Purple Mist's mouth dropped, as did the dozens of Fae Masters in the audience.
Graceful Rain, whom Vladimir had talked to directly, raised her hand to cover her mouth, suppressing her shock and awe. Despite the fact that she had just seen the Boundless Forest Yearning, nineteen year with the capability to fight the core disciples of the White Dominion Sect evenly, the image of that enormous mountain-sized revenant remained within her mind.
That was an existence on the same level as a Rank 4 Fae Master.
The same level of cultivation as her Master.
Without a doubt, even if Vladimir didn't fight today, everyone present knew that he would be a well-known figure within White Corpse City.
But, in addition to his talents as a Ghost specialist Fae Master, Vladimir was also a core disciple of the Nightime Demon Sect, a Sect with a Fae Immortal as its current leader! Not only that, but he too also possessed a-.
"Sovereign Boundary Physique!".
Most Fae Masters went their entire lives without seeing a single Sovereign Boundary Physique! It was just too rare, and far too little in quantity for a single person to see even a single one!
And yet, today, all of the young geniuses of the White Dominion Region had seen two Sovereign Boundary Physiques!
The Boundless Forest Yearning, and the Formless Night Shadow!
Violet Sunglass bit her bottom lip, glancing at Arthur.
'He was baiting Purple Mist the entire time! Arthur has relations with the Nightime Demon Sect, as well as their own Sovereign Boundary Physique! He has been aggravating Purple Mist since the moment he stepped on stage. Perhaps he was even using an Emotion Attributed Fae to provoke Purple Mist into-!'.
Violet Sunglass' eyes widened.
The Boundless Forest Yearning was both a Wood Attributed and an Emotion Attributed Sovereign Boundary Physique. Arthur possessed both a single Law Image with two innate Attributes. If he had reached the second level of Wood Laws, than it wouldn't be a surprise if he had comprehended the first level of Emotion Laws either!
Purple Mist doesn't specialize in Thought Attributed Fae, and instead focused his attention towards Inscription Attributed Fae.
He wouldn't even notice if he had been influenced by Emotion Laws at all!
Violet Sunglass turned towards Arthur and Vladimir, both of which were glancing at each other.
'Had they both planned this from the start!? Are they targeting the White Dominion Sect or something!? Or is it just Purple Mist? The things he said about the Sect Leader as well.... are they also true?'.
The young lady of the Violet Clan rubbed her temples, feeling the beginning of a migraine about to wash over her. The matter of the fact is, Purple Mist had placed himself, and by extension the White Dominion Sect in a very precarious situation.
Vladimir just nodded, turning towards Purple Mist and the rest of the White Dominion Sect disciples.
"I do not know your Sect Leader personally, nor have I met him, but if the White Dominion Sect does become an Immortal Sect, a few things will happen".
"You will be qualified to participate in the Fae Ground Tournaments held between Immortal Sects and Clans. The talented geniuses of the White Dominion Sect will fight for the chance to perceive Laws through the Fae Grounds. If you win, you will earn spots, and if don't place a certain ranking or higher, you'll completely miss out".
"Additionally, new Immortal Sects and Immortal Clans will inevitably have to pay respects to the true powerhouses of the Azure Envy Continent. The closest to the White Dominion Region is the Divine Tannhauser Empire, so you would have to pledge your fealty towards the Empire. You would become a subsidiary member, under the branch of the Divine Tannhauser Empire and have to pay tributes every half-decade or so".
"However, the placement of the White Dominion Sect is quite good. Between an intersection of the Yellow Springs River and the Enlightened Bodhi River. Even if it is acceptable in terms of placement, the unique existences created by this intersection would have to be given up as tribute. Additionally, the Divine Tannhauser Empire does not have to protect your during a war. They will give the White Dominion Sect a chance to have some of their geniuses train within their Academia, however they will not send precious Fae Immortals to protect you".
"As for the matter about what would happen if an Immortal Sect suddenly had all their Fae Immortals die, or pass on, then Arthur here would be correct. There is constant competition between Immortal Sects and Immortal Clans, especially those near Fae Grounds. Immortal organizations do not seek conflict with mortal organizations due to the influence of the Divine Tannhauser Empire. But once you all qualify and become an Immortal Sect, you will have to worry about being attacked by other Immortal Sects and Immortal Clans as well. If you have no Fae Immortal to defend yourselves then....".
That was obvious.
A Fae Master couldn't defeat a Fae Immortal. It just wasn't possible.
The White Dominion Sect would be destroyed, and all of the sect disciples would be captured or killed. Their resources plundered and perhaps only those willing to bend the knee and serve the new Sect would survive....
But even then, they would still be looked down upon.
Purple Mist opened his mouth to speak, only to have no words leave his lips.
He clenched his fist, looking down at Arthur and Vladimir, two favoured sons of heaven, both of whom possessed Sovereign Boundary Physiques.
Even though he wanted to retort Arthur's words, hearing it from Vladimir of all people, someone who despite being the same position as him, possessed a far higher status and strength!
They may both be core disciples of their respective Sects, but Vladimir was on a whole other level....
Was it true then? He thought.
Was their Sect Leader holding himself back from reaching Rank 6, purely because he didn't think that the future of the White Dominion Sect would be able to hold their own after his death?
They possessed a deep relationship with an Immortal Sect from the Amber Pride Continent. But, in terms of distance, the Amber Pride Continent was tens of millions, if not hundreds of millions of kilometres away.....
Other than Lady White, there wasn't anyone else worth saving, or even caring about....
Purple Mist may be a genius, but he still fell slightly short in comparison to some of those geniuses that "disappeared" mysteriously.
He didn't meet the criteria of an Immortal Sect.
In short, he was too weak.
He didn't exactly know the relationship between Arthur and Vladimir, but if it was enough to be able to invite him all the way from the Nightime Demon Sect, then it definitely wasn't shallow. There was even the possibility of Vladimir coming here to invite Arthur back to his Sect....
And if he were to try and fight him to the death here.... Vladimir would more than likely stand up for Arthur.
Gritting his teeth, Purple Mist flicked his fingers, ordering the Avian Corpse to turn around.
Glancing at Arthur one last time, Purple Mist flew off, heading in the direction of the White Dominion Sect.
The expressions of numerous other Fae Masters, including a multitude of White Dominion Sect, inner sect disciples turned shocked, some who supported Purple Mist ashen, and a few who opposed him into one of malicious glee.
Violet Sunglass just narrowed her eyes at Arthur, causing the young man to smile politely and shrug his shoulders.
"If you don't hurry up and get stronger Miss Violet. I'm afraid that the marriage between yourself and Purple Mist will come about quicker than you might think".
Her figure stiffened and her complexion paled.
"H-how did you know about-".
Arthur just walked away, winking at Vladimir before turning towards the rest of the Fae Masters present.
"Who at the martial gathering would like to step up next? Like what Miss Violet stated earlier, one does not have to necessarily fight in order to show off their martial prowess. Knowledge, ancient literature, insights into Laws or Fae Formula, or even just an Attribute Control Skill. Everything is permitted".
