Approaching Elder Zarek's residence, Arthur could hear the echoed screams and cries from mortals and Fae Masters running frantically through the streets of Parachenko Village. Occasionally a random individual affected by Hatred Imperfection Powder would snarl and sprint towards Arthur, only to be greeted with a grass shard to the brain stem.
Bodies fell to the floor around Arthur quicker than the time it took for the Hatred Imperfection Powder to take effect, so Arthur opted just to sever the Achilles Heel in one of their legs, letting them hop violently towards him.
Arthur didn't even so much as blink as he kicked down the door to Elder Zarek's large residence. He lived on the main street of Parachenko Village, near the store that his son Robert managed, so it was closest to where Arthur currently was.
The seventeen year old entered the residence, not at all caring about the screams that had come from some of the people hiding inside, and Arthur flicked his wrist slightly, killing every single person present save one.
His eyes landed on Robert, the oldest and legitimate son of Elder Zarek.
The middle-aged man shook as he held the body of his dead wife in his arms, before turning towards Arthur with an expression of hatred marring his face.
"Arthur! You son of a bitch, what is the meaning of-".
"Where is Elder Zarek?".
Arthur waved his leafsword, severing Robert's feet from his ankles. The Father of Alina gasped in pain, as a maddened expression of Hatred overtook him.
"You little fucker! I don't even need my Father in order to take you out with-".
Arthur could feel him gather his origin essence and quickly waved his leafsword along the soft, tender meat of Robert's neck. The middle-aged man paused for a moment, before Arthur saw the light fade from his eyes, his head falling onto the wooden floorboards beneath him.
If he wasn't going to answer his question, then his usefulness had run out.
The only option left for someone like that was....
Arthur heard faint squeak come out from behind him before he turned around, noticing both Ratimir and Alina standing there, expressions of horror and shock marring their faces.
They both felt their eyes widen the moment they saw Arthur's cold expression, feeling an bone-piercing cold crawl up their spines, far more intense, and much more dangerous than the gaze he gave off during the Fae Master Tournaments.
Ratimir's hand started shaking, and a Watersword Fae appeared in his hands.
Alina's frozen face just stared at Arthur for a second, before tilting downwards slightly at the decapitated figures of her Father and the fearful expression of her Mother was burned into the very depths of her Mind.
Arthur glanced at the bodies around him before turning back to face Ratimir and Alina.
"Do you two know where Elder Zarek is?".
Ratimir just felt the grip on his sword tighten, and his face warped into one of hatred and rage, his figure flickering and reappearing behind Arthur, sword poised and ready to strike.
Arthur didn't even need to glance behind him as a grass shard collided with Ratimir's strike, adjusting the direction of his blade and causing him to narrowly miss Arthur. Before he could even respond to the sudden use of an Attribute Control Skill, a green coloured blur collided with Ratimir's jaw, piercing his brain and causing his figure to fall like a house of cards.
Aline still just stood their frozen, her breathing erratic and her pupils constantly dilating as a wave of nausea overtook the young girl.
Arthur gazed at Alina, sighing gently before cutting her throat.
"She was of no use to me either....".
The exact moment that Arthur left Elder Zarek's residence and entered the street, he paused, turning his head slightly and noticing the approaching figures of two familiar people. Both of them clad in the garb of an Elder, as they too also noticed Arthur leaving Elder Zarek's residence.
On the right, Elder Zarek stepped forward, breathing a sigh of relief.
"Ah! Arthur! Good thing your here! The Clan Leader was looking for you! We've been attacked, and some of the water supply has been tainted with some unknown poison! It has caused mortals and Fae Masters all over the Village to attack each other! Mortals can even gain the strength of a Rank 2 Fae Master for a short period of-".
"Zarek. Stop".
Elder Zarek paused, turning towards Elder Velika beside him with narrowed eyes. Turning his head, he saw the pale expression on Velika's face as she summoned her Rank 3 Lightning Spear Fae. It was one of the few Rank 3 weapon type Fae within the Village.
"Elder Velika what are you doing! Arthur is one of-",
"Look at his weapon", she muttered.
Elder Zarek noticed Arthur coming out of his residence, which was strange but given the circumstances was more than likely looking for him. The exact moment that Elder Velika spoke those words, Zarek turned and peered at the weapon in Arthur's hands.
It was his signature leafsword. Although it was looking more red than green now-.
Elder Zarek's breath hitched and he finally noticed Arthur's expression.
The seventeen year old smiled politely, turnings his own gaze towards the blood dripping from his blade, causing him to raise his sword and flick the remaining blood onto the ground.
A crimson splatter appeared on the streets of Parachenko Village. Certainly not the first, and definitely not the last.
"Two Elders at once huh..... Well, its not impossible but....".
Arthur activated his Rank 2 Wind Stalker Fae once more, his speed blinding as he suddenly reappeared directly in front of Elder Zarek, his leafsword raised and glowing a brightly coloured crimson.
The Earth specialist Elder froze on the spot, blinking for a second as Elder Velika stood in front of him, raising her Lightning Spear Fae in addition to numerous Rank 2 defensive Lightning Attributed Fae.
Arthur's Falling Autumn Maple slashed out, causing the skin between Elder Velika's index finger and thumb to shatter, causing a burst of pain to ripple out from both of her hands. The elderly woman barely had any time to register the pain before any flurry of Falling Autumn Maples were launched towards her and Elder Zarek.
"Shit!".
Pushing her friend and fellow Elder out of the way, Elder Velika's eyes widened as half a dozen twenty metre long crimson moons sliced through her body. Her arms, legs, abdomen and neck were all severed cleanly, as her body was cut apart at the seams.
She had never expected.... that Arthur of all people would....
Elder Velika died.
Elder Zarek had barely recovered from the shock before he stood up, narrowing his eyes at Arthur, raising his arms and flicking his fingers towards him, as a wave of Rank 3 Earth Lance Fae were launched directly towards the younger male.
Arthur smirked slightly, before dropping his sword into the ground, causing Elder Zarek's eyes to widen.
The Elder glanced downwards, extending a hand towards the earth beneath him, but could only widen his eyes, as a sea of beautifully coloured grass extended up from the ground, shooting towards him and covering his entire vision in a plethora of green and-.
Arthur didn't spare any origin essence as he launched hundreds of grass shards towards Elder Zarek. He might be an old man, but he was still a Rank 3 Fae Master. His physical endurance was higher than Arthur's, and who knows whether or not he had some unique defensive type Fae that could be applied to the body.
Arthur didn't stop shooting until his skull shattered and his heart exploded under the continuous burst of grass blades.
Like his friend beside him, Elder Zarek had been killed within a matter of moments.
All of Arthur's Wood Attributed Fae had been strengthened by his Wood Laws. Even something like a leafsword fae, was capable of piercing through just about every material below Rank 3, let alone after it had been enhanced by more Wood Attributed Fae and Wood type Laws....
This was the true power of an Attribute Control Skill.
