Ethan was in his house after the meeting with the ex-bandits and his friends. He gave them an option to change their lives and they accepted it.
Ethan had the knowledge from his previous life but in this life he didn't know much about the world or his Kingdom. He was the son of a peasant so there was not much information he was accessible to in the first place. The only thing he knew was that their enemy was known as Bennet Kingdom.
What he did know was that the Kingdom was not very stable as bandits were able to run rampant which meant that the king wouldn't or couldn't do much for them.
What he needed to do now was build his own force. Baron Jost needed time to build his own force. While the bandits were taken care off it didn't mean that new threats were not possible. He had to prepare for everything efficiently.
He had asked his group to meet tomorrow at 5 am for the training. Most of them didn't think much of it as they thought it would be a piece of cake.
Ethan had to make himself and his team strong. In the future he might have to build a force as strong as a city governor as he wanted to guarantee his safety.
The next day everyone came to the appointed spot. Ethan knew that what the people of this era lacked was discipline. He had to make them strong and well disciplined.
To make the people learn discipline he had decided to make the training similar to military Boot camp.
As soon as it was 5 am Ethan started his speech. "From today onwards we are going to start a special type of training which will make you guys stronger. I call it the military training."
When the people heard this many of the people didn't think much of it as they knew Ethan was just a peasant. He couldn't probably know the army training methods.
Some of the bandits were thinking of killing Ethan and the other children and making a run for their lives. They had joined Ethan because he could have killed them just like he did the other bandits. But it didn't mean they would follow a 8 year old boy without any reason. They were just waiting for the right moment.
Ethan continued with speech " As I am your instructor you will not take me seriously if I don't show you my strength. So I will ask the one who thinks he is the strongest in the group to come fight me."
As soon as he said that two people in the group stood up one was York as he believed himself to be the strongest in the remaining bandits and the other was a bulky man named Kurt.
Ethan picked up two wooden swords and gave one to the bulky man and told him to come towards him. The bulky man was one of the people who wanted to kill Ethan to escape from the town. He was confident in defeating Ethan. He was not sure whether he could kill him with a wooden sword though.
Ethan had learnt wielding many weapons. After learning fighting techniques he was also interested in Kenjutsu. Along with his flexibility training in intelligence services he knew that ordinary people would be no match for his swordsmanship.
Ethan asked York to be the referee. York started the match and as soon as he started the match Kurt ran towards Ethan but just as he reached near Ethan, Ethan dodged his charge them in a blink of an eye Ethan's sword was on Kurt's neck.
Everyone had their eyes wide open seeing what happened in from of their eyes. Many of them couldn't believe it. But they saw it with their own eyes so there was no denying it. Kurt gave up immediately as he knew he had lost.
In reality Ethan didn't have a lot of strength. He was afterall in the body of a 8 year old boy. His techniques were the reason he was able to defeat Kurt using his momentum against him and reversing the table. The techniques Ethan learnt from the intelligence services and his heart long training with swords made him unbeatable in front of rogue bandits.
Kenjutsu covered all the Japanese swordsmanship techniques and he had practiced the quick draw for years. Ethan was completely proficient with the sword. He needed a different type of sword to show his maximum potential but against a bunch of amateurs he was unbeatable.
The people who wanted to kill him were shocked. Kurt was the strongest bandit. He was as strong as the bandit chief while he was alive. He only joined the group because he owed the bandit chief his life. They thought Ethan must be very skillful with the sword if he could defeat Kurt so fast. At that moment the bandits gave him the respect a leader needed for the first time since they joined him.
Now that Ethan truly had the attention of everyone he said " Everyone who came after the time I alloted come towards my right."
Then he said " let me remind all of you this is military training. From this day forth remember it while doing anything. If you fail in doing a task or underperform in a task you will be going through a punishment."
"Everyone who came later today will be running a round of the town after the training as punishment."
Everyone thought it was a lenient punishment as it was not that hard to do. Ethan knew that these were the weakest bandits in the area. But he was not worried as with time and practice they would improve by a lot.
Ethan started the training by making everyone do the exercises like burpees, plank, pull ups, pushups, sit ups and squats. As this was the first day Ethan had them do the tasks in moderation.
Everyone thought the exercises were easy but eventually they saw the toll they took on their body. Many of them found it tough to do the exercises after pushups. But eventually everyone completed the tasks because Ethan was doing the tasks with them and many of them couldn't give an excuse why they couldn't do the exercise an 8 year old was doing.
After the end of the 6 exercises Ethan ended the normal training and told them to spar against each other. Ethan would tell each of them how they needed to improve their techniques.
Many of the bandits didn't have any formal training so this helped them a lot. After the end of the training Ethan ended the day of practice. Then he asked the people who were to do their punishment to pick up some stones he had placed beforehand. He knew that people were going to be late so he had come prepared.
He had them run around the town carrying the stone in their hands. This was a tough punishment especially after the training of the day. Many of the people seeing these poor souls thought they would never be late for the training ever.
