Arthur glanced at the group of black garbed individuals that had just entered the Inn, before tapping the table rhythmically, drawing the eyes of everyone present.
Arthur and the rest of them had spent more than half a year together, and adding the time they had spent training within Parachenko Village, Arthur had spent almost two entire years training and guiding Parvan, Nyssa and the others.
Creating inconspicuous little gestures, that could be mistaken for nervous twitches or random movements was something that Arthur had picked up in his previous life.
Such a thing had saved his life, more than once.
Arthur was sitting in the seat closest to the isle and as such, could hear the footsteps approaching him.
Just with a quick discernment with Arthur's Emotion Laws, and he could feel the waves of pride and arrogance rolling off these dozen or so individuals. A few of them felt slightly worried, and a couple even felt apprehension as they drew closer and closer towards Arthur.
However-.
"Which one of you is the Boundless Forest Yearning?".
Everyone at the table, including Milena paused, putting their books and utensils down, before turning towards this young man. Their brows furrowed and their expressions showing an open annoyance.
Arthur just leaned back in his seat, turning his head towards the Inn manager, raising his hand slightly.
"We'll take the bill now thank you".
The young man, whom Arthur could feel the waves of arrogance rolling off on, felt a spark of anger ignite deep within him, bubbling to the surface, growing like an infestation of rats or plague.
Slamming his hand down on the table, the young, black garbed young man narrowed his eyes at Arthur, his tone laced with arrogance and venom.
"So its you then.... You don't look like much".
Arthur just sniffed the air slightly, before showing an expression of disgust. Turning towards Eric, who was sitting right beside him he narrowed his eyes slightly.
"I didn't know that they let animals in here".
Eric suppressed a chuckle, but failed spectacularly.
The young man standing at the front of Arthur's table, slammed his arm down on the table, smashing off a piece of wood, a display of his immense physical strength.
Nyssa and the others narrowed their eyes.
This persons cultivation.... was definitely higher than their own....
Arthur glanced at the broken table fragments, before lifting his gaze, looking at this young man directly in the eye.
Just staring at Arthur in the eye, these White Dominion Sect inner disciples felt a wave of killing intent wash over them. In the blink of an eye, it felt as though they had been transported into a world of blood and death.
The hairs on their arms raised, and the skin on the back of their neck perked up, feeling the presence of death all around them. A layer of cold sweat suddenly appeared on their backs, and their breaths hitched as Arthur stared directly at them.
Arthur lightly tapped his fingers on the table, letting out a deep breath.
The gaze of this young man, who was probably around their own age was.... unfathomable.
It was as if they were staring directly into the eyes of a peak Rank 5 Fae Master. In fact, in order to accumulate such a potent and pure killing intent, he must've experienced countless conflicts and spilled an untold amount of blood....
It wasn't as though they were facing a bloodthirsty asura, capable of sundering the Heavens and the Earth....
But a cold, inhuman demon, gazing at these innocent lambs as if a predator would his prey.... They danced playfully in the palm of his hand, entertaining him up until the point where they would no longer be useful-.
"No! Stop it!".
One of the weaker minded young women took a number of steps back, her expression pale and her eyes unfocused. Instantly she summoned a large, spirit beast Corpse, one covered in brightly burning flames.
This young woman, whose will and mentality was much less stable than the rest of them, instantly commanded her Corpse to attack Arthur. The presence of her Corpses flames did nothing to comfort the cold, unfeeling expression that Arthur just stared at her with.
This spirit beast Corpse was one that was at the peak of Rank 2. Something that none of the other Fae Masters could fight against alone, and yet-.
"How annoying".
Arthur gazed at the burning Corpse, before flicking out his arm summoning his Leafsword. He didn't even use his Wood Laws to enhance the strength of his Fae and just used his Leafsword to slice at the throat of this Corpse.
A green flash was reflected in the eyes of everyone present, before the sound of a headless corpse hit the ground.
Arthur looked down at the peak Rank 2 spirit beast Corpse, before thrusting his sword out, piercing the Imprint located within its body. The origin essence imprint shattered under the intense thrust, causing the young woman who created it to cough up a mouthful of blood.
A such a thing would normally not happen if an Imprint had been forcibly destroyed, but with her weak mentality and her unstable spiritual sea, the young black garbed disciple turned white in the face, a trail of blood spilling from her lips.
"Junior Apprentice Sister! You bastard!".
One of the other male disciples gritted his teeth, narrowing his eyes at Arthur before summoning numerous Coffins from his origin essence sea. All of them connected through a long, corpse essence dyed string.
Arthur raised an eyebrow.
"An Innate Treasure? Not too bad".
The half-dozen or so Coffins opened up, revealing numerous spirit beasts and spirit plants inside. All of them possessed the Corpse Attribute, however their secondary Attribute completely differed from one another.
"Silver Snow Wolf.... Spiky Weed Cactus.... Golden Iron Bull... Inferno Bird.... Stone Builder Pangolin....".
Arthur noticed the presence of the five elements before shaking his head and letting out a sigh. This Innate Treasure was pretty good, and yet this young man had wasted it by using such low quality Corpses.
He had tried to integrate the path of Arrays with the path of Corpses, but didn't have the correct Fae needed to compliment his Innate Treasure. Without the necessary Fae, or Corpses with a strong enough secondary Attribute, the cycle of the five elements didn't have the same power as what it should've.
However-.
Arthur dodged a powerful swipe, narrowing his eyes and tilting his body before flicking his sword out upwards, severing the arm that had just slashed at him. The arm which he had severed flew high up into the air before-.
It fell, being caught by a red-clothed individual, who quickly reattached the arm back onto his severed elbow. Arthur could feel a familiar power be exuded from this red clothed person, before feeling his eyes widen, noticing the numerous tentacles and flesh-bone veins explode outwards from the elbow, quickly diving into the severed arm, repairing the damage that Arthur had done.
Arthur turned towards the arrogant young man who had slammed his hand down on the table, who was smirking, while sitting down, faint crimson coloured lines emerged from his fingers, and attached themselves onto the body of the red-clothed individual in front of Arthur.
Arthur raised an eyebrow.
"Flesh Laws huh....".
