Chapter 114 - Leon and Dominic

As the Elders battled the oncoming swarms of beasts and monsters, Dominic and Leon gathered the Fae Masters that were willing to fight and brought them towards the entrance to the Village.

Many sections of land had become eroded due to the wind and rain, and many more sections had become rubble under it was well. The once small, numerous streams that ran through Parachenko Village had become surging torrents capable of knocking a man out if they got dragged within.

Out of the remaining thousand or so Fae Masters that were left in Parachenko Village, only 300 were willing to fight.

Many that hadn't yet died were still injured, and an even greater number of Fae Masters wished to run away after hearing the cries of the Impure Rain Crab.

Facing one Beast King.... was more than enough to form mental demons within them. Seeing their friends, family, loved ones and complete strangers get killed in droves right in front of them....

Most of these individuals, wouldn't ever progress their cultivation, stagnating as a result of their own ineptitudes.

Those that did want to fight. Those who wanted to push their anger, hatred and rage outwards towards the world....

Some of these people, had suddenly begun to understand the notion of "strength" as well as its necessity in the world.

Leon and Dominic turned slightly pale as the gazed out towards what once used to be the main street of Parachenko Village.

It had now turned into a swirling whirlpool, where all the various streams and rivers of Parachenko Village gathered. Spinning and turning, dirt, blood, plants and flesh into a strange unpleasant mixture of red and brown.

Numerous Fae materials had been mixed in as well.

Even though the owners of those shops would've removed most of their stock and moved it into the Clan Reserves, there would still definitely be those smaller families who grew Fae materials to supplement their own Fae.

Mixing them all together in this make shift blender.... was something that frightened many.

Who knows just what would be created from such a thing?

Who even knows if something could be created from such a thing?

In his previous life, nothing out of the ordinary had been born through this event. But Arthur's presence ignored heavenly laws, and allowed the area around him to form Fae that normally couldn't exist, or be formed in a particular region.

The current Arthur had to be extremely careful regarding what Fae materials would collide in such a circumstance. If something.... interesting had been born, then he would need to be the first to find out.

Dominic narrowed his eyes before noticing the strange shadows underneath the waters surface.

The approaching shadows, which were swimming randomly, and without aim suddenly dashed towards the location where Dominic and Leon were standing, causing the future Clan Leader to turn around and wave everyone off.

"Quickly! Scatter!".

Every single one of these Fae Masters obeyed his order and leaped back, their eyes widening as they noticed the shadow coming straight towards them.

The massive figure leapt up out of the water, focusing its large, bulbous eyes towards the Fae Masters before spitting out a sharp blade of water.

The Rank 2 Fae Master whom it targeted, didn't even get to blink as his head was separated from its body.

Dominic and Leon didn't even share a glance as the two brothers darted to either side of this massive big-eyed lizard, before both of them summoned their respective Fae.

Dominic, being a disciple of Elder Vova, specialized in Wood Attributed Fae.

While Leon, being a unofficial disciple of his mother and grandfather, specialized in Water Attributed Fae.

They didn't plan for it to be this way, but Leon's abilities could compliment Dominic to a certain degree.

Leon opened his mouth and shot out a unrelenting torrent of bright blue coloured water. The amount of spiritual essence contained within it was much higher than what Arthur's Water Leaf Tree was capable of.

Dominic on the other hand, activated several fae in conjunction with each other.

Aqua absorption fae.... Vine growth fae.... needle fae.... Expansion fae.... Hardening Fae... Connection Fae... Woodpecker Fae....

A long, almost thirty metre vine, with the same thickness as a barrel of wine was formed in the sky above them. It wiggled strangely, as hundreds, if not thousands of thin needles, all of which were more than ten inches in length grew around the vine.

It was similar in appearance to the vine that Elder Vova could create, but the needles were Dominic's own personal touch.

Under his command, the massive needled vine sprung into action and coiled itself around the massive lizard. It wrapped around its neck, its arms, its legs and even its tail, restricting its movements while squeezing deeper and deeper.

Within just a few seconds the entire body of this Aqua Eyes Lizard was covered in blood, and its two massive eyes, which together were capable of 360 degree sight, had exploded under the pressure from Dominic's vine.

