Chapter 177 - Falling Autumn Maple

"Alright. Time to see what the four of you have learnt over the past few weeks".

Arthur's smile turned slightly vicious as he gazed at the four slightly younger teens in front of him, all of whom returned the look with the same bloodthirsty stare.

Parvan; the Earth Fae Master specialist. His offensive and defensive power had increased quite a bit during the past few weeks under Arthurs training, although his supportive talents hadn't increased by much. He attacked from range, and could send out the Earth Ribbon Fae that he had earned from the Tournament which could defend his allies at the cost of his own defense.

He was currently a solid quartz origin essence Fae Master.

Arthur ignored a barrage of sharpened stone spears. His balance simultaneously took a nosedive as Arthur felt the ground beneath him shift, as a result of a Sand Shifting Fae.

The combination didn't let up there, as Parvan then used a Earth Shifting Fae, returning the transformed sand back into solid earth, trapping Arthur's feet in a layer of thick yellow coloured earth.

Arthur raised an eyebrow.

'Okay.... maybe his supportive talents have increased somewhat'.

The Rank 2 Fae Master turned his head to the side and noted the small, yet blindingly fast figure of Iryna coming towards him. The girl was currently using her Golden Poison Lance Fae in order to propel herself forward, the eight poison lances turned and pointed directly at Arthur's figure.

Iryna; the Spider Transformation Fae Master specialist. Over the past few months the number of Spider Transformation Fae had exploded with the region around Parachenko Village. Arthur was sure that the girl wasn't nearly as strong as she was in this life, and knew that out of all them, she was the one he had to be careful the most out of.

Even if she was still also just a solid quartz origin essence Fae Master, and was also under the effects of the Affection Tree Fae, it didn't mean that Arthur couldn't be killed by her.

Poison was a dangerous power, also belonging to another person on this team.

Arthur smirked slightly activating the Rank 2 Winter Conifer Fae right in front of him to block Iryna's attack. The large, almost 25 metre tall tree exploded out of the ground right in front of Arthur, freeing him from his earthen prison and causing Iryna to stop and retreat somewhat.

Seeing her take caution in her actions, Arthur nodded slightly.

"If you guys keep running there isn't a single chance of any of you being able to beat me! I could kill Randolf, a Rank 2 Fae Master as a Rank 1 Fae Master! What chances do the four of you all have in trying to beat me!".

Getting them used to talking dirty was important as well. Letting their emotions get the better of them during a fight wasn't the same as in the books. Unless they had Fae that strengthened them depending on their emotions, things such as pride, hatred and rage only clouded their choices.

Prevented them from seeing the bigger picture.

Seeing that none of them responded to his provocations, Arthur nodded slightly.

"I guess if you won't come to me, then I'll just have to come to you!".

The ground beneath Arthur's feet exploded with an enormous amount of kinetic energy. His strength rivalled solid ruby origin essence Fae Masters, and that was without the use of any external influences like Fae!

He arrived in front of them all in a flash, and activated another Fae for the first time.

Bright, emerald coloured leaves gathered around his hand, sharpening and extending into the shape of a sword. This Rank 2 Leafsword Fae was one that he had received from the Clan, but considering he was still only a Rank 1 Fae Master when he received this Fae, he hadn't refined it until recently.

Arthur wanted to start removing all of the Rank 1 Fae from his origin essence sea, slowly replacing them with Rank 2 Fae. Evolution was the easiest method, but Arthur didn't have all the Fae Formula for such a thing. The only thing he could do, was find variants for his old Fae, or replace them completely.

He had already given up his Rank 1 moonsword fae, but kept it with him for the time being. He had other plans for such a Fae.

Arthur's eyes gazed into Parvan's own, a glint of respect could be seen within the latter's eyes.

He hadn't fought Arthur before they started training together, and he had started to understand both his strength and his talents. Parvan himself was only a peak third-tier talent, so he was only slightly different to Arthur in terms of origin essence seas.

