Chapter 238 - Another battle

In all things within the heaven and the earth, certain restrictions were placed. These were different from Laws that could be perceived by Fae Masters, although Fae Masters specializing in Arrays, Inscriptions and Rules could still "see" where the limits of these restrictions were.

One of these rules, is that the Myriad Races cannot possess three Attributes.

Another one of these is that without a Sovereign Boundary Physique, an individual cannot possess more than three Laws at any given time.

As such, human beings and the Myriad Races are limited in terms of what Attributes, or Laws that they can possess.

Some spiritual medicines and precious metals and minerals can possess more than three Attributes. Even up to five in the most rare of instances. However, they are neither living beings, or capable of any sort of thought or imagination.

This is the restriction that the heavens and the earth have placed on these materials. Keeping a balance between the restrained and unrestrainable.

Spirit beasts and spirit plants were capable of awakening a certain level of intelligence and could cultivate, opening up their origin essence seas. They too could possess up to three Attributes, however were not limited in terms of Fae, like any of the Myriad Races.

Spirit beasts and spirit plants could not form Intents and found it extraordinarily difficult to form Laws within themselves. They could create Bloodlines easier than Humans did, and at the cost of their intelligence, they could breed and propagate much quicker than other species.

Beast Kings were the exception to this rule, however only one Beast King can exist for each species at a time. In a way, they were similar to Sovereign Boundary Physiques.

Now imagine a creature, one that possessed the variable talent of Humanity. The innate abilities and affinities towards Attributes like the Myriad Races. The extended lifespan and ability to form Bloodlines and spread its seed out quicker like the spirit beasts and spirit plants. The gift of Fae materials, being able to possess three, four, five, possibly even six Attributes at once?

What would you call it? Such an existence would be close to a God in terms of talent.

However, like all things in the World, certain restrictions would be placed on them.

And that is, Madness.

Niklos lifted his head towards the western section of the Village, as did every single other creature within Parachenko Village. They could feel a certain trepidation grow within them, as seeds of fear were planted with the sounds of roaring and uncontrollable fury.

Restrictions had been placed on Madness.

Order had been brought to the disordered.

And the World was trying to create something that was balanced in its own eyes.

That.... was a Monster.

The giant gelatinous flesh mountain crawled towards Parachenko Village, trying to find the insignificant reincarnate who dared to thrust such a disgusting and unwanted Fae into its own body.

For some reason, Randolf still existed within the Madness. Even facing an existence that caused Arthur to freeze the moment he saw it, a sliver of consciousness still remained within him....

The rolling mountain of flesh constantly burned and froze as limbs crafted from cold flames extended towards Parachenko Village. Trees of metal and stone extended outwards, and lightning shaped Desires and Thoughts reached out towards anything that resembled Arthur.

The World was trying to make sense of Madness. Give form and structure to something that didn't originally possess either of these traits.

It was like trying to order infinity, only all the numbers were substituted for letters.

Arthur, groaning over his shattered shoulder, gazed up at the existence that the Heavens themselves tried to give order to.

This mountain of flesh, skin and random Attributes seemed to sprout seed of curiosity within Arthur. Even though the existence before him, both horrified and made absolutely no sense to the former Fae Immortal, he felt as though a door was opening up within his mind.

Possibility? Or perhaps his own gateway to the Madness?

Arthur stood up, shaking his shoulder slightly before activating a few healing-type Fae.

Turning around and noticing the numerous Fae Masters running towards the direction he had just come from, the reincarnate just turned around and started walking away.

The creature was definitely after him, so it was definitely a good idea to put some obstacles between it and himself.

And if they could kill it? Arthur certainly wouldn't be complaining.

The moment this Monster appeared in the Western Section of the Village, all of the traces placed around Parachenko Village had disappeared. The horrid sensation of being watched, the faint shadow in the corner of ones eye, the slight tingle of the hairs on the back of the neck.

They all ceased the moment this Monster opened its eyes.

Those crimson coloured eyes, the same shape as Randolf's only one had grown to the size of a fully matured adult, while the other one had expanded, dripping a yellow coloured pus at its size exceeded the limits of a fully grown tree.

The pus and blood that leaked out from its numerous orifices pooled and congealed on the earth beneath itself. The sheer amount of spiritual essence, of all different types and Attributes gathered around it, gradually forming smaller versions of itself from the liquid that seeped out.

The pus-filled blob of flesh and Attributes crawled towards the oncoming Kovacs Clan members, spraying out lightning shaped water and flames too cold to touch directly.

The unlucky Fae Master at the very front of the closest patrol, glanced up for half a second, feeling his eyes widened before-.

The pus enveloped his body, covering from head to toe in this thick, yellow, mucous. His screams of pain echoed throughout the fields on the outskirts of the Village, as his voice slowly died off, being replaced with the soft tender groan of a new-born child.

The faint cries of a baby entered the ears of the Fae Masters around him, before a small, yellow skinned creature shot out of the pool of mucous, grabbing onto the face of a Rank 1 Fae Master, and violently tearing and biting at his flesh and hair.

One of the other Fae Masters raised his arm and shot forward a barrage of shadow lances, uncaring about the possible injury to his teammate.

The shadow lances pierced through the Rank 1 Fae Masters skull and upper body, and also caused the yellow mutant baby to explode, causing a thick, acidic red blood to splatter all over the fields and dirt.

The faint sizzling of earth could be heard as another Fae Master was sprayed with the mucous.

Niklos and the other Elders looked at the monstrosity crawling towards them from a distance. The expression of fury and the cold tone of his voice immediately caused the other Elders to nod when they heard his words.

"I don't care how you do it, kill that fucking thing".
