Chereads / Paris Grimm | Vampire Prophecy / Chapter 71 - C69: Dannie’s Shrine

Chapter 71 - C69: Dannie’s Shrine

Richard's POV:

The hooded girl brought me into the shrine house and up to a god sitting by an open door viewing the deck out on the ocean. He glanced at me before giving a smile. "Hello," he said softly. Oh man.... I watched him then frowned.

"Hello," I said then sat down beside him slowly. "Do you mind?" I've got to be polite if I want Paris in here with me. I can't screw this up for my baby and my mate.

"Not at all," he told me.

"There are three more at the entrance but cannot pass," she told him softly.

"Your friends?" He asked me in assumption. I nodded.

"They have demon in their blood," I explained. "They mean well though. One is my son, the other is my mate, and the other is my mate's brother. They're looking for someone here with me, and they would really like to see him. If you would be so kind, could you let them in?"

"Let them in," he told the hooded girl. She nodded before walking out quickly. After a few minutes she came back with them and bowed politely. "Who are you looking for?" He asked me calmly as a girl in a kimono walked up with a tray of tea for all of us and handed the individual cups out to us while another girl poured the tea, and another asked us for sugar. I told her two then looked at him.

"A gift from the devil," I told him calmly. "You have one of my sons. He was killed before he could even take a breath of air.... His name was going to be Dannie," I whispered. He nodded as he gave it a thoughtful look.

"I wondered why he was so young," he told me.

"He's the twin to Donnie," I told him then pointed to Donnie. "Do you still have Dannie?" I asked, giving him a hopeful look. "We want to see him."

"I do," he told me as he eyed over Donnie. "You're the spitting image of him," he told him before looking at one of the servants that had come in to serve us. "Go get my sweet Emiko," he told one of them before looking at me. "I think it'll be a great ease to your heart that he's been treated highly here as one of my favorites." He told me. "I named him Emiko and reformed him as a one of my shrine keepers here." He watched as the girls left us and giggled to each other. I eyed him over then took a sip of my tea. That damn god got to raise my child. I looked away from him out to the sea to keep from saying anything to him and felt a little relief as I heard Louis say something to him about how it was a great thing to hear. After a few minutes of silence, the girls walked back in with my long-lost child- Dannie. He was the spitting image of Donnie but was in a white and silver kimono with cherry blossoms all over it and his hair was much longer and put up in a bow. He had a calm, tame, and at peace look upon his face from living at a shrine. He seemed almost human looking from his pink cheeks that were glowing as he looked at us. This was my son but also- not my son. I've never met him before but he's an exact copy of Donnie.

"Eiko," he said softly to the god like he was calling him by his name. "You called for me."

"There are some visitors here to see you," the god told him. "Come sit by me." Dannie bowed obediently and walked up to us before sitting down slowly and widened his eyes as he looked at Donnie then at Paris and Louis before looking at Eiko quickly in shock and confusion. I softened my eyes as I looked at him and felt my stone pulse at the sight of him. Of course, he doesn't recognize me, but I recognize him....

"Hey Emiko," Louis purred to him. "We've heard a lot about you~"

"I haven't had the pleasure to know you," he said softly.

"This is Richard and his friends; they have something they want to share with you." I looked over Dannie then purred a little.

"You must have a lot of questions," I told him then looked towards Donnie. "Donnie, don't you want to say hi to your twin?" I asked him, prompting him. "You've been waiting all your life to talk to him." Donnie blushed as he eyed him over before going to start for him, but Dannie widened his eyes and leaned away quickly in alarm. I laughed a little then purred in amusement. "Precious," I murmured. I wish that I had gotten to raise him with Paris... but at least he's here... and a grown man. Donnie smirked playfully then at Dannie.

"Scared?" He asked him.

"N-no," Dannie whispered.

"I'm your twin," Donnie told him quickly and reached out for him. "Touch me."

"Donnie," Paris laughed out then and looked at Louis in amusement. "Touch me Louis, I'm your twin," he whispered under his breath. Louis widened his eyes then started to crawl away.

"Nuh-uh," he said, taking his tea with him.

"No fun," Paris mumbled. Dannie blushed and looked away quickly before looking at the god.

"Why?" He asked softly and looked hurt. "I thought.... I thought I didn't have a family outside of you and here."

"Oh silly," the god sighed out. "You had a life once." One he didn't get to live.... I frowned and looked at Dannie, taking in a shaky breath. I want to touch him and hold him... but I would freak him out the same as Donnie.

"You were going to be my son," I murmured under my breath, watching him. Those damned hunters.... I'm going to kill every single one of them. How many children do I have to lose to them? He looked at me before looking down at his lap and started to cry a little.

"Are you upset?" Eiko asked softly towards Dannie.

"Yes," Dannie whispered. Eiko reached out and touched his tears before whipping them away for him.

"Don't be," Eiko told him.

"I don't understand," Dannie told him. "A shrine maiden raised me." There's no way in hell I'm telling him. I sunk down a bit and started to sip on my tea. Telling him that he died because I was... couldn't defend him... is something I'm not going to do. I averted my eyes to the floor, rubbing my teacup with my fingers as I bit my bottom lip. Paris shouldn't have gotten shot. It was my fault.... I was the father. I should've been more alert. I should've managed to kill the hunters before they got back to them.

"Yes, she did," Eiko told him. "I gave you your name too," he reminded him. "But I got you from a good friend of mine as a gift. You came to me wrapped up in a package and when I unwrapped it- there you were. A little bundle of pure unborn pureblood vampire. They're not old enough to be born into sin and be placed to rot in hell... You're gifted to people like me."

"Unborn?" Dannie asked softly in confusion.

"You died before you could be born. So, you were gifted to me," Eiko whispered.

"Am I dead?" Dannie asked and sounded panicked as he looked at his arms.

"No, you're alive here," Eiko told him.

"Here?" Donnie asked softly.

"If he steps off of my shine, he will become what he was when he was brought to me." I frowned and looked at Eiko and Dannie then sighed. So... taking Dannie is a huge no. At least we get to see him though. I smiled a little at the thought then took a sip of my tea. This is a lot more than I could have ever asked for.

"We wouldn't want him to be taken from something he's been familiar with all his life," I said thoughtfully. "He belongs here...." You can see it in his face. At least my baby boy didn't stay in hell.

"Oh," Dannie whispered and stood up slowly before looking at us. "I don't wish to see you anymore," he told us before looking at Eiko. "I'll return to my room." He started to leave then as he rubbed tears from his eyes. I widened my eyes and got to my feet in alarm.

"Dannie," I called out after him, feeling the teacup slip from my hands. Not see us? I heard Louis make a small noise as he stayed down and moved back to Paris's side quickly. Paris gasped a little then and looked surprised. Donnie moved to his feet quickly.

"But- we just met," Donnie said and frowned. "I'm your twin! My mom spent forever too not seeing his, but they ended up being happy together in the end. We should too," he said quickly and went after him. "Dannie," he called out.

