It was cold. Wet and cold. August had been attending school like he normally did. Bullied and ridiculed by his peers and ignored by the teachers, except for just one. Well, she wasn't a teacher persay. She was instead the school nurse. Her name was Jony. Originally, August had enjoyed being with Jony, she had treated him like an actual person after all.
You see, August not only had a troubled school life, but he also had a troubled home life. His mother died while birthing him, his father unable to bear with her death soon turned to alcohol and pills. So you see, the abused and malnutritioned boy could only seek comfort from Jony's presence.
However, August soon realized that Jony was just manipulating him. She didn't truly care for him. She only saw him as a toy to be played with, then thrown away when bored.
Betrayed and anxious, he could only try to avoid her. But one day, a serious storm had arrived on a certian snowy morning. The storm raged as he and the students were in class. The storm was something that was for some reason, not predicted by the weather forecast. So they were trapped and afraid in a dilapidated, dark and damp school as they watched the streets flood. The storm not at all stopping.
Soon, you could see the water rise to heights that August had never seen before. The cold water seeping into the school, soaking and drenching the small boy's body till it was shivering.
But just like how sudden it had appeared, it left just as abruptly. August was finally able to leave and go home, of course that's if his home was still intact. August was unsure if his father was even alive. After all, in a storm like this, there was bound to be those who were injured or dead.
Unsurprisingly, with August's luck, his home had collapsed. His father missing. What could August possibly do? He of course left with others who had been rescued, taken to an orphanage and had been adopted. His father hadn't appeared at all so he was probably dead, at least that's what the old aunt that had lived next door thought.
August of course, once again wound up in a not so good home. This family had a mother and father who constantly fought and two siblings who disliked him. Although there was no physical abuse from the parents and nothing too bad from the children, August simply could not feel that this place was his him. So in an act of impulse, he ran away.
On this type of cold, snowy night, this was an extraordinary stupid choice. But never had August felt more free then now as he ran through the snow covered woods by his supposed home. The cold air seeping into his lungs and bones as it whipped against his face. Crystal like tears brimming in his eyes from the wind, August couldn't help but laugh. A carefree laugh, a laugh filled with life. A type of laugh he hadn't done for a long time.
After who knows how long, he found himself in the nearest city. Although he did take the bus after running through the woods, he still felt that this bus ride was quite enjoyable. After all, it was the last bus, not many were on it. For once, August counted himself lucky, he had barely made it on time to catch the bus.
However that wasn't the end of his good luck. It was as if all the good luck he had never had, had suddenly emerged in one night. However, what he didn't know is that this good luck would carry on for the rest of his life and all of his lives after.
He had randomly gotten off the train, stumbled to some random residential area, and past out. From what? Hunger and the cold. August didn't plan very well at all.
Luckily, probably the most lucky thing, is that he past out right in front of his fated lovers home. After August's 16 year old body finally collapsed, he was shortly after found by Riley, who was coming home after over time work at his company.
Finding a random person at his door, Riley could say with certainty that he was not the one to murder this man. Oh, no, he's alive.
Although Riley is a soft-hearted man, he was still not the type to get involved with dangerous looking people, however, for some reason he felt that he couldn't leave this person alone. So, he took him in.

"Riley! Honey! Sugar! Dear-" Before the now 20 years old August could continue, he was suddenly silenced by the quick kiss from Riley. August, who now had the look of a cat who had gotten a fish, couldn't help but cling to Riley as he asked for cuddles.
This goofy and probably stupid with love August was very much so different then the August 4 years ago. As he had said, he had been raised with love and care from Riley!
After the whole passing out ordeal, Riley basically took him in and acted as his guardian. Of course, he did this after a month of trying to find the reluctant to help Riley's actual guardians. After finally being cooked with warm water like a frog for that month, Riley finally gave in and after finding August's guardians and talking to them, he had become August's legal guardian.
Of course, after a year or so, he also became August's lover. However Riley still didn't allow anything beyond kissing and cuddling till he was 18. How responsible!
Riley looked down at the cuddly lovebug of a cat, August, and couldn't help but turn his head again to kiss him. "Stop it, go back and clean your hands or I won't feed you again!"
August squinted his eyes in comfort like a cat before nodding his head obediently before quickly walking towards the bathroom to wash his hands.
Riley looked at the shorter figure with mirth in his eyes, obviously happy to cuddle with August. After watching for a moment, he continued to bustle about in the kitchen. Of course, the best part was that he was currently wearing a white appron with a cute cartoon bear on the front. This rough gangster looking man wearing such clothing was simply too cute in August's opinion!

Under the warm orange lights above, was two men. One looked rough but had a friendly look and the other was a beautiful fair skinned, blonde man. Truly handsome! (ノ^∇^)ノ
Outside, however, was a cold field of white while the sky a dark blue, almost black. It was snowing, much like the day that August and Riley had first met. August was alo hungry like that day, but definitely not as cold. Both in the heart and in the body.
Due to being malnutritioned for a long time, Augusts's growth was stunted. However, in Riley's opinion, this just made him more comfortable to cuddle. It was also very cute. However, in other aspects, August was very manly.
As for what they are doing now, they are currently eating the delicious mouthwatering food Riley had cooked for dinner. Although August keenly noticed that the food was even more mouthwatering today. But he could guess why, it was his his own birthday after all. He would be turning 20.
After eating a delicious and warm meal, Riley brought out a box wrapped poorly. With a light blush dusted across his face, Riley could only say with embarrassment, "Don't mind the the outside."
August only softly chuckled in response to Rileys comment, after watching Riley for a moment, he carefully and gently took the present. Warmth and joy emanating from him. After all, only Riley had ever gotten him gifts.
After unwrapping the present carefully, August slowly opened the box inside. Inside the box was an apron, similar to the one that Riley always wore, except instead of a bear, it was a cute kitty. August wondered if he Riley bought it because of all the kitchen play.
Laughing joyfully at the nervous bear in front of him, August couldn't help but grin widely as he dragged Riley over to him for cuddles and kisses, and maybe some apron play.
Let's just say, this was a very enjoyable night for both Riley and August.
