Chapter 191 - Now do you believe me?

Entering the medical tent, Arthur noticed his grandfather sipping tea silently next to a large number of occupied beds. These were all the injured Fae Masters from the Tournament, and considering that there was over ninety participants this year, those from the Medical Hall were kept quite busy.

Arthur's grandfather glanced at Arthur, who then smiled before shaking his head.

"That little "diary" of yours was quite the little piece of literature, wasn't it?".

Arthur nodded.

"I was not kidding when I said that I destroyed it, but I did write down everything before I did. That was what came from my memories and comprehensions, not from the actual source".

The Medical Hall Elder nodded slightly before glancing to the two young men in Arthur's arms.

"Just throw that one on any bed and I'll assign one of the others to heal them. But Elder Zarek's bastard son will need a slightly more.... delicate hand in order to properly heal him. Give him here".

Arthur dumped Dagen on the closest bed, before handing Henrik over to his maternal grandfather. The illegitimate son of Elder Zarek would need quite a bit of healing before all of the blood poison within him could be removed.

He needed to regain his strength before anyone could purify the poison as well. Lest, his life force drains away alongside the poison from his body.

It was in that single moment that the doors to the medical tent swung open, and Niklos' figure flickered towards Arthur and his father-in-law. Arthur felt a hand being placed on his shoulder, as he felt Niklos pull him into his embrace.

"For a genius Arthur, you are quite the stupid young man", he sighed.

Arthur didn't feel any sort of emotion bubble up from within him, and only pretended to show a slightly guilty expression as he patted his Father's back.

"Would you believe me if I told you that Elder Zarek would've killed Dagen today?".

Niklos' eyes widened slightly before he paused for a moment, nodding.

"Actually.... no, I wouldn't be. His affinity for Blood Attributed Fae aside, just giving him up in order to placate Elder Zarek and his family would be completely fine in my book. Although.... speaking of books....".

Arthur and his grandfather shared a glance before the former just shrugged, shaking his head slightly.

"That isn't the original diary, however, every word in it is exactly the same as how I found it. It is both the and isn't the at the same time. To be precise, it isn't the written by Humanity.....".

The value of the book that Arthur had given would fluctuate according to the place and the Heaven that Arthur was in. In Night Heaven, the book would be worth about ten silver taels. In Day Heaven, it would be worth about the same amount as a pile of dog shit.

In Human Heaven, in a Sect, it would be worth a lot, however, could be exchanged for merit points, Fae, Fae materials..... In a Clan, perhaps only the upper echelons would be able to view it, those who were descended from the Clan Elders, Clan Leaders and whatnot would be able to view it as well.

To an ordinary Clan like the Kovacs Clan.... it was probably worthy just as much as the Ocean Vein Tree Fae. If not potentially more.

If one could glimpse the Truths that existed within it, they could perhaps gain insight into Laws, Intents, Bloodlines and many more things that existed throughout the Thirty Three Heavens.

But in Parachenko Village, only one person had perceived a Law in such a way. And it had taken him almost his entire lifetime in order to do.

Glimpsing a Truth from the Shadow .... would be even harder than Ascension.

Niklos gazed at his son, before shaking his head and throwing his thoughts to the back of his mind.

'He gave up that book in order to save the life of that young man. I don't know whether I should be worried about how this book will affect the structure of power within the Clan, or why Arthur would give it up for just the life of a single Fae Master.... I suppose Arthur might be a pretty good teacher after all, if he's willing to give up such a thing in order to save his students life....'.

That was the most logical conclusion in Niklos' mind.

Arthur wasn't swayed by love, affection or even lust in this instance. Emotion or Desire played no part in the decision making process.

The only Thoughts he was having, were ones that tried to prevent him from losing anyone. Perhaps this was one of Arthur's heart demons, or mental demons, but at the very least, it showed that his son still cared about others. Or had the capacity to at least.

Niklos gave his father-in-law a small glance, before vanishing just as fast as he appeared. Arthur didn't even so much as blink as his Father flickered away, only turning towards his grandfather and nodding slightly before leaving the medical tent.

The Medical Hall Head Elder glanced at Arthur, showing a wry smile before shaking his head.

"Perhaps I should be worried that Arthur resembles his Father too much..... perhaps I should be hopeful that he turns out the same as him....".

The exact moment Arthur left the medical tent, he felt the gazes of countless Fae Masters, and numerous mortals fall on his figure. After his sermon, all that they were left with was Desire and Emotions.

A Desire for more. And a seemingly positive view on the young man.

.... Courtesy of one Affection Tree Fae of course....

Arthur wouldn't even hesitate using his Affection Tree Fae when the had the whole Villages attention on him. It had only been for about an hour, but it was more than enough to spread seeds of Affection to all of the mortals, and all of the Rank 1 Fae Masters present.

Using it on such a large number of people, all at once.... had caused the Rank 1 Affection Tree Fae to show signs of evolving!

He noticed Alina, Ratimir, Borik, and all the others from his generation look at him with awe, and an unhidden respect in their eyes.

While those Fae Masters from the current generation all looked at him smilingly, obviously somewhat happy that Arthur had saved Dagen from Elder Zarek. Arthur was willing to be punished by an Elder in place of one of his students, and even offered a powerful scripture up in place of himself and Dagen.

He was obviously willing to give up benefits in order to pursue a righteous and peaceful solution, so why wouldn't all these people have even the slightest bit of affection towards him?

If anyone knew what Arthur had done, or why he had done what he had just did, they would look at the sixteen year old young man as if he was some sort of monster.

He had just managed to turn almost everyone in the Village onto his side, with the added help from the Affection Tree Fae of course, but to the point where over time, even without having to use the Affection Tree Fae again, the seeds of affection within all their Minds would slowly take root, eventually sprouting and bearing fruit.

His Father was none the wiser, and the Elders were too busy focusing on what they could ascertain from the Shadow more than anything else. Even Elder Vova, who possessed a pseudo Rank 1 Wood Law attainment hoped to increase his Wood Laws to an actual Rank 1 attainment.

The possibility was just too much for him. And even if he had to go and ask Arthur about some of his own theories, he would without so much as blinking visit the Rank 2 Fae Master.

Arthur had had it for at least a year, so his grasp on the Laws hidden within the Shadow were greater than his own.

The whole of Parachenko Village, was Arthur's chessboard, and every living being present within its boarders were the pieces that Arthur was playing with.

He suppressed a smirk as he passed by Nyssa and Iryna, both of whom were gazing at him with something more than just affection in their eyes.

Even Parvan, Zlatanna and Milena in the crowds were looking at Arthur with strange looks on their faces.

He stood directly in front of his "teammates" showing a slightly tired expression on his face.

"Now do you believe me?".