"I'm not Dannie, please refrain from calling me by that name. My god gave me the name Emiko and that'll be what I'll answer to only," he said sharply and held his head up high to show off his respect for the name. I frowned and took a few steps toward him.

"Emiko, we don't mean to cause you any distress. We've been wanting to see you for a long time. Donnie has always wondered about you. I'm sure that if you two spent time together, you would really come to enjoy his company," I said. Even if he rejects me and Paris... he can't reject Donnie. I won't let Donnie get heartbroken. "Please, he's been looking forward to this ever since he found out about you." Emiko looked at us before looking at me in particular.

"You can stay," he told me. "But I want the others to go."

"W-what? Why?" I asked and frowned. "They love you...."

"We went through a lot just to find out where you were," Louis murmured softly.

"Your presence here is hurting my god," he told us. "There's only so much he can take from being around demons and you're impurifying him."

"You're a demon," Donnie snapped at him.

"That's not true. I had to get rid of that to let him stay here," Eiko explained. "He was purified the moment he touched my hands in his small little form." He gave a smile then. "So small..."

"That sounds creepy, don't say that," Emiko told him and shivered.

"If too many demons are the problem, then you could let them visit you one by one," I said sharply. "Your mother and your brother came all this way. Please don't throw them out and refuse to see them. Your uncle worked with a demon to find you. I may not have demon in my blood, but I am very much a part of our family. Even if visiting you just this once is the only time, we can... let them see you. If your aunt knew you were here and we came without her, she'd have our heads out of jealousy." I looked towards Paris then grabbed his hand, pulling him up to my side and kissed his cheek. I know that he doesn't want Eiko to get hurt by them being here, but one demon at a time shouldn't be that much of a problem for a god to handle. He's a god.

"I don't want to see you," he said softly as he looked at them. "That's all." I frowned and watched him then looked towards my family before I took Paris's hand in mine and squeezed it.

"Paris... maybe we should go," I whispered to him. "We scare him...." We didn't raise Dannie.... He died, and that's that.... Maybe it wasn't our faults, but we shouldn't continue to haunt him in the afterlife... and I don't want Donnie to be more upset about his twin than he already is.

"Wh-why?" Donnie asked softly and looked disappointed. "We came all this way."

"Please leave," Emiko told him.

"Donnie," I said more firmly, looking towards him. "He wasn't raised as your twin."

"But..." Louis frowned and looked towards Donnie and Emiko. "I wasn't raised as Paris's twin."

"He's a grown man and if he doesn't want to know us then we will have to accept his choices," Paris said softly to Donnie. "Maybe one day he will reach out to us when he's ready. We'll be more than welcome to answer you," he told Emiko as he looked at him.

"Please don't ask us to leave," Donnie begged his twin softly. "I've wanted to know you for a very long time."

"I'm asking you," Emiko told him. "Please don't make it harder than that. Leave." Donnie stood up then and gave a small gasp as he looked at his twin with a hurt look.

"You're my brother," Donnie whispered. "No one will change that. Not even you."

"I wasn't trying to change it. I asked for you to leave." I let go of Paris's hand then walked over to Donnie, pulling him back into my arms and kissed his cheek.

"Donnie, if you love him, you need to respect his choice," I whispered in his ear. "He might reach out to you one day to find out more about you, and when he does, you'll be there for him, but for right now, he's had his world shaken. I'm sorry that your reunion didn't turn out like your mother's and your uncle's, but you have a family that loves you so very, very much. You're our little boy~ Dan- Emiko just needs a little space to think. We'll leave our address with Eiko. Maybe the two of you will become pen pals one day."

"I'll make sure to encourage the letters," Eiko said as he stood up and walked up to Emiko and hugged him- holding his head. "Emiko, I'm sorry you've been put under so much pressure and been shook with new knowledge of your own family. You should send them letters though to ease both of your minds." He rubbed his head then. I tensed as I watched Eiko holding my son before I tightened my grip on Donnie. That would have been my job... to hold them both....

"You know where he is," I murmured to Donnie. "You can send him letters and pictures of the outside world if you want." Donnie nodded quickly then like he was determined to live his life to do that.

"Okay," he whispered. I tilted his chin up to look at me then gave him a firm look.

"Don't obsess over it," I warned him. "I want you to still live your life. I want you to have a full, long life of happiness. You're my firstborn."

"Y-yes dad," he whispered softly. I nodded then leaned in, kissing his cheek gently.

"I love you so much," I purred, rubbing his back then looked into his eyes. "You're so beautiful like your mother~" I don't know where I'd be if it wasn't for Paris and Donnie!

"I love you too," he whispered to me. I smiled then grabbed his hands.

"You're going to be okay," I promised him, squeezing his hands. Louis cleared his throat sharply then purred.

"This would be a good time to announce that I'm stealing him away to Wales with me until my birthday," he said and grinned devilishly. "I'll show him the charms of my country and make him want to stay with me."

"Well... Only if I get to visit Aunt Rose too," Donnie told him.

"We can visit her if you'd like," he purred sweetly, rushing up and snatching Donnie out of my arms. I gasped then hissed, going after them.

"He's my boy! Go make your own babies!" I hissed towards him.

"Yeah, I want a cousin to play with," Donnie whined out. Louis smirked and scooped him up off the ground to keep him from me.

"I don't have a mate to have babies with," he said and purred loudly in amusement. "Besides, I'm supposed to be the single bachelor around here- mateless."

"I still want my cousins," Donnie mumbled.

"Maybe one day," Louis told Donnie then kissed his cheek. "I might find my mate one day, or I'll be like Laurence and never have one."

"I'm sure you'll get your mate," Paris promised him. Louis looked at him then chuckled a little, rubbing Donnie's head.

"I'm not worried yet," he said, looking Paris in the eyes. "I'm having fun without my mate."

"Let's leave my twin alone," Donnie sighed out. Louis frowned then disappeared with Donnie quickly, making me gasp.

"HEY! BRING BACK MY DAMN KID!" I shouted. "Paris! He took our kid!" I said and whirled around, snatching the front of Paris's shirt. "He ran off with him!"

"Donnie is old enough to do things on his own. Cool down," Paris told me. I frowned then leaned in, giving him a kiss.

"But still... he's my son," I grumbled then sighed. "We need to clean things up at home though. Louis holding onto him for now might be a good idea."

"You're right," Paris said before looking at Eiko. "Thank you for letting us see Emiko for the first time."

"You're welcome," Eiko said towards us as he rubbed Emiko's arms. I looked back at them then gave a small purr before I looked Emiko over. I hope he reaches out to us....

"Eiko, let me give you our contact information," I told him then pulled out Paris's journal in his coat and ripped out a blank page at the end then wrote down our address and our phone number before I gave it to Eiko. "There~ Emiko, don't be afraid to contact us and ask us questions," I told him and gave him a sweet look. "We'd be overjoyed to hear from you, and I know this is a lot to take in, but I'm glad we got to see you." I gently touched Emiko's cheek then ruffled his hair as I went back to Paris and grabbed his hand. "Let's go home, my love," I murmured, kissing his neck.

