Chapter 291 - Corpse Shore Replica

The guard didn't make too much of Arthur's words, but the Fae Master observing Arthur from several thousand kilometres away felt no disturbance within the young man's Thoughts. There was nothing that indicated a lie, and considering his age, the it was almost impossible for him to come into contact with Thought Laws.

The names of all the Kovacs Clan members were recorded and written down. Stored away amidst a seemingly endless pile of records and knowledge.

It did seem strange that this young man possessed a Rank 3 Fae Master cultivation, but if he was a peak first-tier talent, someone with a 299% origin essence sea, then it wouldn't be impossible for him to reach Rank 3 before the age of 20.

In fact, Fae Masters with 290% or more origin essence seas usually reached Rank 3 before the age of 25. If they were lucky, they could spend another 25 years trying to reach Rank 4, and then spend another fifty years to reach Rank 5.

Of course, this was all without origin essence regeneration Fae. External factors changed the speeds of a lot of Fae Masters cultivations. It couldn't accurately measure a Fae Masters cultivation speed if they used an origin essence liquid pond as well.

The guard just nodded before gesturing for Arthur to enter White Corpse City. They would be entering the outskirts of the City, but if they continued down the road that they were currently travelling on, they would reach White Corpse City.

Arthur turned around, and gestured for everyone to follow him in.

Flicking the reins gently, Arthur's White Fog Bison snorted, walking slowly passed the thick Fae material gates.

His expression remained unperturbed, and yet gasps and expressions of shock and awe greeted the other nine Fae Masters the moment they passed through into White Corpse City.

"Is that.... a sea?".

Arthur heard Helga's voice, and gently shook his head.

"No. This is a replica of the Corpse Shore. It was created by the Founder of the White Dominion Sect".

Out of everyone present, Milena felt the most impacted by the sight in front of her. Immediately she felt the sheer amount of corpse type spiritual essence impact her origin essence sea, causing her hair and eyelashes to flutter. This wasn't a breeze or any sort of wind, but purely from the thickness of spiritual essence in the air.

It was almost on par with the spiritual essence released by the Monster carcase. But unlike the Monster carcase, which possessed far too many different types of spiritual essence, only corpse type spiritual essence could be felt by the passing Fae Masters.

It was a seemingly boundless yellow "sea". Faint yellow tinted clouds of spiritual essence gathered just above the waters surface, gently floating about, unhindered by the wind or rain. Off in the distance, one could see a large yellow cloud, transforming into a thick yellow rain, a type of low level Source Water had just been released back into the large Corpse Shore.

Nyssa and the others could see faint shadows swimming beneath the waters surface. Eels, sharks, crocodiles, swordfish, and all manners of different fish swam beneath the rolling waves. All of them had one thing in common....

They all possessed the Corpse Attribute!

One larger shark broke through the waters surface, opening its gaping maw to swallow a cloud of Corpse Attributed Source Water whole. Despite the fact that it possessed the Corpse Attribute, this strange shark was a living creature! One that had been specially cultivated by the White Dominion Sect!

It's large, muscular form glittered with a faint yellow light. Numerous scales covered its entire body, as large fleshy wings grew where its fins should be.

Arthur glanced at this shark, raising an eyebrow slightly.

"Flesh Wing Shark? A dual Corpse-Bone Attributed spirit beast.... it is at least a Rank 3 spirit beast....".

It swallowed the cloud of Source Water whole, diving back beneath the waters surface, its large shadow diving deeper and deeper until it could no longer be seen....

Everyone sat back down, bar Milena who was still gazing out unto the large Corpse Shore replica in front of her.

The Corpse Shore was a Fae Ground found in the Amber Sea. The Amber Pride Continent was directly south of the Viridian Greed Continent, and the Amber Sea was even further south.

The founder of the White Dominion Sect was someone originally from the Amber Pride Continent. He had connections in the Viridian Greed Continent, and possessed roots stemming from several million kilometres away....

It wasn't a particularly bit of well known information, but some geniuses from the White Dominion Sect occasionally go missing during their missions or travels. They weren't investigated by the Sect either which made most concerned about the upper echelons of the Sect....

Only a handful of people knew, that these geniuses were taken back to the Amber Pride Continent. Back towards the origins of their Sect....

Arthur glanced at Milena, smiling slightly.

'Even if I have to give her some secret knowledge, I'll push her to join the White Dominion Sect. The chances of her being a genius in such a place is relatively low, but if I impart her with a piece of future knowledge or two, her Fate will change drastically....'.

The importance of these other Fae Masters weren't all that high. If they died, then Arthur could always find another future genius and nurture them, allowing him to form connections between themselves and him.

Friends that would inevitably rise to high places, were better than no friends at all.

None of these Kovacs Clan Fae Masters possessed the knowledge or the talent of a genius. They didn't possess the resources or the background either. If Arthur could possibly nurture his own genius, one that was both loyal and indebted to him then....

'Why the hell wouldn't I do such a thing?'.

Arthur glanced at Milena, who was still starring at the Corpse Shore replica, while travelling alongside the road.

Every once in a while they would see small boats enter from the large port, carrying white garbed figures, bearing a Coffin emblem on their chests.

Just from a single glance, Milena could tell that their knowledge and attainments in the path of Mummification were extremely high. The Fae materials that their Coffins were crafted from were completely unknown to her, and the quality of their Corpses were much higher than her own!

She had even seen a Fae Master control a Corpse with the head of a Hammerhead Blood Shark, and the body of a Golden Rot Tortoise! Her eyes widened when she saw that the strangely conjoined Corpse could release a rotting poison capable of melting through Rank 2 defensive type Fae!

This was the School of Surgery! Surgically combining two different Corpses into one much stronger combined variant! From heads, to limbs, to tails and even organs! One could even create a fleshy monstrosity with the organs of a hundred different spirit beasts!

Another Fae Master touched the Coffin on his back, and felt the Corpse within it merge with his body. His arms glowed with a faint yellow light, before his flesh rippled emitting a thick, rotting stench as he slashed out, sending a wave of corpse-essence-filled slices towards an oncoming wild spirit beast.

He quickly removed his transfiguration and suddenly shifted to another Corpse. His fingers suddenly elongating, becoming rotting and foul before piercing straight through the spirit beast, slowly draining it of its blood essence....

This was the School of Transfiguration! Similar to the Metal Arms Fae or the Bronze Arms Fae, it transfigured an individuals body to something similar to a Corpse! It strengthened their physical strength, speed, endurance and stamina by an enormous amount! And even prevented pain and allowed Fae Masters to fight for much longer!

Arthur knew of a School of Transfiguration Grandmaster who possessed a Corpse that could enhance his own Law perception! Even though the effects were only temporary, since he was in possession of such a Corpse, he could spend time perceiving Laws much more efficiently than other Fae Masters!

Milena let out a loud sigh, completely ignorant of the fact that they had passed by the Corpse Shore replica, and were now entering the City itself.

Arthur could help but show a wry smile, not full well what such a feeling felt like.

"When I first saw a Sovereign Boundary Physique.... even I couldn't help but feel enraptured by its power and beauty.....".

In this regard, both Milena and Arthur shared some similarities.
