Chapter 127 - Consciousness Development Fae

Arthur leapt down from the tall branches, landing softly on the roots below before slowly approaching the the corpse of the Wood Leaf Bear.

There were numerous corpses of spirit beasts that had been left out around the areas of Parachenko Village, which couldn't currently be worked on, due to the already large amount of spirit beast corpses.

The town had been littered with the bodies of venom spiders, as well as fellow humans. Buildings and core structures had crumbled under the intense wind and rain, and the very landscape of Parachenko Village had changed, needing an extraordinarily large amount of manpower in order to fix.

Those corpses or spirit beasts that had escaped from Parachenko Village had been hunted down, before being marked for latter retrieval. Most of them would end up going to waste, which, for Arthur, was exactly what he wanted.

Most of the Baron Ranked spirit beasts had at least a few things on them that would be beneficial to any Fae Master. Their fur and bones were precious Fae materials, not to mention their blood and organs.

If they had Fae, then that would be a bonus.

While Arthur was watching the battle from afar, he wasn't just sipping wine and chuckling every time someone died, but, observing those spirit beasts who possessed Fae.

Most of the Fae were relatively useless to the current Arthur, like crimson fae, or azure fae, but occasionally, he would spot something that would catch his interest.

Arthur activated his moonsword fae, before slashing out multiple times, eventually cutting through the hide of the Wood Leaf Bear corpse, and leaking out a large amount of blood.

Arthur brought more than a dozen large ladybugs, placing them around the wound, letting them absorb all the blood that spilled out.

These ladybugs were all Rank 1 and Rank 2 Drinking Fae. They could drink up a liquid substance, and when needed, they could be gently squished, letting out all the liquid they had drunk up.

They were extremely common, even amongst the other Thirty Three Heavens.

While Arthur was letting those Fae drink up, the reincarnate turned his attention towards the faint movement beside the corpse.

His eyes lit up and he quickly reached out towards the group of Fae, snatching up all of them before gently nodding his head.

"Rank 2 Spirit Vine Fae.... Rank 2 Wood Shield Fae.... Oh? Even a Rank 2 Leaf Mirror Fae? Not too bad".

Arthur hadn't seen this particular Wood Leaf Bear use the Leaf Mirror Fae, although considering that it died to Elder Vova, it probably hadn't had the chance to use it before having its heart sliced in two.

There were a few other Fae, and Arthur tried his best to store as many as he could before using up more than a third of his origin essence.

The remaining Rank 1 Fae, Arthur just released, not carrying the Fae Boxes needed to contain them all.

Arthur let out a deep breath before turning his focus towards a southernly direction, activating wind stalker fae and heading there as fast as he could.

The drinking fae would need some time before they were all become full, and collecting the bones and fur would need to be done another day.

As time passed, and the sun rose and slowly fell over the horizon, Arthur let out a deep breath of air, returning to Parachenko Village.

His expression was still cold, yet, there was a faint glint in his eyes that wasn't there before.

Not a confidence.... but perhaps a sort of.... pride?

Over the entire day, he had scouted half a dozen different corpses belonging to Baron Ranked spirit beasts. All of them possessed Fae, and one of them even had started to form Fae, due to the mixture of spirit water, blood and spiritual essence.

Arthur's presence had undoubtably changed the outcome of the Fae, but the gains that he had brought back today exceeded his initial expectations.

Other than the Wood Leaf Bear that he had scavenged from first, Arthur had also visited the corpses of two Baron Ranked Venom Spiders, as well as a Four-Winged Storm Hawk, a Lava Essence Fox and a Baron Ranked Lotus Devouring Frog.

He had obtained more than two dozen different Rank 2 Fae, in addition to a single Rank 3 Fae.

He hadn't contracted most of them, and merely left them in their Fae Boxes, placing them in the small underground space he had built underneath the foundations of his house.

This was his own personal wealth, and Arthur would only give something up, in exchange for greater benefits.

Especially since he had found "that" of all things!