"Okay," Paris purred before teleporting us home quickly. When we arrived, he let me go and frowned a little. "It's good to know where he is," he whispered. I nodded and sighed, sitting down in a nearby chair.

"It's good to know he's not sitting in Hell being tormented... but I wish we could have him back," I murmured. "Watching that god hugging and caring for our son instead of us was hard. I know Donnie is going to have a hard time too... but Paris, seeing him again-" I stopped and rubbed at my eyes as I felt them sting. It was my fault. I screwed up. I hung my head and looked down at my lap, shaking a little. "It's my fault we couldn't raise him.... I was too weak and too slow, Paris...." It's a good thing we didn't have Myra. She could have easily winded up like our Dannie. She might have been taken from us. I don't want to lose another child, especially if I know that they're somewhere out in the world where I can't reach them and can't raise them. I brought my knees up to my chest and hugged them tightly, staring at the floor. "Paris... maybe we shouldn't have kids. Hunters are always going to be in this world. We'll always run the risk of losing our baby, and I don't think I can handle losing another one." I took in a shaky breath as a tear ran down my cheek. I can't lose another one.

"Richard," he whispered and sounded sad then. "Let's just focus on doing what we promised ourselves to do for Myra." I looked up at him then reached for him.

"Paris," I called out, feeling my stone pulse as I furrowed my eyebrows slightly. "Of course, we're going to do the best we can," I promised softly. "I swear I'll get stronger. I want to make this place safe for Donnie and Myra.... I'm just..." I'm worried.

"We're undefeatable," Paris muttered firmly towards me. "We're Richard and Paris." I watched him then nodded a little, wiping my eyes before I got to my feet and went over to him. I wrapped my arms around him then leaned in towards his neck, kissing it lightly. Undefeatable....

"I love you," I whispered then sighed softly as I closed my eyes, the feel of him in my arms and his scent calming me. "I'll kick anyone's ass that tries to hurt my family."

"I love you too," he whispered to me and rubbed my cheek. "Let's go blood binge." I chuckled a little at the thought then gave a playful growl.

"Blood binge? Maybe I'll just eat you up," I teased him and pressed my body against his. "I'll get you with my fangs~"

"Maybe later," he promised me. I smirked and exposed my fangs, biting down into his shoulder harshly as I knocked him down onto a couch and got in his lap. Paris~ My sweet mate~ He gasped and groaned as he squirmed under me. "Richard!" I moaned as I drank some of his blood then pulled back, looking him in the eyes as I let his blood drip down my chin.

"Mate," I purred at him, stealing a kiss from his lips. "You're mine~" He smiled sweetly at me before wiping my mouth clean with his thumb.

"Richard," he mumbled. Grabbing his wrist, I kissed his thumb then his palm.

"I'm your prince charming," I teased him, looking deep into his eyes as I rubbed his hand against my cheek. "I'll always be your dark prince in shining armor~"

"I know," he whispered and gave a small smile. "You're my mate." I gasped a little then leaned in, kissing his lips lovingly. I love him so much.... He's the moon and stars in my night sky~ I don't know where I'd be without him. He's the only one for me in this long eternity I'm going to have~ He purred lightly as he eyed me over.

"Let's go get some blood in us," he suggested. I nodded then grabbed his belt loops, tugging on them a little.

"We're going to make this town ours~" I purred loudly then got out of his lap, going towards the garage. "Are we taking a car?" I can't wait to get some more blood. I've been getting thirstier lately like I've been starved all these years. I rubbed my throat then gasped as I felt a slight burning in the back of it at the thought of blood.

"This town is ours," he told me as he took my hand. "We don't need a car." He teleported us into town then and yanked me closer to him. "I asked Dante to visit us for a few days so we could catch up with each other." I frowned then and looped my fingers into his belt loops again, holding onto them.

"Dante? Why him? What about Victor?" My drinking buddy.... He's the whole reason I can get through those damned council meetings. They're so boring!

"Because Dante misses us, and we never spend time with him. He feels lonely and mistreated. So, I offered him to visit us. He's also going to see a witch about his mate. He's got a sleeping partner that's allergic to the sun. So, they won't be around us during the day until he's cured." I nodded then frowned. I want Victor....

"Alright, well we mostly sleep at night anyways," I husked out, kissing his neck.

"Fucking fags," I heard someone cough out as they passed us, bumping into me with their shoulder. I tensed and looked towards the man then narrowed my eyes, going after him quickly and ditching Paris. The Hell is his problem?!

Paris's POV:

"Wouldn't you like to know," I spat out and then grabbed Richard's hand before pulling him to me and grabbed his manhood through his pants and kissed him passionately before looking at the man on the street while I was kissing Richard. I let out a loud moan as I pulled away. "We're going to fuck each other tonight," I told him as I let Richard go and ran my fingers down his chest then before laughing slightly. "But we're going to eat you first." Richard watched me in a daze before he tackled me suddenly, throwing me to the ground as the man let out a yelp and started to take off running. He's so fucking hot and so fucking mine. I purred and gave an amused laugh as I leaned into his ear.

"Don't let that meatball get away. No one disrespects you~" He smirked at me then kissed my temple before he got to his feet and started after the man, taking his time as he began to whistle Mary Had a Little Lamb. The man shrieked and went to a shop, going to bang on the door, but Richard caught up to him and grabbed him by his shirt collar, throwing him down into the sidewalk with an evil smirk.

"Where do you think you're going?" He asked and stomped down onto the man's chest. I heard his bones snap under Richard as the man let out a bloodcurdling scream, throwing his head back as he grabbed Richard's ankle in pain. I eyed the two of them over before looking away slowly and avoided looking at them as my eyes wandered over the streets for any hunters that could be watching with a gun about to go off in our direction. This town is full of them... No doubt we might meet one or two tonight...

Dante's POV:

"Let's get some fast food~!" Heinrich said in excitement as he looked at his phone and pulled up the places we could eat at in Maine's small town where Paris's manor is built in. "I don't want to start tonight on an empty stomach."

"You don't even eat human food," I said and frowned, looking towards him. "You just want fast food because I don't give you fast food back home and because America is known for its fast food."

"M-maybe," he whispered and blushed. "Please?" I sighed and ran my fingers through his hair, giving a nod.

"Alright, I'll buy you some fast food. We'll go to Arby's." I hear that place is really good. Maybe I can lure someone into the bathroom and eat them back there after Heinrich is done eating. "There's one in the town nearby."

"I wanted to go to Burger King," he muttered in disappointment.

"Alright, Burger King," I said and took his phone from him, looking at the address. "Wherever you want to go sweetie." He gave me a sweet smile before hugging me quickly.

"Best future husband ever," he whispered in my ear. I laughed and kissed his cheek.

"I better be. You better start planning our wedding too. I'm leaving that to you, you know? I'll pay for it all, no matter how expensive you make it," I told him and smirked. I'm going to spoil him.

"I just want us and a honeymoon," he told me and looked me in the eyes lovingly. I purred then wrapped my arms around his lower waist then kissed his neck.

"Oh~? If that's the case, how about we go get married tomorrow night then run off to Australia and see some kangaroos and mate under the Australian sky in the outback?"

