The grounds within Parachenko Village were littered with the remnant leaves and petals from numerous Fae materials. The short Summer season had finally passed, and the long rainy season had reared its ugly head over the Winter Rain Mountains....
The streams and rivers that flowed through Parachenko Village were now filled to the brim, and even some weaker spirit beasts could be seen swimming through the numerous waterways. The sound of rain was always a common occurrence within this region, and the faint water droplets gently colliding against the waters surface caused a slightly calming feeling to fill the minds of those still residing there....
They all stayed indoors, researching or cultivating, letting the sound of rain block out any external influence, and wash away their worries and regrets....
It had been roughly six weeks since Parachenko Village was completely destroyed by Arthur, or Elder Stas in this instance. With the thick spiritual essence being released from the Monster carcase, wild Rank 1 Fae materials bloomed all over the Village, regardless of whether they were nurtured or not.
Closer to where each Fae Master practiced, or cultivated, a concentrated amount of specific Fae materials also formed there as well.
Milena found numerous Corpse Attributed Fae materials near the graveyard, even more so than usual. While Dagen and Nyssa, who were also staying close to the graveyard, could find plenty of Blood Attributed and Bone Attributed Fae materials.
Henrik and Parvan could find plenty of Earth and Metal Attributed Fae materials, while Zlatanna and Helga could find numerous Storm and Wind Attributed Fae materials scattered around the practice field that mainly Zlatanna used.
Iryna step up her little shack on the outskirts of the Village. The terrain was relatively flat, but the roots and fallen trees had made it much more difficult to traverse, especially if one couldn't make use of the overhead tree branches and vines.
With her Spider Transformation Attributed Fae, Iryna became a fish in water, and had devoted herself to bettering her skill with her Transformations, and improving her knowledge on different Spider species spirit beasts....
Eric continued to waste himself away, occasionally going through some techniques and movements when he wasn't either drunk or sleeping. Arthur was waiting for the right moment to get rid of him, and had already used his Animosity Tree Fae on him a few times.
"It'll be a good test run. I haven't actually found a good target for this specific Fae....".
It would take a little while for it to work properly, but very soon Arthur would get to see just how effective his Secondary Origin Fae's counterpart was.
It was the perfect counter to the Affection Tree Fae, so it should possess at least similar affects, despite not being apart of a Sovereign Boundary Physique....
Arthur hadn't managed to create any new variations of a Ghost yet, at least one that possessed a Wood Attribute. He had made two Water Attributed Ghosts, one with Spectre-class and one with Ghost-class potentials, but had given both to Nyssa to research.
They weren't what he wanted, despite the fact that he had spent quite a few Fae materials in order to do so.
Arthur had spent quite a bit of his time within the Nightfall Origin Essence Liquid Pond, cultivating silently without telling any of the others. He had already pushed past hadron ruby origin essence and was working his way towards the peak of Rank 2.
Give it just a couple more weeks, and Arthur would be able to solidify his cultivation as a Rank 3 Fae Master. If he had such a level of cultivation before he decided to destroy Parachenko Village, he could do the entire thing without having to worry about anything.
His Fae might be slightly falling behind, considering that the vast majority of them were Rank 2, but his physical abilities would definitely exceed most of the older Elders within the Clan. The effects of the Blood Fruits from the blood essence gathering tree were practically non-existent at this point, and with it, Arthur could just barely fight against a vapour topaz origin essence Fae Master.
The Laws and his Intent would be able to make up the difference however, which was the dividing line between himself and the members of the Kovacs Clan.
Having a Sovereign Boundary Physique was one thing, but giving a Sovereign Boundary Physique to a former Fae Immortal? It was akin to giving wings to a tiger.
Arthur didn't neglect the development of either of his Wood Laws or Emotion Laws. He had managed to develop Attribute Control Skills for each of these different Laws, and strengthening his Laws, inadvertently increased the power of his Attribute Control Skills.
The first level of any Law, would increase the strength of any Fae by roughly 50%. That meant that Rank 2 Fae, which were normally weaker than their Rank 3 counterparts, could rival them with this 50% boost to effectiveness and strength.
Now increase the strength of every single Wood Attributed Fae in Arthur's Grass Reflection Kill by 50%, and then use it on a Rank 3 Fae Master.....
Unless the specialised in certain Transformation, or defensive-type Fae, it would be hard-pressed to find a Rank 3 Fae Master who could block such a thing.
The second level of Laws would increase the strength of a Fae by an additional 100%. As such, someone who had reached the second level of any Law could amplify the strength of their Fae by 150%. That in of itself was an attack that could cross the distance between Rank 3 and Rank 4.
If their opponent specialized in speed or in defense, then perhaps they could evade or endure the attack. But if they didn't and were forced to reply with their own strike, then if they weren't strong enough, they would undoubtably lose their life....
Fae Masters who could comprehend Laws were almost a myth within the Winter Rain Mountains. Elder Vova and Elder Anatol were the closest people to it, and even Elder Anatol and his garbage perception only managed to perceive a pseudo Fire Law after more than 500 years of cultivation....
This was mainly due to the fact that large Sects and Clans either possessed special locations, or had created special Arrays or Formations that could assist in the perception of a Law image.
Normally, perceiving a Law in such a fashion would result in a lower quality Law image, but over time, if a Sect or Clan could refine their techniques, and even Bloodlines, then a sort of conformity will appear within their blood. It makes an individual more susceptible to certain Laws, or Law images, strengthening them even further.
This was one of the reasons why Clans and Sects, Clans in particular were so strong.
From the get go, they were built differently....
"I wasn't particularly one to research Bloodlines or Spirits or even Innate Immortal Treasures in m previous life, but I can't neglect my study on them either this time around. The Boundless Forest Yearning has a special Bloodline and a unique Spirit attributed to it. In terms of Innate Immortal Treasures though, I'm afraid that I'm at a loss....".
Other than the Shadow Attribute and the Bone Attribute, Arthur's study into Physiques was at a distant third. There was no such thing as a Physique Attributed Fae, or even a Bloodline Attributed Fae, but one could influence both things with Fae materials, and certain Fae.
The boundary between a Rank 5 Fae Master and a Rank 6 Fae Immortal was called "Ascension". It was a complete reformation of the Mind, Body and Soul.
It was the only time that the lifespan of an individual, regardless of their origins or Race, was lengthened.
For Humans, their roughly 90-100 year lifespan was increase to roughly 200 years. It was doubled, give or take ten years either way.
Ascension would also be different for every Fae Master, so it was impossible to prepare, or calculate against, regardless of how many Fae or unique treasures one accumulated. In fact, preparing more Fae and more treasures would make the Ascension harder, but the rewards at the end would be all the more sweeter....
Some Fae, Fae materials, rare minerals and spiritual medicines could assist in the formation of potentially two things.
The first being a Bloodline, which was born from the Body.
And the second being a Spirit, which was born from the Soul.
They were similar to Intent which was born from the Mind, although Intent was much more flexible, and theoretically could be formed by any Fae Master, regardless of Rank.
In his previous life, Arthur hadn't formed Intent until much later in his life, and during Ascension, he had formed the Starless Night Bloodline and the Bone Imp Spirit. Both of which were combat oriented, but relatively average in the scheme of things.
Arthur clenched his fist tightly, feeling the origin essence within him churn.
He wouldn't allow himself to fall into mediocrity. Even if he had to kill Parvan and Milena in order to do so.
