Chapter 154 - Restriction Fae

The produce of spiritual plants didn't increase the talents of those who ingested it, it only increased the likelihood of of awakening a Fae Master talent.

So.... Arthur wasn't completely lying, but definitely not telling the truth.

It would take numerous years in order to figure out whether or not eating spiritual plants and spirit beasts would increase both talent and awakening percentage, so Arthur would have plenty of time to plan his own things while the rest of the Clan were focusing on something else.

He wanted to try and lessen the distance between Elder Vova and him, and shared with him this "method" that he had found.

If he asked for the origins of it, he would just head to his cliffside cave and take a book or two, write some stuff in it before giving it back to Elder Vova.

Otherwise, he would need to come to Arthur for information and any suggestions on how to plan a regime around spiritual plants.

Testing that theory.... would take a few years.

It wasn't so much as planned by Arthur as he just thought about it in passing. If he could focus the attention of the Clan on something else, such as increasing their younger generations potential, then perhaps they wouldn't be as suspicious of Arthur whenever he wanted to sneak around....

He could give any number of bullshit reasons about the thickness of spiritual essence in the atmosphere, or the quality of an individuals physique to the affects of spiritual essence within the body or the type of spiritual plant consumed etc....

The Kovacs Clan were quite young and immature in the scheme of things. They would believe just about anything, especially from one of their own.

Tricking any other Clan or Sect in the world would be difficult, but the Kovacs Clan.... it literally couldn't be easier.

Arthur continued towards the Clan Reserves, with Elder Vova quickly trailing behind him. The elderly man seemed quite spirited, and kept asking Arthur questions and ideas about improving the overall talents and potentials of the Clan.

"I see.... I heard rumours about large Sects and Clans within the Azure Envy Continent and always wondered how they kept producing so many talented individuals every generation. In the Kovacs Clan, we're lucky to get one first-tier talent every three or four years".

Arthur sent a sideward glance to Elder Vova but kept silent and quickly approached the Clan Reserves.

That.... wasn't exactly incorrect, but he wasn't going down the right path.

When the two Fae Masters approached the Clan Reserves, they were greeted by Elder Anatol, who merely smiled at Arthur before gesturing him to go inside.

He admired the young man's performance, as well as his perception even if it did make him a little envious of his innate comprehension.

Elder Anatol glanced at Elder Vova before speaking.

"As agreed, you are allowed to take a single Rank 2 Fae and a single Rank 3 Fae from the Clan Reserves. If you want any Rank 1 Fae from the Clan Reserves please inform me, and I will make a note of you taking them out".

Arthur raised an eyebrow before turning towards Elder Vova who merely smiled before shaking his head.

"It would be a shame to let someone as talented as you to be limited by the number of Fae in your possession. You'll be a Rank 2 Fae Master soon, so Rank 1 Fae won't have as much effect on your overall strength. But if you can create another Attribute Control Skill, even half a decade from now, it will pay off".

The thousand year old demon smiled politely before nodding.

"I guess I'll have to trouble Elder Anatol then".

Even if Arthur didn't want the Rank 1 Fae inside the Clan Reserves, that didn't mean that he couldn't try and evolve them in the near future. He was still considered a novice, in terms of Fae Formula, Fae evolution and Fae variation, but his millennia's worth of knowledge was priceless in the eyes of the Kovacs Clan.

Arthur entered the Clan Reserves and took in a deep breath as his eyes darted all over the Fae Boxes.

In a small Clan like the Kovacs Clan, they had well over 5,000 different Fae stored in here. And those were just the Rank 1 Fae.

In intermediate sized Clans, they would have anywhere upwards of 20,000 difference Rank 1 Fae.

In a large size Clan or Sect, they would at least have to have 50,000 different Rank 1 Fae, more than 10,000 Rank 2 Fae and one or two thousand Rank 3 Fae.

Higher than that, and they were approaching territories that belonged to Fae Immortals, rather than just Fae Masters.

Having a Fae Immortal, automatically made a Sect or Clan and Immortal Sect, or an Immortal Clan and was measured by different standards.

Since Arthur had free reign, and could choose from just about whatever Fae he wanted in the Clan Reserves, he headed towards the Rank 2 area first and decided to grab the Fae that he wanted before moving onto the Rank 3 area.

"Rank 2 Red Crimson Fae..... Rank 2 Blue Azure Fae.... Rank 2 Yellow Essence Fae.... Rank 2 Earth Spear Fae.... Rank 2 Light Maple Tree Fae.... Rank 2 Water Leaf Tree.... Rank 2 Flash Fae.... Rank 2 Aqua Water Sword Fae..... Rank 2 Frozen Ice Sword Fae.... Oh? Rank 2 Crimson Spider Lance Fae?".

One of the participants who ended up in the top ten in the Tournament was awarded with a variation Fae of this particular fae.

It was a pretty versatile Transformation Attribute Fae and created eight large growths on the spine, which eventually protruded outwards and became eight spider legs.

The one that the girl had received was the Golden Poison Lance Fae, which came from a Gold Attributed variation of the venom spider. This Crimson Spider Lance Fae came from a Fire Attributed variation of the venom spider instead.

Lacking in the golden coloured venom, it produced a thick red venom which produced a burning sensation within its targets. Quite useful for Transformation Fae Masters.

Arthur's eyes flicked left, right and centre before landing on a Fae Box which possessed a thin layer of dust on it.

It obviously hadn't been moved, or even cleaned in an extremely long time....

Arthur's eyes lit up and he instantly focused on this particular Fae.

He opened up the box, and gently picked up the white coloured scarab inside, cradling it as if a parent would his child.

This Fae was extremely rare within the Azure Envy Continent, and to his current knowledge, no-one within Human Heaven had the Fae Formula for this specific Fae. It might not seem like much, but for the current Arthur, it was more than just valuable.

"Restriction Fae..... just what I needed".