"You just want to go see the coral reef," he told me and smirked.

"That too," I told him and grinned. "We'll travel the world for our honeymoon~" I picked him up by his waist and made him wrap his legs around my hips as I gave him a kiss. "You're perfect for me, Heinrich. I love you so damn much."

"I love you too," he told me and gave me a sweet look. "I can't wait to marry you."

"Let's find a pastor," I said and gave a playful growl. "Let's do it. Tonight~ Let's get married and screw like newlyweds should."

"We can do that without being married," he told me and laughed. I smirked and kissed his lips, shoving him up against a wall quickly and pushed my hips up against his. Wrong choice of words~ He moaned and pulled back from the kiss quickly.

"D-Dante," he husked out. "I wanted us to go get something special together. American fast food." I moved to his ear and started to suck on his earlobe, rolling my hips into his. I'm going to make him so flustered before we go~ He whined a little then. "I know what you're doing," he whispered to me. I ran my tongue along his ear then moaned at him.

"What am I doing?" I asked, brushing my fingers over his butt.

"You're trying to make me marry you tonight by convincing me.... sexually."

"No, I want you flustered and begging," I purred to him and smirked. "When you finally are, I'll drag you to Burger King and make you eat your meal across the table from me so that you'll be thinking about me the entire meal. You'll jump me before the night is over~"

"N-no," he said and blushed. "D-Dante, don't do that to me."

"Oh yes~" I said and chuckled, leaning in and kissing him as I rocked my hips up into his and forced him up against the wall more firmly.

"No," he whispered to me and looked away from the kiss. I tsked then kissed his neck. He's not being fun....

"Heinrich," I husked out, trying to recapture his attention. "Don't you like me?"

"Of course," he told me and looked me in the eyes eagerly. "I just thought it would be nice if we could have one night where we're not knocking each other's bodies out on a hard or soft object." He's wanting a break from sex then? I looked him in the eyes then gave a small purr as I kissed him then let him down.

"Alright, a little break from sex," I told him and tapped his nose. "Just because you're cute."

"Good... now I can have a day to heal my butt," he said softly and smirked.

"You could have that any day if you were the dominate," I said and gave him a playful look. "I can do the hard work if you want to relax~"

"S-stop suggesting we do it tonight. We're going to have a nice night out of each other's pants."

"I'm too sexy for you. That's the problem, isn't it?" I asked and ran my fingers down my thighs then started for the door. "Well, sexy is as sexy does~"

"T-that's not true," he grumbled. "I wanted us to have bonding time outside of... our sexual needs." I looked at him then nodded, giving him a sweet look.

"I know," I told him then held out a hand towards him. "We won't have sex tonight. I want to make you happy, and if that's what it takes, then I'll do it."

"Please don't be angry about it," he whispered. I frowned then walked up to him, pulling him into my arms.

"I'm not mad," I whispered to him then kissed his lips. "I swear I'm not. How could I be mad at you? I want to make you the happiest I can."

"You sound upset," he mumbled. I laughed a little then kissed his chin gently.

"No, I'm not," I promised him. "I'm going to get you that burger though and feed you all the fast food you want while we're here. Now, aren't I the best lover in all the lands?" I smirked and started to tickle his sides playfully. He giggled before nodding and grabbed my hands.

"Dante," he gasped out. I chuckled and tightened my grip on his hands, yanking him to me then scooped him up into my arms.

"I love you," I murmured in his ear then teleported us outside that Burger King he wanted to eat at. I set him down on his feet then got the door for him, purring a little. I'm going to spoil him so bad~ He nodded before pulling away from me.

"Okay, let's go get some fast food." I nodded then got him inside before I walked behind him, making sure he got up to the counter then placed our orders.

"Go pick out a table. I'll bring our food to us when they give it out," I told him as I paid and glanced towards him. "Pick something by the window."

"Maybe I want something more centered," he muttered before walking towards a window table. I frowned as I watched him then sighed. I thought the window seat would be more romantic. He could look out at America and enjoy it while we eat.... Who likes sitting in the middle of a fast food restaurant anyways? After getting our food, I walked over to him then gave him his burger and sat down.

"There~ I hope you'll like it," I said and smiled. "It's not as fancy as the food back in the castle, but it'll be something new for you." He nodded and looked at the food in awe before starting to eat it and wrinkled up his nose a bit.

"Wow, Americans suck at cooking," he muttered. "This is why I always made sure your foods were made from chiefs I handpicked." I smirked and took a bite of my burger watching him calmly. Heh, his palette can't stomach it~ I gave a playful moan, biting back my revulsion from the taste of the bland food. He looked at me in slight disappointment.

"Sorry, I should have just cooked us something~" He told me and reached out- snatching my hand into his. I frowned and sat my burger down on the wrapper.

"No, it's fine," I murmured. "You deserve a break." I leaned across the table and kissed his lips. "Try your milkshake. You might like that."

"Okay," he mumbled before taking a sip of it. "I'm surprised that these restaurants are open this late," he mumbled to me and looked out at the night sky.

"They're supposed to be. Americans work all sorts of shifts. People gotta eat," I told him and purred before I took his milkshake from him then bit into my thumb, hiding it under the table as I let my blood drip into it a little then stirred it up and gave it back to him. "There, try it now." He looked at the milkshake before taking another sip from it. When he went to sit it down, the lights shut off suddenly. I tensed and reached out, grabbing his hand. Something is off. I yanked him across the table into my arms, getting to my feet with him. Why the hell did the lights go off?! He clung to me quickly then and hid his face into my chest. F. U. C. K. I rubbed his head gently then started to take him towards some other people in the restaurant. The best thing to do if someone spotted me give him that blood is to get near a bunch of humans so that way the damn hunter that may or may not be here will have to wait us out. "Hey, do the lights normally shut off?" I asked as I walked to the counter and gave a chuckle. Shit, I hope there isn't a hunter here. I'm not in the mood for a fucking fight.

"No," he said as he shook his head. "But we're fixing the problem right now. Just be patient," he told me. I nodded and started to run my fingers through Heinrich's hair, kissing the top of his head lightly.

"Do you want to stay here?" I murmured lowly in his ear. "If we stay, it might not look suspicious."

"I don't want to stay in this suspicious place," he muttered. I nodded then sighed, looking towards the table. I need that milkshake. I put my blood into it from a bite. A human can't drink that. I took Heinrich back to the table then grabbed it.

"Let's go," I told him and handed him the milkshake, keeping my arm around his waist as I started to lead him to the door. I'll need to teleport us as soon as we're out of sight of humans.

"Not so fast," I heard a guy's voice say from behind the counter as I heard a few bodies in the lobby drop around us. Oh, fuck me. I groaned and glanced towards the counter.

"What? Can't a couple of love birds go meet another couple of love birds to go on a double date to the theatre?" I tsked then moved Heinrich closer to me. Damn hunters. Maybe if I just act like a petty human, he'll let us be. "I don't know you man. Fuck off."

