt? How can you be so harsh?"
"No, I don't know! And stop calling me names. You are an idiot, you are stupid, I am not! I am not helping you anymore! Help yourself up"
"I have never met anyone so unreasonable before in my life. Such an ill-bred brat you are!"
"What did you say?" Hastin went near her with anger and all of a sudden he stopped and saw her with uncertainty clearly visible in his eyes.
"So do you remember anything from your past?"
"Yes, I do! Why will I not remember? I am now like you who don't even know how to treat a lady properly?"
Akemi stopped at that moment and closed her mouth with her hands.
"I actually remember everything! I remember everything! But why am I so fluent in English? I never learned how to speak English in my life!"
Without even realizing it, she stood up but then held the sofa for support as the pain suddenly hit her. She sat down on the sofa while groaning in pain.
