Exiting the Returning Galaxy Auction House, Arthur glanced at Lavinia and Valentine, both of whom showed expressions of caution, and reverence towards Arthur.
With a single glance of the both of them with Emotion Laws, Arthur could feel that "hope" was a growing emotion within the mother, while the daughter couldn't help but feel some sort of confusion, or worry.
She had just been bought by a man who said that "they will serve him in every capacity that a woman can serve a man", so Arthur could understand why she was feeling such things.
Arthur didn't particular care about Valentine, but was interested in her Boundary Physique. Her mother could be used to increase his cultivation speed, and was technically a mobile Origin Essence Liquid Pond.
She needed to increase her cultivation, as well as perceive Life Laws from her innate Law Image but given Arthur's knowledge of the future, something that like shouldn't be too hard.
Arthur handed them both a Rank 2 and a Rank 3 origin essence regeneration fae, not caring too much about the passerby's.
The mother and daughter pair glanced at them, and felt their eyes widen when they felt the undulations given off by the two Fae.
These were-.
"Use them to cultivate. The stronger you are, the better use you are to me. If you can perceive Life Laws from your innate Law Image, you will receive more benefits from me. Is that understood?".
Arthur gazed at them with the same cold, unfeeling gaze he did most other people. The mother and daughter pair shivered slightly under the emotionless gaze of their young master, but nodded, bowing deeply before placing the Fae within their origin essence sea.
It was still Arthur's fae, but so long as they wished, they could make use of its abilities.
Handing Lavinia a small piece of paper, Arthur continued speaking.
"Head towards the Crimson Sun Inn. The directions should be written down on the piece of paper. Ask for Nyssa and she'll prepare a room for you both".
Arthur turned around and started to walk away, but Valentine's voice echoed out from behind him.
The nineteen year old Fae Master paused, turning around slightly and gazing at the similarly aged woman. She seemed slightly surprised and she glanced at her mother unconsciously before speaking.
"A-aren't you coming with u-us?".
She had heard from other slaves that female slaves would often accompany their masters the moment after they had been purchased. It was the main reason why anyone would purchase female slaves in the first place.
But Arthur here was-.
"I'm not interested right now. I have better things to do".
With that, Arthur just turned around, walking away from the Returning Galaxy Auction House. He headed towards the northern sections of White Corpse City, his figure quickly vanishing amongst the veritable sea of people walking the City streets.
Valentine and Lavinia both felt slightly concerned about what Arthur was going to have them do, immediately after purchasing them. Valentine in particular. They knew that in the future, they would inevitably have to serve Arthur, but getting brushed off so quickly, and so resolutely was just....
Valentine didn't know what to feel.
Should she feel grateful that he didn't want her body?
Or should she feel angry that her charms weren't enough for him?
He did possess a Sovereign Boundary Physique, so theoretically there should be plenty of young women trying to earn his affections. Even if they didn't want to, he could still forcibly earn their affections as well!
And yet....
Lavinia nudged at her daughters side, her beautiful mature figure earning the gazes of some other male Fae Masters.
"Valentine, let's head to the Inn that the young master mentioned. We need to find this "Nyssa" person that he mentioned before".
Valentine snapped out of her train of thought, turning towards her mother and nodding. The mother and daughter pair walked towards the other side of White Corpse City, heading towards the rest of Arthur's companions.
Arthur on the other hand-.
"Hello sir! What can I do for you today!".
Arthur entered a large store, one filled to the brim with Wood Attributed Fae and Wood Attributed Fae materials. There were even Wood Attributed Corpses near the window that were on display, the vast majority of which were spirit plants.
This was one the many stores that lined the the streets of White Corpse City, one that specifically catered to Wood specialist Fae Masters. It was completely inconspicuous, completely normal by every definition of the word.
And yet-.
Glancing around, Arthur didn't particular see anything that interested him, but just tapped on the table several times before gazing into the eyes of the cashier. Despite the strange depth to Arthur's gaze, this cashier felt absolutely nothing in front of a former Fae Immortal.
Arthur spoke.
"I need to use the basement".
The cashier just smiled before extending his arm forward towards Arthur.
"For how long?".
Arthur paused for a moment before shaking his head.
"Just for the night".
"Which level?".
Arthur let out a deep breath before his tone became resolute.
"The third level".
The smile on the cashier's face widened significantly, before he handed Arthur a small token with the number "3" on it. The sound of a bell echoing out, and a door opening could be heard from behind Arthur, and the young looking cashier only shouted out from behind him.
"Hello sir! What can I do for you today!".
The same happy go lucky tone resounded throughout the store, and the same mechanical fashion in which he responded to Arthur's questions, sent shivers up the former Fae Immortal's spine.
There existed way to many organizations which lurked beneath the waters surface. Sects and Clans that lorded over an entire region may be the dominant powers within an area, but they were by no means unfathomable in the scheme of things.
Arthur knew of the World Of Madness, which shocked him to the very core and was something that he would never tell anyone, not even in the face of absolute destruction.
He also knew of the background behind the Returning Galaxy Auction House. An unfathomable existence, which transcended multiple Heavens, the founder of which was a former Rank 9 Fae Immortal, someone who reached the apex of existence.
He knew of Sovereign Boundary Physiques, and their relationships with the Myriad Races. Their components completely unknown to Arthur as they too transcended what was once thought "normal" and allowed a Fae Master to perceive more than three Laws.
Intents. Bloodlines. Spirits.
All of these were the subject of Fae Master research and development.
There were also Laws, and their relationship with the natural order and flow of the Thirty Three Heavens. Arthur had yet to comprehend how the Laws created by the Dao, affected the Laws affected by Madness.
Those creatures that he had seen.... were beyond anything he could've ever imagined.
But within the Thirty Three Heavens.... there were also places beyond anything imaginable.
Human Heaven possessed the Seven Continents and the Seven Seas. The vast majority of which was covered by the Seven Seas. There were also Fae Grounds which littered the surface of the Seven Continents, as well as sections of the Seven Seas.
However.... that was only on the surface.
The Amber Pride Continent was connected to the Abyss. A section of space-time which was unbelievably warped and affected by the remnants of a forgotten era. It connected the Thirty Three Heavens, although said pathways were not always stable, or existing at every given moment in time.
One path to Timeless Heaven today, might be a path towards Ocean Heaven tomorrow.
Likewise with the paths towards Human Heaven.
But underground.... underneath the surface of every planet was a microcosm of the entirety of the Thirty Three Heavens.
It wasn't particularly useful information, considering that there was absolutely no natural sources of light, with the sole exception of large territories but-.
Arthur looked down towards the hole at the end of the path. The size of which was more than enough for several Umbral Shadow Wolf Transformations to fit through. Arthur looked down, and noticed the thick, vibrant wood type spiritual essence in the air around him.
The Spirit Affection Tree Fae within his Mind Origin Essence Sea wriggled pleasantly as it harmonized with the wood type spiritual essence.
Without even so much as hesitating, Arthur leaped down into the black abyss, holding the "3" token in his hand tightly.