"Good thing you don't... or this would be harder to do," he said before I heard a gun go off and suddenly, I felt a pain shake my body. I widened my eyes and let out a small grunt, staggering back. Biting back my pain, I exposed my fangs and teleported over to the man, snatching him by his throat and bit down into his shoulder. I tore out a chunk then spat it at his face, snarling as I kicked him between the legs and bashed his head against the counter. After letting him fall to the ground, I kicked him sharply in his stomach then snatched his gun, pointing it at him.

"Screw you," I hissed. "How fucking dare, you attack me and my mate? I'll make you suffer!"

"Hunters work in pairs," he told me as he grabbed the barrel quickly and pressed it up against his head with a daring look. I heard the window bust before my hand was shot from the bullet that busted the glass. I gasped in shock then took in a shaky breath as I kept from screaming then glared the man down and squeezed the trigger as my hand shook. I watched as he fell to the ground then looked towards the window, teleporting over to it quickly as I switched hands with the gun and looked at my healing hand then out. "WHY DON'T YOU COME HERE, YOU COWARD?!" I found a figure on a building's top straight across the road holding a sniper gun and there was light smoke like he was smoking a cigarette. I narrowed my eyes then teleported over to him before I pressed the gun against his head from behind. "Bastard," I hissed.

"There was only one bullet left," he told me calmly before using the gun and aimed someone else down quickly before pulling the trigger. I widened my eyes and looked past him to the restaurant. Who did he shoot? I clenched my jaw and pulled the trigger then tensed as it clicked- empty. Well, this is just going to have to work for now. I hit him upside the head hard with the gun, knocking him out and tossed the gun away. Disgusting humans. I need to go get Heinrich and take him somewhere safer than America. I teleported back into the restaurant where I had left him and glanced around.

"Heinrich," I called out quickly. "Babes, let's go back home." I hope he's not too shaken. I think the hunter probably got a human. Heinrich rushed to me quickly and hugged me tightly. He started to cry into my chest. I purred and wrapped him into my arms, kissing his temple. "Hey, it's going to be okay. They only got me twice. One didn't stay in my body. We'll just pull the other out when we're away from here. We're safe," I murmured into his ear. "Let's go home where we can get the bullet out then get you something better to eat than this." Heinrich grabbed my hand quickly and looked up at me.

"Dante, I'm bleeding," he said softly and fell against me quickly. "It hurts," he whispered. I tensed and looked towards his chest quickly, my breath catching. He got shot.... I locked onto his bullet wound on his chest before my stone pulsed. He's been shot.... I wasn't quick enough.

"Hey, it's going to be okay," I promised him quickly and lowered us to the floor. I've got to do something! I kissed him then ripped his shirt open to get a better look at it. Fuck! I can't let him die. I must get it out. "I'm going to get it out," I told him, looking into his eyes before I kissed him again then went back to his chest, starting to push my fingers into his wound to try to get it. It looks so bad.... It's so close to his heart. I felt my eyes sting a little as I heard him screaming and tried to block it out, pushing down on him with my free hand to keep him from fighting me. He gave me a panicked look as his eyes leaked tears.

"It hurts," he told me and sniffled as he tried to hold onto my arm tightly but let me try to take the bullet out. "Dante," he whined out as he gave a tired look suddenly as his eyes started to blink slowly and his grip started to loosen on me. I tensed and pulled back from the wound quickly.

"Heinrich, don't you dare close your eyes," I hissed at him. I'm not going to lose another mate. I refuse! I bit down into my wrist then pressed it against his lips. "Drink my blood." He nodded and sunk his fangs down into my wrist obediently and looked at me tiredly as he started to drink my blood. I gave him a loving look then kissed his forehead. "I love you so much," I murmured into his ear. I've got to do something about this... but what? He's going to die if I don't act quickly, and all I know to do is to pull it out, but I can't.... He'll lose too much blood while I'm doing it. Wait... I tensed and felt my breath catch. Rose.... Wasn't she studying to become a doctor? Could she save him? I pulled him into my arms and teleported to Paris's old castle in France. "ROSE! HELP!" I shouted, keeping my wrist over my love's lips. "QUICK!" Rose appeared in front of me suddenly with a book in her hands titled Frankenstein.

"What?" She asked as she eyed us over before frowning. "What have you two been up to?" She asked us curiously before sitting the book down carefully and walked over to us- using a hairbow on her wrist to put her hair up. She eyed over the wound and ripped open Heinrich's shirt quickly.

"Careful," I hissed at her. "I need you to help me save him. He'll lose too much blood if I take the bullet out myself." She nodded as if in agreement before pulling out a scalpel in her pocket and smirked.

"Lucky I keep one on me," she muttered before eyeing me over. "Don't fight me on my next moves if you want him alive," she told me before digging the scalpel into his wound and started to dig out the bullet's shards. "He's been hit close to the heart. How long has it been since then? He won't have much longer to live. He's been hit with a hunter's bullet- I can tell..." She picked up a piece she pulled out with the initials B.A. on it. B.A? I frowned.

"Not long," I told her. "He and I got into a fight with two hunters. I wasn't quick enough to do something with the sniper. I just want him to live. I love him, Rose." I looked towards her then at the bullet piece. B.A.... What the hell does that stand for? I narrowed my eyes and clenched my jaw. I'm going to find out.

"Well... wait you said a sniper?" She asked me curiously before finishing taking out the shards and eyed over the wound curiously before tearing into his skin then with the scalpel and opened him up to expose his chest quickly as she ripped him open. He screamed and bit down into me harder with a pained look and looked at me beggingly. She pointed towards a blue poison spreading around his organs. I widened my eyes then looked at her quickly.

"Save him," I hissed. "You have to be able to do something. You're supposed to be a damn doctor! I'm not letting anything happen to him!" Holy fuck, what kind of fate would allow this?! How many times do hunters have to take my lovers?!

"What? You think I've got an antidote laying around?" She asked me quickly before giving me an unhopeful look. "Dante..." She trailed off before giving a thoughtful look and started to cut the heart out carefully. "Go get a jar of blood," she told me sternly. "You'll find blood in the kitchen along with jars. "Hurry up or he will die." I widened my eyes then growled at her.

"You can't just-" I put him into her arms then teleported into the kitchen, doing as I was told quickly. She's going to kill him! I teleported back up to her with the jar and held it out to her expectantly, giving her a sharp glare. "Don't fuck this up, Rose. This is the love of my life. I've already lost so much in one existence. You better be able to save him. I'm trusting you."

"Shut up, his heart is like our stones... Just softer," she told me and placed his heart inside his jar. She looked at the body infected with the poison and watched as it started to get eat up with it. She looked at the jar before looking at me. "There's you a jar of mate. Find a body for him," she told me and shrugged. "I'll do the heart transplant and he'll be good as new." I nodded and looked at the jar, closing the lid gently.

"A body...." I could get a random human to do the trick. "He'll take it over like a pureblood stone?"

"Should," she mumbled and gave it a thoughtful look. "I'm going off first-class instincts. There's no handbook after all for these things. I had good tutors in Italy though when visiting Val. He might not have a good memory though," she mumbled. "After all he's not a pureblood. I did try Dante. If it doesn't work out, I did what I thought was best. I don't have a cure laying around for the poison and there was nothing else we could do in time to prevent his death." I frowned and looked her over then looked down at the jar.

