Arthur glanced at all the Elders present, noticing that Elder Vova came back as soon as he guided Alina towards Elder Anatol.
Elder Anatol had barely anything to do with the laws and day to day occurrences within Parachenko Village, and usually spent his day researching Fae, or protecting the Clan Reserves. He was Fae Master who used a Longevity Fae in order to increase his lifespan by 500 years.
He admitted he was slightly interested in the Spatial Law that Arthur had comprehended, but other than that, he wanted to stay away from Arthur.
Even he, someone who lived for more than 500 years would feel slightly jealous if he saw a sixteen year old do what took him more than a few centuries to comprehend.
As such, pretty much every Elder other than Elder Anatol was present before Arthur.
They all looked at Arthur intently, some with a slightly envy in their eyes, while others pure admiration.
If any of them could comprehend a Law, their status and combat power within the Clan would skyrocket. Elder Vova chose to become a teacher for the next generation of Kovacs, and Elder Anatol resigned himself to being a protector of the Clan Reserves.
There was no existing Elder, who had comprehended a Law in this generation.
Not even the Clan Leader, a Rank 4 Fae Master, possessed such a thing.
Niklos let out a deep breath, before staring at Arthur's face.
As much as he didn't want to, he had to act like a Clan Leader in front of all these other Elders.
"Arthur. We'd like to know the details of what you comprehended during your battle with Alina. Your Attribute Control Skill as well, is something that we'd like to discuss".
Arthur nodded.
"I am willing to share my knowledge and comprehensions with the Clan. However, despite the fact that I am only a Rank 1 Fae Master, I hope the Clan will not cheat me of my contributions".
Many of the Elders glanced at each other and showed a slightly wry expression on their faces.
If they tried to talk with Arthur after the ten days in the Origin Essence Liquid Pool, he would undoubtably be a Rank 2 Fae Master, and his status and ability would be much higher than his current self.
As a Rank 1 Fae Master, he could defeat Lord Ranked spirit beasts, as well as Randolf, a Rank 2 Fae Master.
Once Arthur become a Rank 2 Fae Master, his strength would soar, and his powers might become strong enough to fight a peak Rank 2 Fae Master.
Once he reached that state, perhaps he might be able to fight a Rank 3 Fae Master....
That was a scary thought.
Elder Zarek and Elder Velika nodded. These two were two of the more influential Elders, and their words possessed more sway than most.
"Don't worry Arthur. Even without your current status, we wouldn't try and cheat you of your contributions. Your Attribute Control Skill alone is worth at least a Rank 3 Fae, while your knowledge and perceptions on Laws is currently.... unfathomable".
Arthur nodded.
The Clan Founder was quite well established in Shadow Laws, while Elder Vova and Elder Anatol had comprehended Wood Laws and Fire Laws.
Spatial Laws were an extremely difficult area of study. Just from comprehending it alone, the power of Arthur's Attribute Control Skill exploded and its range increased dramatically.
Used in conjunction with each other, Arthur could attack Fae Masters from anywhere without them knowing. It's overall strength didn't quite match that of either the "Searing Heavenly Flame", or the "Untainted Flower Petals", but the number of Fae, and the simplicity of the Attribute Control Skill was extremely good.
Arthur suppressed a smile before glancing at all the Elders.
"If it's not too much trouble, I would like to propose something to the Clan Leaders and the various Elders present here today".
Niklos nodded and gestured for Arthur to continue.
Arthur merely smiled politely, glancing at all the Elders, whose name all ended with "Kovacs".
"The current state of the Clan is not very good. Our Fae Master population has decreased dramatically and despite the huge number of Fae, Fae materials, spiritual medicines and rare treasures that have formed, and will continue to form, the current Clan is facing a.... unfavourable juncture.
"The fact that we are allowing those who aren't of Kovacs blood, in such a large quantity into the Clan will create some.... differences between our future descendents. After a few more generations, something like this won't matter anymore, but for the time being, there will exist some resentment between the "old" Kovacs populations and the "new" Kovacs populations".
"Differences in talent and martial prowess aside, the Kovacs Clan isn't a Sect, it is a Clan, and does focus on its blood descended population more than anything else. Changing a persons name to Kovacs won't change their heritage".
Some of the Elders nodded, at least, some of the more conservative Elders nodded.
They were originally against bringing in such a large mortal population into the Clan, in addition to giving them the name "Kovacs" as well as letting them undergo the talent awakening ceremony.
If some of them were extremely talented, which, the chances of were low, "but", and only "but", if this did really happen, a divide might be formed between those "new" Kovacs and "old Kovacs".
None of these mortal families understood the power structure within the Clan, and injecting fresh blood into the Clan was necessary but still quite dangerous.
Arthur might be overexaggerating, but many were waiting to see what he was going on about focusing on such a negative aspect.
"As such, a bridge, or perhaps a olive branch should be extended out, al least, under the guise of new policy or rules".
Arthur threw his hook over, letting it gently float on the waters surface.
"If I could be so bold, I would like to help teach the next few generations of Kovacs. In regards to their martial arts, their usage of Fae, explaining Fae and teaching them how to fight and kill essentially. I wouldn't have the Rank or authority of an Elder, but would would have the job of one".
Arthur's hook swayed amidst the faint waves. There wasn't anything yet, but he could see the shadows rising up from the waters depths.
"Everyone has just seen my power and what I'm capable of. Even if they don't currently understand the differences between Attribute Control Skills and using martial arts to compliment Fae, they soon will as soon as they start their training and Lectures.
"If the notion of "learning under a Fae Master who can beat someone a higher cultivation realm then their own" wasn't intriguing enough to them, then perhaps their parents or guardians be pleased with the idea themselves.
"To many of the mortal families, having a child become a Fae Master is a great way to change their fortunes, but only if they become successful. With me teaching them, or at least assisting in the teaching process, not only can I help them, and guide the next generation of Kovacs, but I am close enough in age to give them all a.... gentle push in the right direction".
Elder Sagan and Elder Velika raised an eyebrow, before glancing at Niklos a slight glint in their eyes.
'This son of yours.... isn't so shallow is he Niklos?'.
Arthur could see some of the Elders glance at each other before turning towards Elder Vova and the Clan Leader.
Even if they were for Arthur's arrangement, it was really up to the Clan Leader, and the Lecture Hall Head in order to accept Arthur's proposal.
It sounded pretty sound, and it didn't seem like giving Arthur a place in the Lecture Hall would negatively impact the Clan in any sort of way. In fact, it sounded more like Arthur wanted to give up some benefits in order to further the Clan more....
They knew that Arthur was the type of person who would put the Clan before themselves.... but-.
Niklos and Elder Vova shared a glance before the latter nodded.
Niklos let out a deep breath before turning to face Arthur and nodded gently.
"I'll leave it up to Elder Vova to decide exactly what you do, but, so long as you don't fall behind, or mistreat your juniors in anyway, I'll agree to your proposal".
Arthur smiled politely, watching as a large fish bit down on his bait, immediately getting pulled out of the water and falling into his hands.
He didn't know what had fallen into his hands, the future of the Kovacs Clan, or the trust of Elder Vova and the Clan Leader.
He gave everyone present a deep bow, his longish hair hiding a fake smile.
"I promise you all, you won't regret it".