Never once did Leon stop shooting out water from his mouth, and never once did the vine cease its absorption of said spirit water.

It didn't just grow in size, but also in strength as a result of this absorption.

After just a minute, the vine unwrapped itself from the Aqua Eyes Lizard, dropping its completely wrecked body back into to whirlpool that it jumped out of.

Numerous other shadows, that swam beneath the waters surface gathered around where the corpse of the Aqua Eyes Lizard died, causing a frenzy of water and blood to shoot up into the air.

Some of the other Fae Masters, who specialized in wide-scale attacks activated their Fae and aimed them at the point where all the spirit beasts gathered.

Shards of ice. Pillars of earth and stone. Gale force winds capable of slicing open scale and flesh. Even tiny metal fragments, accelerated by those strong winds gained enough power to pierce straight through bone and muscle, killing more than a dozen spirit beasts in a single strike.

Even though their attacks, unlike Dominic and Leon, weren't coordinated, the vast majority of those Fire Attributed, or Lava Attributed and Light Attributed Fae Masters weren't that useful amidst the heavy rain and wind.

Elder Anatol was the exception to this, seeing as though his Fire Attribute Control Skill exceeds the strength of this wind and rain, allowing him to create a massive beam of fire, capable of igniting water and immense steam explosions.

Dominic and Leon had practiced this technique ever since their Father and Elder Vova told them about the oncoming beast tide.

They knew together, they would have a greater chance of killing as many spirit beasts as possible, meaning that together they could save the lives of more Clansmen, and mortals who couldn't protect themselves.

Their sister had been held back by their Father and Mother, and was assigned to protect their younger twin siblings, Ivan and Ivanka.

Chensa was a Rank 2 Fae Master, one that like their Father utilised Transformation Attributed Fae in order to battle. Together with her partner, they would have the ability to kill a weaker Baron Ranked spirit beast.

Something like the Surging Poison Serpent would be out of the question, but something like the Lava Essence Fox would be within their combat abilities.

Arthur on the other hand....

Both Leon and Dominic knew what their brother was like.

He was cold, distant and even aloof to those classmates of his. He "taught" them martial arts, at a price and was completely ruthless during combat, or any sort of sparring practice.

Whenever they saw him fighting, they knew that his moves were too refined. Too perfect for someone who had just been a Fae Master for less than an entire year.

Even if he practiced for years beforehand, which he didn't, Arthur still wouldn't be able to reach such a level of attainment in martial arts or his knowledge of Fae.

Leon had.... mentioned to Dominic what they had talked about when Arthur gave him the Fae Formula for the Serene Mirror Fae.

Despite the fact that Leon had.... skimmed on the details of what Arthur had said, the fact that he shared those secrets with him caused Leon to sigh and shake his head.

'Why did I even doubt him?', he thought.

Arthur may have been acting differently, and he may seem colder than what he usually was but-.

He was still their brother. He would be, and always would be, until the end of time.

He was willing to stay behind and defend the Village, and from what they had heard, saved a young girl, and a group of his classmates who had run out of origin essence.

Something like that, wasn't done by a person who hates his family.

It was done by a person who loves them.

Leon gritted his teeth as his eyes turned slightly red.

Activating another Fae, the Serene Mirror Fae, the amount of spirit water that was released from his body doubled in quantity, causing the massive needled vine to grow exponentially!

The Serene Mirror Fae's ability wasn't defensive in nature, but supportive!

It was a Rank 2 Water Attributed Fae that could mirror the abilities of another Water Attributed Fae of the same Rank or lower! It was essentially the same as having two of the same Fae! And the best part was, was that the origin essence expenditure was only double the original cost!

It may seem like a lot, but to Leon, who had a 249% origin essence sea, such a thing was completely fine!

Dominic grinned as he noticed his needled vine grow to even large proportions.

Commanding the nearly thirty metre long vine, it rose high up into the air before diving straight down underneath the waters surface.

Blood bloomed on the waters surface, like lotuses in the early spring. They beauty was only short lasting though, as they were washed away, blood, flesh and all down the fast moving stream....