"That's not fair though. I love him...." I gripped it tightly and held it to my chest. "I can't lose another...." My eyes started to sting as I looked down at the jar. What if this doesn't work? What am I going to do without Heinrich? We were going to get married.... "I'm supposed to marry him."

"His name is Blade," she told me softly. "He's with the Ainsworth family. I recognize the initials, bullets, and the fact it was a sniper. Blade knows his ways around weapons," she told me before looking at the bullet's initials. "Maybe the Ainsworths have a cure." Ainsworths? Wasn't that the family that Paris was befriending? I clenched my jaw and held the jar tighter.

"You mean that my Heinrich might die because of some stupid friend of Paris?" I hissed at her. "Because he was soft on one vampire hunter family?! What kind of bullshit is that?!"

"Hey, quit it," she told me sharply. "Go see them," she told me. "Be friendly and ask for a cure. Tell them I sent you and don't forget to mention my last name. Tell them they owe you." She scooped up the pieces of the bullet and put it in my hand before looking at the body and scooped it up into her arms. "I'll deal with this in the meantime. Their manor is in the same town as the Grimm manor. It's hard not to miss." I frowned and teleported to Paris's manor outside of his bedroom and kicked the door down, going in.

"PARIS! I need to get to the Ainsworth Manor," I called out, looking towards his bed expectantly. I don't care what he's doing in here. He's going to help me. Paris sent me a glare as he pushed his shirt down quickly from where he had been stripping for Richard.

"What the fuck, Dante," he hissed out. "I don't remember offering you a spot in bed with us," he said playfully before wrinkling up his nose at the sight of me and the jar. "What...what's that?" He asked and then looked at Richard apologetically. "We'll continue this later," he whispered.

"It's my mate, not a that. Now get your ass over here. We're going to the Ainsworth manor because they made the bullet that shot him," I hissed, walking over and snatching him. "Richard, you're just going to have to suck up one night of no sex." Richard frowned and watched me before he crossed his arms.

"Excuse me? This is my home. Be more polite when asking for my mate's help," he told me sharply. "Paris had nothing to do with your mate getting shot. You better treat him as a friend." I frowned at him then gripped Paris's arm, pulling him closer to me.

"Please," I whispered, looking towards him as I started to get worried. What if my mate does die? What am I going to do?

"Of course," he told me and looked empathetic as he took my hand and suddenly, we were outside a manor's door and he knocked politely on the door. He looked at me then. "Never teleport straight into their home after seeing the inside of it," he told me. "You might get shot quicker than knocking." The door opened as a woman looked at us blankly before smiling.

"Come in Paris. Who's your friend?" She asked.

"This is Dante, a friend of mine. He's got something to ask of you and your husband. Dante, this is Mrs. Ainsworth. You can just call her Judith and her husband is Caden." He walked into their home then.

"Momma," I heard a sweet boy's voice call from in another room. "You promised to finish watching our play. We made it just for you," he said before peeking out of a door to look for her. I found a dark-haired little boy with green eyes looking at us before another one with blue eyes looked out at us. They were dressed up as pirates and were twins. They looked like Judith.

"Go back in there and wait for me," she told them. They looked hesitant like they wanted to be nosy and find out what was going on. I looked them over and frowned before I looked at her.

"My mate was shot with one of Blade's bullets," I told her softly, trying to suppress my anger. There are children watching.... "Can you do something for him? I'm going to place him in a new body, but I don't want something to go wrong. I'd like an antidote just in case."

"Sure, hold on," she told me before looking at her kids and snapped her finger at them. They went back in the room quickly and shut the door. She looked at me before smiling.

"Boys will be boys," she said before starting to walk away. "Come. I'll find you an antidote. I just have to know what kind of bullet it was." She held out her hand then. "Do you have it for me?" Paris followed her then and looked at me.

"The Ainsworth family is more about business than hunting. They're into bullet and gun production and I've got a few guns being made for me by them now. I'm sure Blade didn't mean to gun you down in particular. He was just out hunting, and you were in his hunting grounds." I frowned and gave the woman the bullet before I looked at Paris.

"A Burger King is in his hunting grounds?" I asked then tsked. I wish I had another bullet to kill that bastard with quickly.

"Blade has a different view than us sometimes. After all he's in the HAHQ. We're only providing them weapons now. We got out when we had our children," Judith told me. "Caden's family has always been about the weapons and not about the deaths that come with them. But we do make antidotes for our poisons in the bullets. In case something bad happens to a friend." She led us down to the basement then.

"Oh, hey," I heard a man say as he looked up from a gun he was putting together. "What're you doing here, Paris? Your guns aren't ready yet," he said in a teasing tone.

"Blade shot a friend of mine's lover. He wants an antidote," Paris told him.

"Well that's too bad," he said as he looked at us. "Blade's guns hardly ever miss," he said in a joking tone before smirking. "There's no cure to death."

"He missed this time," Paris told him. "Nearly a good five inches. You better tell him to get his eyes checked."

"That's a death wish. He probably meant to miss," he said before starting to walk off towards a deep freezer.

"You could talk more sensitively about this," I grumbled. "This is my mate. You wouldn't be joking around if someone you cared about got shot."

"I wasn't joking," Caden told me as he went inside the freezer.

"Sorry," Paris whispered to me. I looked at him and gave a small nod, holding the jar closer to me as I hugged it tightly. At least Paris isn't being a French Poodle right now. Caden walked back out then with a small bottle filled with a clear liquid.

"Here you go," he told me and held it out. "Don't go trading secrets with vampires about it though," he warned me. I frowned and snatched it from him, pocketing it.

"Get a better job," I warned back then started for the doors. "Thanks for the antidote." Even though it was your faults that all this was caused. My Heinrich better be okay before the day is out.

"A better job?" Caden asked. "I'm making millions doing this. What's better?" He asked me and chuckled.

"Something that won't wind up with a grave over your head and a bunch of worms in your coffin," I hissed, glancing over my shoulder. "Killing people's mates isn't going to serve you well." Hunters are disgusting humans.

"Ignore Dante, he's just fuming because every mate he's ever had died from hunters," Paris told Caden. "He's always never going to like a hunter." I clenched my jaw and sent Paris a look. He has no fucking clue. Hunters deserve to be wiped out. I teleported out of the house then glanced around, starting to walk off in the direction of the scent of humans. I'm going to have to get Heinrich a new body quickly. I teleported into a nearby alley then walked out, glancing around before I snatched a male and teleported to Rose's place and tossed the male down at her feet and held out the vial to her. "Fix him." She eyed everything over before sighing as she gave a tired look.

"Can I get a please?" She asked before standing up from the couch she had been waiting on.

"Please," I whispered, watching her. "He means a lot to me."

