Chapter 81 - Immigrants

Arthur turned his gaze down towards the huge back of origin essence stones, sighing slightly before closing it up, hiding it underneath a large barrel in his room.

This was only one portion of his collective wealth, which had exponentially exploded after he gave Robert the two Fae Formula.

Shadowslice Fae and Umbral Fae were both offensive fae, so their usages and their combat effectiveness greatly contributed to a Fae Masters overall strength.

Unlike the hidden shadow fae which only allowed a Fae Master to hide in shadows, these two Fae could directly enhance their killing abilities.

And since they were all Shadow Attributed Fae, using them in tandem together boosted their collective strength.

Selling the shadowslice fae at 30 origin essence stones and the umbral fae at 28 origin essence stones meant that Arthur would get roughly 8 or 9 origin essence stones per sale.

In the few weeks that Arthur waited for Robert to mass produce them and increase his stockpile, Arthur didn't earn anything, except for the few deals that Robert made selling hidden shadow fae.

However, once Robert announced these two new fae, Arthur's wallet exploded open, and an enormous influx of origin essence stones suddenly fell into his lap.

With such a wealth, Arthur didn't need to worry about feeding all of his new fae, especially his crocodile transformation fae as well as his halberd fae and metal arms fae.

The only other purpose Arthur could use for these origin essence stones was to speed up his cultivation. Yet, by doing so, a Fae Master would accumulate impurities within their origin essence sea, gradually diluting it, tainting it and decreasing its potency.

Alina, Borik and Ratimir all rejected using origin essence stones to cultivate, as was Randolf and Andrea.

It was better to take a little bit longer to reach the next cultivation realm, and stabilize their foundations instead of harming themselves in the long run.

Dominic and Niklos had also warned Arthur to this in his previous life, but he ignored them in order to try and catch up to Randolf.

With both the vein limit fae and the bloodseeker leaf fae, Arthur didn't need to use origin essence stones to cultivate. It was better to keep them for a rainy day, where travelling merchants arrived in the Village, or in case of an emergency and Arthur needed to completely abandon Parachenko Village.

He had at least 300 origin essence stones, and that number would only keep rising so long as Robert kept creating shadowslice fae and umbral fae.

Moving his attention back towards his room, Arthur nodded slightly before sprinkling a large amount of black coloured powder all over it, which immediately vanished the moment it touched the ground.

Arthur didn't even look back as he went up the stairs and headed towards the main gate.

The streets of Parachenko Village seemed much busier than usual, as large numbers of carts, pulled by horses and bulls walked through the main street.

Due to the rising water levels in Winter Rain Mountain, it was obvious that some regions had become flooded, and mortal Villages had been destroyed in the process. Those mortals, most of whom had lost their homes and their crops, had decided to come to the larger Villages, ruled over by Fae Master Clans in order to seek safe haven.

There were a couple of stray Fae Masters who had made these small Villages their homes, the vast majority of which were only Rank 1.

They had come into contact with Hatred Fae, and accidentally awakened their origin essence sea. Due to their lack of available teachers and Fae, they just cultivated their origin fae, usually taking much longer to cultivate in comparison to other Fae Masters.

Usually they were fourth-tier talents, but there were one or two third-tier talents among them.

The Fae Masters from Parachenko Village needed to be much more on guard due to the influx of these foreign Fae Masters.

They just had a problem regarding spies, and traitor Elders, so the upper echelons of Parachenko Village had introduced much more stricter rules in regards to these new immigrants.

Arthur gave a slight nod to one of the guards letting people into the Village, who gave Arthur a small bow in return.

There were quite a number of people, aging from the elderly all the way towards new-borns lining up to enter the Village, and quite a number of them looked towards Arthur strangely.

Especially some of those teens. Why would this Rank 2 Fae Master pay respects to such a young individual?

This young man seemed quite scholarly. Unlike the vast majority of Kovacs Clan members, he didn't possess their huge, burly physique, and was much thinner, yet still retaining their innate height.

Arthur didn't appear rugged, or rough which was the standard of many Kovacs men. His skin was smooth, and his silky black hair and cold black eyes seemed to emanate a distant, almost lonely feeling within them.

Some of the young women in line blushed when they saw Arthur, dressed up in his thick, wolf fur jacket. It possessed a hood, but the bright blue sky seemed more welcoming today, and thus Arthur didn't wear it.

All of these immigrants went wide eyed when their saw a faint green glow appear around Arthur's feet, and then watched his figure flicker before vanishing right in front of them.

There wasn't even a trace of his footsteps where he was standing. Some of the more ignorant mortals thought he might be a ghost, or some sort of phantom.

An elderly man, leading a large group of young men and women sighed before shaking his head.

"The depths of the Kovacs Clan are as unfathomable as ever!", he muttered.

One of the young men standing beside this elderly man, turned towards his grandfather with a questioning look on his face.

"Grandfather? What do you mean? That young man was obviously just a Rank 1 Fae Master with a wind stalker fae? Little Green over here has one as her Origin Fae".

The elderly man sighed as he glanced at all of his grandchildren.

He was a Rank 2 Fae Master, a top quality third-tier talent, who lorded over an entire mortal village.

His children weren't blessed with the talents to become Fae Masters, but a whooping seven of his grandchildren all awakened their talents as Fae Masters!

All of them were third-tier talents, and hadn't yet experienced the wide world that existed outside of Winter Rain Mountain.

This elderly man shook his head.

"That young man has probably only just awakened his origin essence sea within the past 1 or 2 years. He is even younger than Little Violet who is just 18 years old. And yet, I can tell that he is almost at hadron origin essence. His origin essence has almost reached a point where it can be burned, and used to enhance Fae abilities..... How monstrous....".

The young man, who was 25 years old went wide eyed, as did all of his half-siblings.

He was 25 years old this year and had only just reached the peak of Rank 1. He didn't use any origin essence stones to cultivate, so his foundations were extremely solid.

Yet, due to a lack of resources and insufficient knowledge, his capabilities were extremely limited as a Fae Master.

He thought that he was fairly talented within his generation, but seeing this young man, probably not even sixteen, he felt the immensity of the heavens and the earth.

Little Red's shoulders slumped slightly as his grandfather sighed.

He patted his oldest grandchild's shoulder.

"Don't feel too bad Little Red. He is probably one of the more powerful geniuses within the Kovacs Clan. Most of their younger generation has similar talents to your own. Because of their resources, they can progress quicker, and more safely than you and the others. So long as you can gain the favour of some of the Fae Masters, you might even be able to marry into the Clan, or change the name of your children to Kovacs and join the Clan!".

All seven of this elderly man's eyes shone as the notion of joining the Kovacs Clan came to mind.

Especially some of the girls.

If they could gain the attention of the young master that they had just seen before, wouldn't their rise in the Kovacs Clan be guaranteed?

Their imaginations ran wild, as they slowly moved up the line.
