Leaving his basement home, Arthur made his way towards the Clan Leaders residence.
This was something he could only discuss with his Father safely, and perhaps his grandfather if he wasn't so busy.
This "deal" messed with the future of the Kovacs Clan. Since his Father was the Leader of the Clan, not only was the best person to deal with this sort of thing, but also someone who wouldn't try and cheat him, or blackmail him like Elder Stas tried to do.
Speaking of Elder Stas....
"No-one has managed to find where I left his body yet, which I suppose is a good thing since he's been labelled a traitor and a thief after all....".
There weren't many investigative or tracking type fae in this part of the world, and other than the wolf nose fae and the fake wood fae that Elder Stas borrowed, there Clan didn't have much left.
His family had been punished as a result of his betrayal, even though he was dead, someone still had to pay the price.
Not even once did Arthur look back and feel any sort of guilt or sadness about killing Elder Stas.
He had gotten in his way after all, it was only natural that such an obstacle had to be gotten rid of.
Arthur gave a small nod to the guards at the front of the Clan Leaders residence who nodded back towards Arthur before letting him pass.
Entering the residence itself Arthur quickly moved towards his Father's study, knocking loudly this time before waiting for a response.
"Come in".
Due to the rapid response, Arthur smiled slightly before opening the door, closing it behind him before noticing the other figure in the room.
His gaze landed on Dominic's muscly physique before smiling slightly and nodding.
Having the both of them here was actually better. Dominic was the future Clan Leader, so it was best to concern him with the future of the Village.
Niklos smiled as he noticed Arthur come into the room.
Ever since he moved out, he came back at odd dates. Sometimes staying over a week, while other times only returning for meals once a week.
He couldn't help but sigh, and think about how quickly his third-born son had grown. He had three older siblings to look up to, Niklos supposed it was natural that he wanted to become more independent, seeing how his siblings were currently living.
Dominic also smiled before giving his Father a nod and walking towards the door.
Before Dominic could even get past Arthur, he opened his mouth.
"I think it's better if you stay Dominic. As the future Leader of the Kovacs Clan, you should hear this".
Dominic raised an eyebrow and sent a glance back towards their Father.
Niklos' brows furrowed before gesturing for Dominic to stay.
Arthur nodded before letting out a sigh and showing a slightly hesitant expression.
He paused, biting his lower lip before taking out a blue leaved tree fae and placing it down on the floor.
Arthur took in a deep breath.
"Both of you are probably wondering what this fae is right now".
Dominic nodded, but Niklos neither moved, nor showed a change in his expressions.
He was the experienced veteran leader of a Clan, his poker face had long since developed itself.
"I'm not going to lie to either of you, but I found this Fae outside the Clan after I.... look a little trip to the Falling Snow Famous River".
Both his older brother and his father's expression changed, becoming more stern and slightly angered.
"You idiot! Why would you go so far out! What would've happened if you had gotten attacked, or gotten ambushed by-".
"Dominic.... let your brother finish first".
Niklos raised his hand and instantly caused his first born son to stop speaking.
The next head of the Kovacs Clan sighed a little before crossing his arms and looking at Arthur with a slightly angered look on his face.
Arthur showed a slightly wry expression.
"I know I shouldn't of, but if I didn't I wouldn't of found this fae. Now, at first I didn't know what the Fae was, or what it did, but there was a description of this fae in my diary, along with its ability".
"There was no name, but it did state that the fae was.... heaven defying".
Arthur gulped.
Both of his family members seemed slightly less angered, and a fraction more interested.
Arthur made sure to appear slightly.... fearful while peering towards the small tree on the floor. It wasn't for his sake to appear fearful, but for the two people in front of him, it was necessary.
"This fae, despite it being only Rank 1, will turn a certain area around it into a bountiful area. Increasing the chances of fae forming and Fae materials growing. In other words, it creates an artificial spiritual essence vein wherever the Fae Master plants it".
Instantly all the tension in the room vanished, as Dominic felt his knees go weak slightly, causing him to lean on his father's desk. The young Clan Leader turned to look at his father's expression, but saw nothing but a strange mixture of fear, and hope all over his face.
Dominic only felt a breeze as his father's figure flashed from his sitting position to directly in front of Arthur.
He cradled the small blue leaved tree in his hands, looking at it as if it was some sort of heavenly treasure.
Niklos held the tree in one hand, placing the other hand on Arthur's shoulder as he pulled his third born son into his embrace!
His eyes shining. The light of limitless possibilities could be seen within his gaze!
"Our Kovacs Clan is destined for greatness! Come here Dominic! With this, you, Leon and Arthur will lead out Clan into a new generation!".
The happiness, the sheer jubilation that coursed throughout the entirety of Niklos' body seemed to completely forget everything else in the world.
The destructive powers of the rapidly growing floods outside the Clan.... the shortage of food and the lacking of Fire Attributed Fae.... even the worry about his children after his passing completely vanished as he saw this fae!
With this, his future, his legacy would be assured!
Arthur turned his head towards Dominic, who sighed before giving Arthur a small smile.
Arthur didn't feel anything in his heart, but Dominic, the next patriarch of the Kovacs Clan seemed to feel something.... "pure" form within his mind.
His brother was contributing to his future, their collective futures.
As such, how could he not reward someone for increasing the strength of "his" Clan, of his people.
Arthur raised his hand and patted Dominic's back. His words caused Dominic to sigh, but the intent behind them would've caused the hairs on his back to raise.
"So long as I can support you brother.... I won't ever let you go".