"I know, but I would like it if you would quit getting an attitude with my family," she told me before pointing a finger at me. "You don't see Val doing it." She took the jar from me quickly before opening it and sat it to the side before looking at the human and pulled out her scalpel before tearing open his shirt and started to cut into him to get his chest open to perform this operation straight from hell. I watched her as I ignored the man's screams and held him down for her, giving a small sigh.

"If it makes you feel any better, I'm helping your brother out with those hunter problems he's been having," I grumbled. "I was in Maine for that reason when Heinrich got shot." She nodded slightly as she looked at me.

"Thanks for helping him out. He's giving up a lot of things right now to try to fix what he's put off for too long." She looked back down at the human. "It's terrible what hunters can make someone lose." I watched her then softened my eyes. Maybe she's not that bad....

"Yeah," I mumbled then felt the man's struggles fade as he fainted from the pain. "Thanks for this. I'm not going to forget it."

"I would," she muttered. "I probably will," she said and laughed a little as she brought the jar close.

"Hey~" I heard a familiar voice purr out as a shadow suddenly loamed over us. "You guys are having a dissection party without me? How cruel~" I could smell the vodka on him before I even laid eyes on Victor. He fell to his knees by us and chuckled darkly, looking towards the jar of Heinrich. "Wow~ a heart in a jar~ Never thought I'd see that anytime soon," he said and reached for it. "Whose heart is it? Mine?"

"No, it's Heinrich's heart. Don't touch it unless you want to die from the hands of Dante," she warned him. He gasped as he looked towards me then tackled me, starting to purr loudly as he nuzzled his head against my chest.

"Dante~ Long time no see," he said. I tensed as I looked him over, seeing he had blood all over his clothes. What the hell has he been doing?

"Hey Victor," I whispered. Whose blood is that? He doesn't look injured.... Rose looked at him before frowning and wrinkled up her nose a bit before going back to transferring the hearts. I tensed as she did and shoved him off me, sitting up quickly to make sure nothing bad happened to Heinrich.

"Dante," he whined out, wrapping his arms around my neck from behind me. "Don't shove me off. I'm drunk~"

"I can smell that," I told him, tilting my head to avoid getting too close to his. "I'm a bit busy right now. My mate is getting a new body."

"Oh? Is that what's going on?" Victor asked in interest. "I thought we were playing doctor."

"Victor, now isn't a good time," Rose told him. He frowned and looked her way then got to his feet, pulling out a bottle of vodka from his coat and taking a sip from it.

"Fine~ I'll go wait," he said and went over to a nearby couch, sitting down on it as he started to sing in Russian under his breath. He's so... carefree. I frowned as my eyes lingered on him. He smells like he's had a few bottles.... That blood on him is probably one of his prisoners. I smirked a little at the thought. Same old Victor. I turned my attention back to Rose, holding the man's chest cavity open for her quickly to help.

"I hope he'll be okay," I muttered. Heinrich has to be okay. He will.... Rose knows what she's doing. She shushed me as she started to focus on Heinrich's heart. She made sure to make every move careful so he wouldn't be disrupted.

~Time Skip~

I sat back on my heels as we finished and looked down at the body hopefully, eyeing his face over for any signs of movement. "Heinrich," I murmured sweetly, grabbing his hand and rubbing his knuckles. "Hey, you've got to wake up for me, okay?" I whispered. I had already given the body some of my blood to help him recover. He should wake soon. I leaned in and gave his lips a gentle kiss, squeezing his hand. Victor suddenly got quiet with his singing like he was watching too, waiting. Heinrich is going to wake up. I know he will.... He's my Heinrich. Rose wiped off her hands on a part of his ripped shirt and then got to her feet and walked up to Victor and crawled into his lap and leaned in for a kiss.

Heinrich's eyes opened a little as his hand reached for his chest as he gave a pained look. I looked down at him then purred quickly, kissing him again. "Heinrich~ you're awake," I purred in relief. My stone pulsed at him as I wrapped my arms around him, pulling him into them as I sat up with him. "You had me scared!" He purred a little before biting down into my neck and gave a hungry growl as he started to lower me onto my back.

"By the way... Do you want this ring back?" Rose asked me and tossed me the ring I gave to Heinrich. I caught it and looked towards Heinrich lovingly as I slipped it onto his finger and wrapped my legs around his waist as my back hit the floor.

"Heinrich," I murmured into his ear then kissed his neck. My sweet love~ He's going to be okay~ He pulled away from my neck and licked his lips clean before eyeing me over curiously then looked at the ring on his finger and stared it down for a few minutes. I frowned and watched him then ran my fingers through his hair. "Hey... Heinrich," I mumbled. Does he not remember this? "It's me, Dante. We're engaged. That's our engagement ring." I pointed to it then gave his lips a quick kiss. He's acting like he doesn't remember it. That's... weird. He eyed me over before nodding a little and then leaned in for a kiss and purred as he stole one from me. I purred back in delight, laying back as relief washed over me. No, he understands. He must remember a little. It's just taking him a bit because of the new body, but he knows me. I deepened the kiss, gripping his shirt as I pulled him closer to me and moaned slightly. He gave a small moan before pulling back from the kiss and eyed me over before giving me a sweet smile.

"Dante," he whispered softly. I smiled and rubbed his cheek, looking up into his eyes.

"What is it?" I asked him and moved my arms around his neck. "Come here silly."

"I just know I love you," he told me softly and blushed. I frowned and tensed a bit. Just know?

"Do you not remember us?" I asked him and curled his hair around my fingers as worry started to set in.

"No...." He trailed off as he eyed me over. "But I sense love for you," he whispered as he gave me a sweet look before looking around and rubbed his head. "Did something happen?"

"Yes," I whispered and frowned, letting him go slowly. He doesn't remember? Maybe his memory will slowly come back? "Something bad happened, and you barely lived," I admitted, sitting up with him in my lap. "Rose and I saved you- Well... Rose saved you, and I helped."

"I'm sorry I scared you," he whispered to me and then gave me a sweet look. "I didn't mean to."

"It wasn't your fault," I told him quickly and rubbed his cheek. "You didn't do anything wrong." I leaned in and gave him a quick kiss. "It's alright." He nodded and gave me a smile.

"Okay," he whispered and took my hand in his quickly. "I'm going to work hard to remember you," he promised me. I nodded and purred at him.

"I know.... I'm going to help you too," I said and then gave him a purr. "There's a lot for you to remember. It's going to take you a bit, but that's alright. You're not going anywhere, and that's what matters to me." I gave him another kiss and squeezed his hand in my grip. I'll raise him again as my newborn if that's what it takes. I leaned in towards his neck then bit down, marking him as I pulled him closer to me. He moaned and gave a little gasp as if he was shocked by it. He gripped my shirt quickly and melted against me.

"I wanna know you," he mumbled. I chuckled and pulled back from his neck, hugging him as I kissed the top of his head.

"You will," I promised. "I'm going to take really good care of you, I swear. You're my love~"

"Alright you two," Rose said as she cleared her throat. "Dante, I think you should take him home so he can try to pick up memories in a more familiar environment. Plus, I want alone time with Victor." I nodded then teleported him into our bedroom back in my castle, setting him down on the bed he liked so much.