In the Thirty Three Heavens, there existed numerous Fae. Countless Fae. Infinite Fae.

There were more Fae than any living Race, and collectively, there were more Fae than any other lifeform within the Thirty Three Heavens.

There were Fire Attributed Fae, and Water Attributed Fae, which took in the elemental essence of the heavens and the earth.

There were Blacksmithing Fae and Alchemy Fae, which allowed those to understand the secrets of blacksmithing and alchemy if they could discern their Truths.

There were also Transformation Attributed Fae, which allowed one Race to take on the abilities and attributes of another Race.

But then, there were those origin essence related Fae, like the Wood Essence Fae, which could increase origin essence regeneration or Vein Limit Fae, which could do the same.

Multiple Fae, all from different Attributes could do the same thing. But why?

This was one of the Thirteen Great Fae Mysteries, and was also related to the existence of variation Fae.

Those Fae relating to the origin essence sea were special, in that they hadn't been fully explored, despite having an extremely long history.

The main reason being, was that they were extremely rare.

Those "Sea" Fae, like the Body Sea or the Mind Sea were the easiest to come by in seven hundred years. It allowed Fae Masters to fight longer, and harder since they could store origin essence within them like a battery. However, in Arthur's current time, they hadn't been invented yet.

Those other Fae, like the bloodseeker leaf fae or the wood essence fae were the most common in the current time. Although, they were hard to find in the wild, without knowing where to look.

Those Fae that could increase Talent, or even the size of origin essence seas were even more rare in the eyes of Fae Masters.

There were even Fae that could directly increase a Fae Masters cultivation, but they were never given away freely, if it all for that matter.

The rarest, or perhaps the most legendary origin essence sea related Fae would undoubtably be the-.

"Twin Sea Fae.....".

It was a one-time use Fae, just like the vein limit Fae, but its effects were far more powerful than just a mere vein limit fae.

It allowed a Fae Master to possess another origin essence sea. Essentially allowing a Fae Master to have a much deeper, and much more powerful cultivation.

Instead of possessing a 300% origin essence sea.... they could possess a 600% origin essence sea!

The amount of origin essence they could use, would exceed all others in the same Rank, perhaps even a Rank higher!

Of course.... there were some drawbacks.

The first being that the origin essence regeneration rate would remain the same. Meaning that cultivation speed would remain the same, unless one had other Fae to supplement this problem.

The second problem was that the size of the second origin essence sea was dependent on the size of the first, and their Rank of the Twin Sea Fae.

Essentially, a Rank 5 Twin Sea Fae could completely mirror an origin essence sea Fae perfectly. In Arthur's case, his origin essence sea would increase from 300%, or 600%.

A Rank 4 Twin Sea Fae could mimic 4/5 of the total amount. Increasing his capacity from 300% to 540%.

A Rank 3 Twin Sea Fae could mimic 3/5 of the total amount. Increasing his capacity from 300% to 480%.

A Rank 2 Twin Sea Fae could mimic 2/5 of the total amount. Increasing his capacity from 300% to 420%.

And a Rank 1 Twin Sea Fae could only mimic 1/5 of the total amount. Increasing his capacity from 300% to only 360%.

And if they didn't have a top-tier talent like Arthur, then that increase would be even less.

Arthur showed a bitter expression.

Of course, Arthur neither had the Twin Sea Fae, or the Fae Formula for the Twin Sea Fae, or even an idea of how to obtain such a thing.

There were perhaps.... only two, no, three places in Human Heaven that might be able to help him, and about a dozen places throughout the entire Thirty Three Heavens.

He might not have the Twin Sea Fae, but he did have the next best thing.

Arthur glanced down at the Fae Box at the bottom of the river, before letting out a deep breath and returning back to his small makeshift home.

Unlike the Bone Development Fae which was located in the Clan Reserves, Arthur had something equally as interesting.

The Rank 3 Bone Expansion Fae could increase the size of a single Body Origin Essence Sea by 60%.

However, this Consciousness Development Fae could increase the size of a single Mind Origin Essence Sea by 60%!
