Chapter 168 - Pawns

Arthur watched silently as the Sleipnir floated up towards the starry heavens, before vanishing in a beam of silver coloured light. It almost appeared as though a comet, shooting over the Seven Seas and Seven Continents

It was beautiful....

Arthur let out a small sigh, as he gazed down at the three Fae in front of him. He had already started to refine the leaf storm fae, and stored the other three within Fae Boxes that the Sleipnir had left behind.

The advice that the Sleipnir had given him.... was something that he had already known.

Each of the Thirty Three Sovereign Boundary Physiques were created by the Myriad Races, and based off Laws and the heavenly restrictions within the Thirty Three Heavens.

They were the pinnacle of craftmanship, and everything, including foreign treasures, paled in comparison to a single Sovereign Boundary Physique.

There were places that could help awaken the abilities of Sovereign Boundary Physiques, Fae Grounds who possessed karmic ties with the Physique itself, and not just the possessor of said Physique.

They helped pass down knowledge about the Sovereign Boundary Physiques from one possessor to the next, and assisted with the growth of Fae Masters.

These places weren't just within Human Heaven either, they were scattered all about the Thirty Three Heavens. Which is why it was so hard for some to awaken the abilities and increase their strengths.

Most Sovereign Boundary Physique possessors had to wait until they reached Fae Immortals to cross the boundary between Heavens. By that stage, the effects of these Fae Grounds would be much lesser due to their immense cultivations.

Arthur had known where the Fae Ground that corresponded to the Boundless Forest Yearning was, as well as several other Sovereign Boundary Physiques. He didn't claim to know all of them, especially for those in the top ten in terms of combat strength.

There.... was a rumour about each corresponding Fae Ground, and a certain item that corresponded to a specific Sovereign Boundary Physique but that was just mainly conjecture.

In all of Arthur's research and study, he had never found a sliver of evidence for the existence of such items. Nothing in the , nothing from any previous Era, and nothing from any of the Sovereign Boundary Physique possessors either.

Even though Arthur believed that the rumour had to have started from somewhere, he didn't even know where to start looking.

But perhaps.... with the Boundless Forest Yearning, and the Eternal Samsara Tree, he would have a clue.

At any rate-.

"Today's gains are pretty good. Healing Fae is always in demand, and the leaf storm fae is pretty powerful, especially if I add some things to it. The verdant root fae as well is a nice addition to my trump cards.....".

Arthur wanted to try and create a pseudo Attributed Control Skill, centred around Wood Attributed Fae. He needed to gather some more Fae in order to attempt to do so.

Arthur returned back to his small dilapidated shack and continued with his current cultivation.

He had plenty of things to do and not a lot of time to accomplish them.

Placing the restrictions of heavenly laws on him in order to counter the effects of his exemption had been completed.

The housing plan had started to progress well, as had his spirit plant plan.

He had intergrated himself into the next generation of Fae Masters and could groom them to his liking in the coming days.

His relationship with his family and the people around him was fine, so unlike that time with Elder Stas, he didn't need to worry about somebody following him around again.

Arthur had to complete the task that his Father had asked him to do, and familiarize himself with the new environments and landscapes around Parachenko Village. Doing this, while getting closer to some of the other Fae Masters his own age would allow Arthur to progress his plans quicker, while keeping an eye on anyone who might be a nuisance.

Even after almost two weeks, Randolf hadn't yet awakened from his slumber. Arthur didn't really care about what Randolf did or didn't do, but the longer he slept, the better.

"Speaking of which I might have to place some Consciousness Lotus around Randolf so that he doesn't wake up anytime soon. I could just get one of the new Fae Masters to do it for me as well....".

Evolving the Affection Tree Fae was something that Arthur also had to focus on.

Unlike most other Origin Fae, those special Fae granted by Sovereign Boundary Physiques didn't need some sort of special procedure in order to evolve. They needed time and for the Fae Master to use them a lot.

At higher Ranks they would need special requirements like using it on certain targets, or using it to obtain or trick one thing into doing another.

Arthur wasn't exactly sure on the finer details.

He planned on using it on all of the new Fae Masters for this generation just to quickly progress its evolution to Rank 2. By then, even if the others in his own generation wanted to realise what had happened, it would already be too late.

Arthur just shook his head, and continued to cultivate, refining his vapour ruby origin essence.

All of his origin essence regeneration related fae had been activated as well, and slowly increased his origin essence total back towards its total maximum. Despite the fact that it wasn't anywhere near as fast as when Arthur was Rank 1, it still exceeded Randolf's, Leon's and Dominic's cultivation speed by a huge margin.

The ruby coloured fog within his origin essence sea gradually grew thicker and thicker, despite still possessing its slightly translucent form.

Arthur continued cultivating, all the way till morning before opening his eyes and stretching his back.

By his own estimate, he was around about 2 to 3 months away from reaching liquid ruby origin essence. From there, the distance between his current self and Rank 3 would only continue to grow.

He definitely wouldn't be able to reach Rank 3 within a year, especially since he couldn't use the Origin Essence Liquid Pond again, but that didn't mean that he would stagnate in strength.

Arthur smiled, yet his smile didn't reach his eyes.

"I think its about time that I gather myself some pawns".
