Chapter 204 - Caravan

Arthur ate his skewered meat slowly as he noticed the large amount of mortals and Fae Masters gather around the entrance to the Village. The seventeen year old's body flickered slightly before he reappeared on top of one of the nearby houses, his eyes firmly placed on the large number of people walking towards the Village Gate.

There must've been at least a hundred people by Arthur's count. He couldn't remember the exact number in his previous life, but it wasn't common for large caravans to have less than a 150 people.

Arthur's eyes locked onto the different flags that was hung from their various carriages and tamed spirit beasts, before narrowing his eyes on one in particular.

Caravan's aren't always apart of the same store. They were however, all sub-members of the same Clan or Sect. And 90% of all these people, were without a doubt, Fae Masters.

"Earth Boned Horse.... Leaf Runner Stallions.... Water Seeking Camel.... Storage Frogs.... A couple of Burning Horned Ceratops as well..... Oh? Even a Six-Legged Reindeer! Not to bad.....'.

Six-Legged Reindeer were spirit beasts with the faintest traces of Sleipnir blood in them. Not even close to having a proper drop of blood essence within them, but more than enough to cause a mutation that allows them to grow another pair of legs.

They had high defences as well, and possessed both Wind and Ice Attributes. If they were partnered up with a suitable Fae Master, they could be considered extremely valuable mounts.

But seeing as though a Rank 3 Fae Master was riding it, it definitely wasn't for sale.

Arthur knew that all of the more valuable merchandise would only be available for the Elders and the Clan Leader to see, and even in his previous life he didn't get to see what "rare" and "unique" Fae that the caravan was selling.

His Father wouldn't tell him, but perhaps this time.... he would have a better chance of getting that information out of him.

The caravan would be here for an entire month, so that was more than enough time to try and chip away at his Father's hesitance.

The members of the caravan stopped just outside the boundaries of Parachenko Village, before the Rank 3 Fae Master sitting atop the Six-Legged Reindeer turned around and shouted towards the rest of the caravan.

"Time to set up everybody! You can all rest when you're all dead or when you've got nothing left to sell!".

Arthur smiled slightly as the various Fae Masters in the caravan nodded before activating the Fae within their origin essence seas.

The people in Parachenko Village didn't have any such Fae, so watching the sight in front of them caused many eyes to widen in awe and in shock.

Various stalls, trees, buildings and structures started appearing all over the place, right in front of Parachenko Village. Buildings created out of wood, leaves, roots, bark, kelp, dirt and all manners of naturally occurring substances started shooting up out of the ground just outside the Village walls.

Some were created from burning earth, while others were created from coral of all different shapes, colours and sizes.

The various stores in the caravan all sold different wares and merchandises, some aimed at mortals, while the majority of which were aimed at Fae Masters. In order to keep their merchandise from spoiling or from going bad, different containment type Fae were needed in order to protect their investments.

Some Fae existed in different environments, and if they refined them, they might resist being refined again by another Fae Master, and would need to be fed periodically. Even if Fae Boxes, they still needed to be fed.

Which is where Storage Frogs, and other Storage type spirit beasts came into play.

All of these spirit beasts possessed a storage space within them, considering that they were all Spatial Attributed spirit beasts. They were capable of supporting a small environment within them, so long as they were kept fed and happy.

You could store people, Fae, Fae materials, precious spiritual herbs, heavenly medicines and various treasures within Storage Frogs! They were also a relatively docile species considering they had been bred in captivity and trained from young to obey Fae Masters.

One could even renovate the inside of a Storage Frog to resemble a living space, or just a habitat for Fae or other spirit beasts.

One of the more older specializations, when it came to Fae Masters, even older than the Blacksmithing Fae and the Alchemy Fae specializations, was the Tamer Specialization.

Unlike Blacksmithing Attributed Fae and Alchemy Attributed Fae, there wasn't exactly a Fae Attribute that specifically belonged to the Tamer Specialization, however there were Mind Attributed Fae, which could control the Minds of other living beings.

Mind Attributed Fae was a more.... broad term for the Fae that belonged to the Emotion Attribute, Thought Attribute and the Desire Attribute. One had to be familiar in all three to call themselves a specialist in the Mind Attributed Fae.

They couldn't promote mutations or transformations within Fae without having to use Transformation Attributed Fae, when it came to those Fae Masters who specialized in Taming, their was an even more strict requirement when it came to learning the basics in comparison to Blacksmithing and Alchemy.

One had to be familiar in multiple different types of Fae, on top of having to research the spirit beasts and spirit plants that they had tamed. Blacksmithing required knowledge on various metals, minerals and flames, while Alchemy required knowledge on plants, herbs, horticulture and flames.

One type of spirit beast might need a Source Flame, while another might need Source Water in order to mutate.

While Blacksmithing and Alchemy came about during the Contemporary Era, Taming came about the Era before that.

The Miscreation Era. A time when the entirety of the Thirty Three Heavens focused their attention on the creation of the strongest and most powerful spirit beasts and spirit plants imaginable. So long as they could mass produce armies, they could wage war without having to waste a single life from their own Race.

Eventually, their own creations turned on them, and led to the wide-spread and diverse number of spirit beasts seen today.

Arthur wanted to see if he could purchase a Storage Frog from them, even if he had to give up some benefits in order to do so.

If he had a Storage Frog once Parachenko Village was destroyed, he could take as many things as he wanted, without having to worry about space or having room to carry them all in.

He could just use Storage Fae, but in order to feed such Fae, Arthur needed an extraordinarily large amount of materials, which he would have to make room for so that they would remain unspoiled, making even less room for other precious materials.

It just.... didn't work.

Arthur leapt down from the top of this house and approached the various stalls and markets being set up all along the outside of the Village. Eventually, his eyes set on an unextraordinary looking house, one with a small rose garden outside, with small vines hanging from the rooftop.

A small sign could be seen hanging above the quaint wooden door.

"Sophia's Emotion Fae Emporium".