And yet the man in front of him had already left him in his dust.

Parvan shouted, raising his arms up as he summoned an immense stone monolith before him. It only protected his front, but its thickness and origin essence expenditure was more than high enough to protect him from just a Rank 2 Leafsword-.

A flash of green appeared in Parvan's eyes.

His face turned pale, and his mouth widened slightly as Arthur sliced through this Rank 1 Stone Monolith Fae, almost causing him to forget that he was still in a fight right now.

"Parvan watch out!".

Arthur's eyes flashed green as he extended his free arm, summoning a Rank 2 Wisteria Fae. The long, purple coloured vine coiled around into a circle, covering the entirety of Arthur's body. A huge spray of corpse acid filled the air as the dirt beneath Arthur's feet started melting like butter in a hot pan.

Arthur's eyebrow raised slightly.

"That's.... a Rank 2 Corpse Acid Fae?".

Milena; the Corpse Attributed Fae Master specialist. Most of her family were Fae Masters, and she was a descendent of the grave keepers within Parachenko Village. She was given the Rank 1 Corpse Flower Fae as a reward, and similarly over the past few weeks, she had found quite a number of new Corpse Attributed Fae.

She was the only person out of the lot, who was a Rank 1 hadron origin essence Fae Master.

Arthur turned to his left and noticed that the other member of the party, Zlatanna had moved Parvan away from Arthur. One of his strongest defences had been shattered in a single blow, and out of all of them, Parvan defense was the highest.

It didn't exactly bode well for any of them.

The figures of the four he was currently training, Parvan, Iryna, Milena and Zlatanna appeared before Arthur. All of them had their Fae activated, staring at him as if he was some sort of beast, rather than a fellow Fae Master.

He smiled nodding slightly.

'They aren't exactly the most perfectly coordinated team, but for one that has just been established about a month ago, its not too bad. The only problem is, is that their cultivations are too low....'.

Arthur needed them to at least all be Rank 2 Fae Masters in order for them to actually be useful. They needed to be able to fight actual Rank 2 Fae Masters, even though as a team they could probably already bring down the current Randolf.

He eyed the last member of the team, the tall, short haired girl Zlatanna.

Zlatanna; the Wind Attributed Fae Master specialist. Despite specialising in Wind Fae, she still continues to practice with various types of weapon fae. In fact, in terms of variety, she probably has more than Ratimir. She found a Rank 2 Wind Greaves Fae after the beast tide, which greatly increased both her speed and personal defense significantly.

She was also a Rank 1 solid origin essence Fae Master.

All of them were strong in their own rights, but what Arthur wanted was them to be strong together. Brainwashing people, especially Fae Masters wasn't the easiest thing to do in the world.

The easiest way was to give them an ultimatum.

Join me or die.

But that was much to obvious for Arthur. He would be reported to the Clan within minutes and perhaps even have his cultivation crippled.

Tempering these four would take time.... and need to be done with the utmost precision.

But.... before you started training a pack, you needed to tell them who was in charge.

This.... was where the use of force came into play.

He had been working on this for the past few weeks, even slowing down his cultivation in order to create this pseudo-Attributed Control Skill.

Unlike Elder Vova, or even his Father's Attribute Control Skill, the ones that Arthur created weren't meant to be used for an extended period of time. Those were considered secret techniques, and in Sects and large Clans, were some of the most prized possessions out of all of their treasures.

The more mainstream types of Attribute Control Skills, were to be used in a single instant.

Arthur smiled, raising his free arm and resting the spine of his sword on his forearm. The origin essence within him bubbled, as if the gaseous substance had suddenly been exposed to an immense amount of heat.

The emerald coloured leafsword in his hands gained a faintly red tint.

Despite being more than fifty metres away from them, Arthur's voice could be heard as clear as day.

"Wood Attribute Control Skill: Falling Autumn Maple".
