A few of the Rank 3 Fae Masters had just heard about this rumour regarding a young Rank 2, or at the time Rank 1 Fae Master who had comprehended a Law. The vast majority of them scoffed, rolling their eyes, doubting the validity of information in this backwards, middle of nowhere type place.
Their strongest Fae Master was a Rank 4 Fae Master, and even if he did possess the Attribute Control Skill and Fae of a Rank 5 Fae Master, without the power of Law, the strength of his Attribute Control Skill would decline by more than half.
All of them were experienced old men and women, who had seen the world and the might of Rank 5 Fae Masters. They might not be able to give their own first hand experience regarding ascension, perception of Laws, Fae Formula research, formation of Intent, or the existence of Bloodlines, but they could definitely tell you someone who had.
They had seen geniuses, "true" geniuses who could comprehend Laws at Rank 4, possibly even Rank 3 with the correct resources behind them. Their ancestors gave them Bloodlines, knowledge and wisdom far beyond what any backwater Clan like the Kovacs Clan could give.
The vast majority of these Fae Masters thought themselves better, or at the very least more enlightened in regards to the way the world worked than the Fae Masters belonging to Parachenko Village.
Most of them would never leave the Winter Rain Mountains in their lifetimes, so how could they hope to match the experience of someone who had.
All of them scoffed when they heard that a Rank 1 Fae Master had comprehended a Law. Some even felt angered by it.
Out of the entire caravan, only two people realized what had actually happened.
The Rank 4 Fae Master whom protected and led the caravan, and a single lone Rank 3 Fae Master. Said Fae Master was currently walking through the streets of Parachenko Village, looking for a "house built on the river".
The young man by the name of "Arthur", had the ability to "bend" the space of objects. In actuality they were still travelling in a straight line, however due to the "bending" of space, it only appeared to be twisted.
The existence of the runic symbols and the myriad glyphs around his arm was something that he had only seen once before. Even though it was a long time ago now and wasn't very common outside of large Sects and Clans, this particular bearded old man had seen something like that once before.
'The unification of one's Thoughts, Emotions and Desires. Their entire being is dedicated to the completion of a single wish. The power of Intent forms between the origin essence seas, flows throughout the body and becomes stronger as the distance between Thoughts, Emotions and Desires becomes closer..... The pinnacle of the Mind....'.
Forming a Law required a powerful perception, and usually for Humans, special resources that needed to be replenished until said Law had been perceived.
Forming an Intent on the other hand, only required a strong-willed Mind. The individual needed to be sure of himself, the world around him, and what he wanted to achieve in the World. An Intent was a wish, a prayer to oneself that they would complete, or become their own Wish.
Forming a Law seemed out of the ordinary, however forming an Intent was definitely possible. Rank 1 Fae Masters could definitely form such a thing.
This elderly man turned left and right before noticing the appearance of a strange, wooden house built upon a currently slow moving stream. The moon was barely visible tonight, even despite the lack of cloud cover. The way the moonlight fell down like silk reminded the old man of a time far in his past. When his own ambition and desires rivalled the Heavens and the Earth.
The old man showed a melancholy expression before letting out a sigh and walking up to the door. Knocking on it several times, he paused not hearing any responses before hearing the sounds of footsteps coming.
Arthur opened the door, clad in a thin black robe, his eyes narrowed as he looked at the unfamiliar face in front of him.
Noting the differences in appearance and in clothing, it was obvious that this old man was from the caravan. Arthur couldn't sense his cultivation either, meaning that he was at least a Rank 3 Fae Master as well.
His eyebrow raised a fraction of an inch before he turned around and shook his head at the two girls. Both of their bellies had swollen up quite a bit in the previous weeks, and at a rough estimate, they were probably slightly more than six months pregnant.
The old man, not wanting to appear rude, even despite his cultivation being higher than Arthur, gave a small bow, taking off his hat.
"My apologies for the late night interruption. My name is Ricardo. Ricardo Giovanni. I am the shopkeeper of the Transformation Attributed Fae in this years caravan".
Arthur nodded, slowly.
"I'm just going to assume that you already know who I am. Considering you knocked on my door of all doors".
Ricardo nodded, smiling slightly.
"We've already been in Parachenko Village for three days, and I heard a rumour regarding you, Arthur. It was about your fight during the previous Fae Master Tournament within Parachenko Village. The Villagers and Fae Masters all claim that you perceived a Law, however I'm not quite sure you understand just what you have comprehended".
Arthur just shook his head.
"I know its not a Law. I've had this conversation with one of the Elders in the Village".
That was a lie, but for the time being there was no way for Ricardo to find this out.
The elderly man smile grew slightly, and he nodded, gesturing for Arthur to come outside.
The seventeen year old frowned slightly, but closed the door behind him and stepped out under the faint moonlight. In Ricardo's eyes, the young man in front of him appeared quite handsome, especially under this dimly lit environment.
Arthur crossed his arms, trying to appear defensive in front of Ricardo.
The elderly man's smile never once faltered, and he tried to appease Arthur by using hand gestures.
"Before anything else, before I even ask you want I want to ask you, I just want you to know that the power you have formed is called an "Intent". Intents are a type of power that is formed from the unification of Thoughts, Emotions and Desires. It is born from the Mind essentially".
Arthur's eyebrow raised in faux surprise, but other than that he expression didn't change.
"Normally it is usually formed by Rank 3 or Rank 4 Fae Masters before they reach Rank 5, in the hopes that when they undergo Ascension and become Fae Immortals, their Intents become strengthened naturally. Someone like you, who has formed it as a Rank 1 Fae Master, is beyond talented".
Ricardo smiled inwardly as he tried his best to please Arthur. From his status as a son of the Clan Leader, he knew Arthur was probably used to flowery words, so using terms such as "Fae Immortals" and "Ascension" probably would've caused more questions to bubble up within him than anything else.
He wanted to draw Arthur in, and pull him towards him before anyone else could.
Arthur stopped crossing his arms, narrowing his eyes slightly at Ricardo.
"Why are you telling me all this? I apologise for my rudeness before hand, but I'd like for you to get to the point you are trying to make Mr Giovanni. Explanations came come after".
Ricardo paused for a moment before sighing and giving Arthur a small nod.
"If you insist Arthur, then I will have to be blunt".
The elderly man let out a deep breath before staring the seventeen year old directly in the eyes.
"When this caravan leaves, I'd like for you to come with me. If you follow me to Coastal City, I will be able to recommend you to the Slavik Clan. A powerful Clan with Rank 5 Fae Masters whom rule this section of the Azure Envy Continent Western Coast".
