Chapter 130 - Evolution? Variation?

Arthur had already begun preparing for the upcoming events in the near future.

First there was the second new Fae Master Tournament, which Arthur needed to win. His current cultivation speed, in conjunction with the effects of the Origin Essence Liquid would dramatically increase his cultivation speed.

He might even be able to increase his cultivation back to the peak of Rank 1, allowing him to reach Rank 2 Fae Master within the next few weeks after that.

He planned on reaching at least the peak of Rank 3, perhaps even Rank 4 by the time he left Parachenko Village. Only Rank 3 Fae Masters were qualified to walk throughout the Seven Continents without a guard, and Rank 3 Fae Masters could defend themselves against rouge bandits or thieves if they need be.

Rank 2 and below, were frankly, just too weak.

Of course, those with a Sovereign Boundary Physique, were the exception. However, perhaps only the top-tier combat ability related Sovereign Boundary Physiques could fight against a Rank higher without using a wide variety of different Fae.

The second thing Arthur had to plan for was the offering he was planning on giving to the Sleipnir in the coming days. The talent awakening ceremony would happen just a few hours before, so he had to make sure he sowed a few seeds with some of the new talented members of the Kovacs Clan.

The Sleipnir offering and the new Fae Masters were both equally important.

Last time Arthur received a single moonsword fae with just a small gourd of spirit water.

This time, he had the flesh, blood and bones of numerous Baron Ranked spirit beasts, several Rank 2 Fae, multiple different types of spirit water, Fae materials and precious spiritual medicines.

This type of offering was usually only given to the Sleipnir by small Clans, and they would usually receive quite the blessing in return.

The Sleipnir took gratitude into account.

It may just be a spirit beast, however, its intelligence far exceeded that of even a Beast King.

It was a spirit beast on the same level as Fae Immortals after all.

Arthur felt the wind billow slightly, causing his long, thick wolf, fur jacket to flutter slightly as his faint green coloured hair shone underneath the bright blue sky.

He had just finished collecting the flesh and bones from the last spirit beast he could find. Arthur had bought numerous Drinking Fae and some small Storage Fae, in order to take in the flesh and bones and kept them in Fae Boxes, while hiding them close to the cliffside.

It would be a hassle to hide all of them in his house, and then have to move them back to the cliffside, so Arthur decided to keep everything there for the time being.

A faint flutter entered Arthur's ears, before a small bird, landed on his shoulder.

It started to ruffle around Arthur's hair, straightening it out before flying away back to its nest.

Arthur smiled faintly as the image of a green petaled, pink vined tree flickered behind him.

The Affection Tree Fae also needed to be upgraded.

If he could let it reach Rank 2, Arthur would be able to influence Rank 1 Fae Masters, and Knight Ranked spirit beasts!

Not to mention, it would have a slight effect on the weaker-minded Rank 2 Fae Masters, or the emotionally unstable.

The process for such a thing was.... different from the evolution of other Fae.

Evolution, or even varied evolution for Fae needed Fae materials, or even some sort of precious treasures mixed into the Fae in a specific order, and with an exact amount.

For the Secondary Origin Fae of the Sovereign Boundary Physiques, a Fae Master only needed to use it, or use it in a particular way before it naturally evolved to the next stage.

It wasn't.... common for Secondary Origin Fae to become variation Fae. In fact, there was very little records about such things, even throughout the entire Thirty Three Heavens.

Some Fae Masters tried to induce a forceful evolution without any success.

However, some Fae Masters who possessed a Sovereign Boundary Physique did possess variation Secondary Origin Fae.

Arthur could count the number of individuals he knew, throughout every single recorded Era, on a single hand.

"In the previous Era, a wielder of the Variable Thought Order should've had their Rank 1 Thought Sword Fae evolve into the Rank 2 Twin Thought Sword Fae. However, it varied, and evolved into a completely new Fae.

"Rank 2 Demon Sword Thought Fae".

Instead of being able to create two thought swords, this demon sword thought fae could create a sword created out of blackened, demonic thoughts. It's killing power was dramatically increased, but the demonic thoughts caused the Fae Master to walk down the demonic path....

Arthur too.... walked the demonic path.

The change in this Fae Masters belief's apparently only came after the change in his Secondary Origin Fae, but the tale was so old, that some details could've been removed or omitted.

Arthur was currently exempt from the heavenly laws which normally restricted the formation of certain Fae. Since he now also possessed the Boundless Forest Yearning, he couldn't help but think about what the effect such a thing would have on his Affection Tree Fae.

Would it continue down its natural path?

Or follow Arthur down the path of the demon?

The sixteen year old let out a small sigh before shaking his head.

There was nothing he could do about that right now. He didn't even know where to start looking, let alone where to go to fix such a thing.

For the time being, all he could focus on was his present situation.

His dark green coloured hair returned to its black state, and Arthur leapt down off the large tree branch, collecting his Drinking Fae and Storage Fae before leaving without even making a sound.

Tomorrow.... was the second new Fae Master Tournament.

A few of Arthur's "classmates" had been killed in the previous beast tides, but an even larger number had been forged in the fires of real battle. They might have only experienced it once, but the change in their notions of attacking and killing had been changed forever.

They needed to refine their techniques, and practice walking the line between battle and war.

Most of them would need years in order to reach such a level, but those descendents of Elders had their predecessors to help them.

Leon and Dominic had both offered to help Arthur train, or get into the motion of fighting but Arthur just shook his head and smiled.

He rolled his eyes at his brothers, and gave them both a small wink before leaving.

"If I needed to "train" in order to defeat a bunch of fifteen to sixteen year olds, then I would be wasting this chance that I have been given".

They were slightly confused at Arthur's wording, but believed it to be something related to the diary in his possession.

Both of them knew.... that the knowledge within Arthur's could probably start a war. And they intended to keep such a thing a secret, at least until the point where they could fight anything that came their way.
