While the vast majority of the Fae Masters within Parachenko Village were determined to follow the commands of the Elders in order to find the source of this mysterious traces placed around the Village, a single lone man walked silently throughout its streets, his eyes occasionally flashing a bright pink colour.
The existence of this strange unknown Attribute, and its potential for boosting the Kovacs Clan even further was not doubted at all by Niklos or the other Elders.
So long as they could obtain this new Fae, and learn some of the secrets about its Attribute, they would be able to gain another advantage over every other Clan in the region. They kept this information secret, and only told the Rank 2 Fae Masters and below that they were searching for the Fae Master whom had placed these traces.
Not the Fae itself.
On the other side of the Village, Arthur furrowed his brows, sitting down next to a field of spiritual plants. He had placed extraordinarily large amounts of Hatred Imperfection Powder all over the fields and spirit plants within Parachenko Village, and considering the presence of this new Attributed Fae, Arthur need to expedite his plans.
He was a solid ruby origin essence Fae Master, one with a Sovereign Boundary Physique, first level Wood Laws, Intent and numerous Attribute Control Skills.
He had just about milked Parachenko Village for everything that he could get. So long as he could get this unknown Attributed Fae it would make everything all the more worthwhile.....
Walking towards some of the more isolated sections of the Village, the small huts and shacks built by farmers or some depressed or lonely Fae Masters, Arthur constantly activated his Eyes Of Affection, feeling a slight drain with every subsequent activation.
It didn't use origin essence, but rather mental power and physical stamina. The more Arthur used this ability, the greater strain it had on his mind and physical body.
He was a Rank 2 Fae Master, so using it dozens of times in quick succession wasn't anything too stressful, but at this point he had already used it more than a hundred times today. Letting out a deep breath, the seventeen year old sat down beside a small picketed fence before gazing towards some of the other shacks in the area.
A frown marred his expression, and he quickly deactivated his Eyes Of Affection, hearing the faint sounds of hooves coming towards him.
Arthur turned his head to the side, his eyes flashing pink for a moment before another sigh escaped his lips.
Pretending too look slightly tired, Arthur lifted his arm and waved at the oncoming farmer, who smiled at a distance before also waving his hand. He could see that from Arthur's attire, he was a Fae Master, but the closer he got, the more and more this young man looked like the third young master.....
The middle-aged farmer's eyes widened, and he instantly got off his horse, approaching Arthur with a small leather canteen of bottled water.
"Young Master Arthur! Uh-, what are you doing here!? Do you need medical assistance? Or some water or some....".
The man appeared slightly concerned considering he had just run into the son of the Clan Leader out near the edges of the Clan, and he gazed out towards the forest in the distance, before turning his head, his eyes slightly wide.
"Did something attack you!? Should I get one of the patrols or-".
Arthur just shook his head, letting the back of his head lean against the picketed fence behind him.
"No that's fine. I was just looking for....".
Arthur paused for a moment, his eyebrow raised slightly as he peered at the middle-aged mortal standing beside him.
..... Perhaps.... honesty was sometimes the best policy....
The seventeen year old out a sigh and just shook his head once more. An expression of self-depreciation could be seen on his face.
"To be honest I've been looking into the strange feelings that everyone within the Village has been experiencing. I couldn't find anything within the main areas of the Village, so I thought that perhaps the source of these feelings would be somewhere more isolated, near the edges of the Village. I've looked practically everywhere but....".
Arthur just raised his arms and shrugged.
In front of this middle-aged man, Arthur could probably get him to do just about anything short of breaking the Clan rules. But trying to appear his age, and with the demeanour a teen would more than likely lower the guard of this middle-aged man.
The look on Arthur's face was similar to the one that he had seen his son make, after he failed to take care of some livestock. Arthur wasn't upset that he had failed in his task, but was more upset about disappointing his Father....
It also helped considering the colour of this man's line of affection were pink, not black.
The middle-aged farmer opened his mouth to speak for a moment before smiling and handing Arthur the canteen.
"The amount of land in the Village has increased from all the trees we cut down before the beast tide. I don't know exactly who purchased the land, or who currently lives there, but on the west side of the Village, past the fields and pastures, a section of land where trees have started to grow again have appeared.
Just before these trees started to grow back, a small cottage was built there".
Arthur's head lifted up instantly, his eyes unblinking.
The middle-aged man continued.
"The trees grew back really quickly, so it actually kind of looks like it was always apart of the forest surrounding the Village. I've never seen anyone enter or leave, so I kind of supposed that it was just some Fae Master who lost their loved one or something after the beast tides. I mean, it's a one in a million chance, but there are areas within the Clan that you might not have checked as a result of these new-".
Arthur didn't even so much as glance back as he exploded forward, towards the western section of the Village.
This faint sowing of karma was something that he had to repay, so he left behind an Image Fae within the man's back pocket.
It was the Fae that he had used to record Elder Zarek entering the man's house, as well as the subsequent actions taken between the Elder and the middle-aged man's wife.
He was going to kill them all anyway, so letting him know the truth of the world before his death, was a release from the blissful ignorance he had been living in.
Arthur didn't use any Fae, opting to silently steady his breathing as he ran towards the other side of the Village. He could be wrong, and this could be a complete and utter farce that had just distracted him from finding the real perpetrator, but.....
"On the off chance that this is real..... I can't let this opportunity escape me....".
