She reached home and resumed the chores with usual chat with the guys and got some sleep. She woke up at around 4 in the evening, since she didn't had to work tonight as it was her week-off and declared holiday for her yoga classes and music lessons, she planned to go for shopping to purchase some gifts for her parents as well as for the wedding.
She thought to call her parents before going to shopping, they might give her suggestions regarding the gift.
Kruthika: Hi mom! How are you?
Madhavi(Kruthika's mom): I'm fine dear. How are you?
Kruthika: I'm fine mom.
Madhavi:Is everything going well?
Kruthika:Everything's going great. How's dad?
Madhavi:Even dad's fine. Did you eat something or not?
Kruthika: Yeah mom. Did have your dinner?
Madhavi: Yes dear. By the way we recieved the message you sent, I'm very happy for her. So Manasa is getting married. She's more or less of your age, when are you thinking about marriage?
Kruthika: Mom please not now. It's really not the time to discuss such things, let's talk about it when I'm home. okay! Actually I was confused about what gift should I give the couple. Please give me suggestion I've never done this before.
Madhavi:Hmmm.. what about collective photo frames.
Kruthika: Hmm okay.... then!
Madhavi: what about a fancy wall clock?
Kruthika: Great two suggestions. Where's dad?
Madhavi: Wait I'll give him.
Madhusudan (Kruthika's dad): Hey cutie how are you?
Kruthika: fine dad. how are you?
Madhusudan: I'm good. So when are you coming to attend Manasa's marriage?

Madhusudan: okay dear. take care and see you soon.
Kruthika: Bye. Love you dad.
After disconnecting the call she goes for shopping to purchase gift for wedding and parents. She was now wearing black floral top and a jeans jacket which matches her blue jeans, she didn't like to wear heavy make-up, but she put some mascara and lip balm and carried a black side bag. She took bus from the nearest bus stop from her house to the Oxford street.
Oxford street is located in the heart of the city, which is home to more than 300 shops, which offer the most exquisite shopping experience. From designer wear to bargain fashion, you can find anything here.
Shopping is not a kind of task which can happen within specified time for woman, any task given to them can be done within due time but not shopping. Same happened to Kruthika she wandered few shops without finding anything satisfactory within the given budget.
Finally after wandering half of the shops in street, she got an amazing wall clock and two beautiful photo frames for Manasa and a tie pin for her father and pearl earrings for her mother in three different shops from her savings from last six months. It was her first gift to her parents from her own money.
She found someone following through out the street, she wasn't sure who it was, it was a tall and masculine man who looked sort of bouncer in pub. But when she found out that he didn't follow her to home, she realised that she misunderstood it for something else.
By the time she reached home it was 7:37 in evening and everyone were all ready present in the home.
"Hi. looks like everyone's at home. sorry I'm bit late", said Kruthika as she rested on the sofa in the drawing room and kept the bags on floor beside her, since she was exhausted from walking through Oxford street looking for perfect presents.
"Where have you been? I was the first one to come home and I rang the doorbell since you didn't open the door, I used my key", said Anirudh
"I had some work, give me half an hour I'll make dinner. Could you give me a glass of water?. Please!", said Kruthika. Sudeep went and brought her a glass of water and handed it to her."Thank you so much".
"May I know where did you go? Because you look so tired. If you are so tired then we'll cook it for ourselves for tonight", said Sachin looking at her.
"Yeah we can do that", said Hemanth and Anirudh collectively.
"Thank you for your concern and care, but it's okay I can manage. I'm not that tired, only my legs are paining. Give ten minutes to rest and half an hour for making dinner. Hey can I make veg-biryani? Is it fine?", asked Kruthika.
"Yeah it's fine", said everyone.
She took some rest for ten minutes and rushed to kitchen and made veg-biryani as dinner, rice and spices mixed in plain yoghurt steamed. Everyone had the dinner and were chatting at the balcony. They were sitting on chairs and glaring at sky and were having some talk as the cool breeze passed by them.
It was almost like a family, everyone treated each other with respect and teased each other like friends. At the background they played some music, listening to the music sharing their thoughts while enjoying the breeze was different level of happiness to them.
While they played some jazz, Kruthika was starring at the stars as if they were starring back at her. Soon she burst into laughter remembering some old memory during her college days.
"Hey. What happened? Why are you laughing?", asked Sudeep.
Krithika was still laughing, controlling it, "Ani, do you remember when we were in first year in same class, one day during class hours.... Do you remember?"
"Which incident?", asked Anirudh.
"During first hour there was a Ma'am taking the class, her subject was problematic. Her teaching was so boring that one student actually went out of the class straight away.... don't you remember Ani?", asked Kruthika controlling her laugh and turning bit angry.
"Oh yeah! now I remembered. It was funny. He was the coolest dude. He was Sunil right?", asked Anirudh who was now laughing.
"May be. But it was very fun", again she burst into laughter.
"Hey! you both will please say what's it that's making you laugh like this?", asked Sachin, who was now in confusion where Sudeep and Hemanth accompanied him.
"Yeah. I will. It was first period and the class was boring as hell. It was full of problems and we had no idea what teacher was teaching, soon it was Sunil who took his bag went out of his class, Ma'am was writing on the board, when she turned around the boy it seemed like she misunderstood that Sunil was coming late to the class and said WHY ARE YOU LATE TO MY CLASS? GET OUT OF MY CLASS! I WON'T ALLOW LATE COMERS LIKE YOU that's it. Sunil said sorry and went out of the class. Everyone in class were banging the desk and laughing loudly. Ma'am didn't understand what was going on. Oh that day I said this incident to everyone I know my roommates my friends and my parents", said Kruthika laughing who had now tears in her eyes,"Oh God!"finally controlling laughter.
Listening to this everyone laughed.
