The place where Arthur just visited was known as the "Rootless Abyss".
Not an actual Abyss Entrance, but considering the size of the hole and the incomprehensible depths that it reached, those Wood Attributed Fae Masters whom knew of the Rootless Abyss used it services from time to time.
It possessed five levels, each level corresponding to a level of Law attainment within a Fae Master.
Unlike most other Fae Grounds, the harvesting and collection of Fae was completely restricted, and only a small portion of the Fae gathered from the Rootless Abyss would be sold by the "cashier" on the surface.
All Fae Grounds possessed this "feature" which allowed Fae Masters to perceive Laws quicker, although the number of "levels" that a Fae Ground possessed varied. However, how many levels a Fae Ground possessed was a measure of a Fae Grounds age.
Usually speaking, the older a Fae Ground the more levels it should possess.
A Fae Ground could also have a maximum of seven levels, corresponding to the first, all the way through to the seventh level of Laws.
No Fae Ground could ever produce an eighth level, or at least one that was comprehensible by Fae Masters, or Fae Immortals.
This was because the eighth level, ninth level and tenth level of Laws were unique. They were formed by a Fae Immortal, and were their own comprehensions and insights into their specific Laws. These last three levels were completely unique to that specific Fae Master, and no-one else in the entire Thirty Three Heavens would possess the same insight as them.
Fae Grounds were no exception.
"The Azure Envy Continent possesses the most Fae Grounds above the surface which is why they can be so liberal with regards to whom uses the Fae Grounds to perceive Laws. They use Tournaments and Competitions with other Sects and Clans in order to pick the spots every few decades.... They don't have to pay a price, they only have to be stronger than their peers. On the other hand, these Hollowed Heaven Fae Grounds cost currency, but they can be used freely by anyone. The only problem is, is that even I don't know where every Hollowed Heaven Fae Ground is....".
There were obviously pros and cons to every transaction, and a single night in the third level of the Rootless Abyss cost a Rank 4 Origin Essence Expansion Fae. Theoretically, the fourth level should cost a Rank 5 Origin Essence Expansion Fae, and then the fifth level should cost a-.
Arthur suppressed a sigh, such a thing was extraordinarily valuable, even in his previous life.
At any rate-.
Arthur sat down in a nearby restaurant, picking a corner booth and ordering a large amount of food. Closing his eyes slightly, Arthur peered at the Affection Tree Law Image within his Mind Origin Essence Sea, and could immediately feel the changes within his body.
Arthur moved the power of Laws within him, and the Corpse Attributed plants at the entrance of the restaurant suddenly bloomed, absorbing a thick amount of corpse attributed spiritual essence from all around it.
These variant corpse flowers didn't produce a noxious disgusting scent, but one that was pleasant to the nostrils, as well as one that preventing mortal corpses from rotting, or producing a horrible scent.
The owners and barmaids seemed extremely surprised by the sudden blooming but the pleasant scent increased their productivity as well as the vibrancy and drunkenness of their customers.
Arthur opened his eyes, letting his own body absorb some of the wood type spiritual essence around himself, feeling the effects of his new Law attainment.
"The second level of Wood Laws.... Gluttonous Roots. And the excess shadow type spiritual essence has been completely removed".
The young man smiled slightly, turning his head and nodding at the young barmaid who delivered the first portion of his meal. Arthur's green coloured hair and eyes seemed slightly out of place, but it seemed to fit his features and physique well, causing the fifteen year old young lady to blush and bow before leaving.
His features did attract the eyes of several other patrons, as well as the discussion from numerous drunken Fae Masters.
"Green hair? Green eyes? Does this guy think he's the Boundless Forest Yearning or something?".
"Oi! Don't shout you idiot! It's not a secret that there is a Sovereign Boundary Physique within White Corpse City!".
"Wait what?! Holy shit, is that actually true!".
"Everyone is talking about it these days! How the hell have you not heard about it!".
"I don't know man! I've been out hunting bandits these last few weeks! I only just got back today!".
The words Sovereign Boundary Physique were known to every single Human Being, regardless of class or origin. The
Extraordinary innate talent, exceeding that of any first-tier talent.
A Secondary Origin Fae, all of which were exceedingly powerful in comparison to most other Fae.
An innate ability, specific to every new wielder of the Sovereign Boundary Physique.
And a unique innate Law Image, allowing Fae Masters to perceive two Laws much easier than other Fae Masters could.
The Boundless Forest Yearning was the 22nd strongest Sovereign Boundary Physique. It's powers did not lie in open combat like the Perpetual Titan Strength or the Myriad Lightning Spear Sovereign Boundary Physiques.
Its powers lie in the limits of Emotions and the endless vitality and lifeforce of Wood.
With Arthur's new attainments in Wood Laws, he took the small knife in his hands, smashing its directly through his other hand!
The sight of which frightened the other patrons, as well as several of the barmaids who couldn't resist looking at such a handsome young man.
Blood splattered out, all of which contained a vibrant spiritual essence within, curtesy of the Rootless Abyss, and its seemingly endless amount of wood type spiritual essence.
Absorbing the spiritual essence from around himself, Arthur moved his power of Laws towards his left hand, gazing at the large wound watching it intently....
Within five minutes, Arthur, and many others watched as his hand repaired itself, the vitality and lifeforce within his body moving to regenerate the wound that Arthur had self-inflicted on himself. This was something independent of Fae or Fae materials.
Arthur's current understanding of Wood Laws allowed him to absorb spiritual essence or nutrients in order to make something grow. He could use vitality in order to force something to heal, or bear fruit.
That was the power Wood Laws.
When Arthur was still living within Parachenko Village, he needed specific Fae in order to help heal himself. One Fae could only one type of wound. Whether that be broken bones, severed tendons, ruptured organs, bruises, cuts, infections or even inflammation.
But specific Laws, like Life Laws, Wood Laws and Flesh Laws could all heal such wounds so long as the level of attainment was high enough.
The vast majority of Fae Masters, if they didn't know what other Laws they wanted to pursue, often used one of these three types of Laws in order to supplement their lack of any healing type Fae.
Water Laws were also good, and there existed a single level of Fire Laws which delved into rebirth, however that was much too high for the vast majority of Fae Masters.
Time Laws were always an option, however....
"Time Fae are rare as it is, so being able to find a Fae Grounds with Time Laws are almost-".
Arthur noticed someone stand at the end of his table, and raised his gaze slightly, peering at this individuals face. Unlike what one might think, it was one that Arthur had recognized.
Straightening his back, Arthur gestured for this person to sit down.
Arthur wasn't stupid enough to not show courtesy towards a Rank 5 Fae Master.
"This generations Boundless Forest Yearning is unfathomable. Not even twenty years of age, and already you've perceived the second level of Wood Laws.... I suppose juniors will always work to surpass their seniors".
Arthur smiled, pouring a glass of tea and extending it towards this elderly man.
"To hear those words come from the Leader of the White Dominion Sect, I can only be thankful for your praise".