"This is our bed," I told him softly, watching him. "You really like the sheets because of how soft they are." He started to touch them before gasping and crawled into the bed quickly and collapsed on it- giving a small moan as he rubbed his face against it. I purred as I watched him then sat down on the edge, running my fingers through my hair. I think I'll give him enough time to enjoy the sheets before I try introducing him to something else. I don't want to ruin his excitement at finding something he likes again. "We sleep in them all day together," I told him and chuckled as I watched him. "You're allergic to daylight, so we're nocturnal together." He sat up and looked at me before looking at the curtains.

"I'll have to make sure they're shut then," he said thoughtfully. I nodded and smiled.

"We'll make sure together. I don't want to burden you with worrying about it too much. I'm not going to let you get hurt."

"Not again," he said softly before giving me a smile. Ouch. I watched him then looked towards the curtains. He didn't have to tag that on it. "But that's okay, Dante... I don't expect you to be perfect. You can make mistakes. I'll forgive you." I felt my stone pulse a little at his words, sinking quickly. Yeah, but I almost watched him die.... I rubbed my cheek then got off the bed quickly, biting my lower lip as I avoided looking at him.

"I can't make mistakes when it comes to you, Heinrich," I murmured.

"That's a lot of pressure," he told me before getting up and reached out for me. "Are you pressured because of me?" I frowned and looked at him quickly, shaking my head no.

"No, I just don't want anything bad to happen to you," I told him and grabbed his hands, pulling him to me. "You matter a lot to me. You're one of the only people I love.... I can't let something happen to you." It's why I was hesitant to get engaged to him... because bad things happen to those who I'm with. I've lost a couple of mates already.... He nodded and gave my hands a squeeze before leaning in and kissing me. When he pulled back, he gave a small blush.

"What's more things I like?" He asked softly.

"Me," I teased him and gave a playful growl as I wrapped my arms around him. "You absolutely adore me."

"I know that already," he told me and laughed a little. "I have an uncontrollable admiration for you," he told me and then smiled a little. I purred and gave him a kiss then rubbed his back gently.

"You like my back rubs... and you like my huge bathtub.... You like my blood, and you like calling me majesty. You used to fight me a lot on being my head butler- which you were," I told him then smiled. "I made you retire though when we got engaged. Your favorite method of punishing me for places that you thought I ought not to be in was to take a spatula to me when I would go into the kitchen to do things myself." He gave a small laugh before facing me.

"I want to try out that bathtub of yours," he told me before giving it a thoughtful look. "Join me." I widened my eyes a little then nodded, kissing his lips. I thought he would have told me not to just yet.... He doesn't remember me like he used to.

"Alright, I'll draw us a bath," I purred to him then pulled away, going towards the bathroom. I crossed over to my bathtub and started the water, plugging up the drain as it warmed quickly then dumped his favorite scent into the tub for him and watched as it bubbled up. "I put your favorite scent in!" I called to him and smiled. This might help him some. He walked in and started to undress himself- having trouble with his belt at first and shoes. When he finished getting undressed, he caught his reflection in the mirror and walked up to it- eyeing it over in confusion.

"Is that me?" He asked and rubbed his face before exposing his fangs at himself. I chuckled as I watched him and nodded.

"Yes," I purred and walked over, wrapping him into my arms. "You're a handsome devil~" He purred as he leaned up against me then turned quickly to face me and bit down into my neck and marked me as he bit down harder. I moaned and fell back against a wall, pulling him with me as I leaned in for his neck and bit him, marking him back. Heinrich~! I dug my fangs in deep, moving my hands to his hips and gripped them. He let out a sigh quickly and took his fangs out as he gave a small laugh and melted against me. I purred at him then pulled my fangs out, looking towards him then kissed him. "Go get in the tub," I told him and moved my hands away from him. He's too cute for his own good. I moved away from him and grabbed my hairbrush, brushing my hair out as I waited for him. He got in the tub quickly and gasped a little as he smelled the bubbles then looked at me.

"I love this scent," he told me. I looked towards him and purred.

"That's why I put it in the tub, silly," I told him then walked over to the tub, taking my shirt off and tossing it into the hamper nearby. I think I'll leave my underwear on for him though. He seems so much more innocent. I don't want to freak him out too bad yet.

"Well yeah," he whispered. "You said I would like it," he laughed out before reaching out for me impatiently. I playfully pushed his hands away from me and smirked, kneeling by the tub as I grabbed the shampoo bottle and put some in his hair. I started to massage it into it and purred at him as I washed his hair for him.

"Impatient," I tsked teasingly.

"I wanted you to join me," he said softly as he eyed me over. I gave him a kiss then and rinsed out his hair.

"I know," I told him then kissed his neck.

"Are you coming in?" He asked and blushed. "You look hesitant." I smirked at him then got to my feet, starting to unbutton my pants.

"I will~" He gave me a smile and sunk a little in the tub as he watched me.

"Hurry up," he told me. "The water will get cold."

"You just want me in the tub, you shark," I teased him then pushed my pants down, taking my underwear with it. He probably won't be weirded out that much. If he's innocent and doesn't remember things instinctively, then he's not going to know what happens sometimes. I got into the tub with him on the other side and sunk down to my chin, purring in delight at the warmth of the water. He moved to me quickly- getting in my lap and leaned in for a kiss. I tensed and gave him a small kiss, pulling back as I looked him in the eyes. "Heinrich, you shark," I whispered then purred, kissing his neck.

"Is that my new nick name?" He asked me.

"No... I have better ones like sexy beast," I told him and smirked, wrapping my arms around his waist. "Do you know anything about what adults do?" I asked him playfully. Let's see how much he knows.

"Sure," he said and blushed. "Everything."

"Oh?" I asked and smirked. I bet he's faking. I leaned in and kissed his lips, pulling his waist closer to me as I pushed my tongue into his mouth. He gasped and started to suck on my tongue then. I moaned and started to push him up against the side of the tub, closing my eyes as I tilted my head and deepened the kiss. He pulled back from the kiss and gave me a sweet look.

"We're having a bath, remember?" He asked me. I watched him then kissed his chin lightly. Yeah... I should back off a bit.

"I remember," I purred softly then pulled back from him, moving away from his body. He's almost just died and here I am jumping his bones already instead of letting him figure things out. He gave me a huge smile before wrapping his arms around me and started to purr. I laughed and grabbed his arms, taking them from around me. "No, we're taking a bath." He gasped and gave a small pouting face before moving back in to hug me. I gasped and grabbed his hands, giving them a squeeze. "B-a-t-h," I spelled out at him, rubbing his knuckles. He sighed and pulled away from me and eyed me over longingly before grabbing the conditioner bottle. I laughed and sat back in the tub, watching him with a smirk. "The quicker you get done, the quicker you can curl up to me," I teased him. He nodded before starting to condition his hair- being quick about it before scooping up some of the bubbles and blew them at me. I smirked as I watched him and slowly started to sneak over to him, giving a small growl as I exposed my fangs. He gasped and ducked under the water to rinse his hair. I smirked and snatched him, pulling him to the surface and lifted him up onto the edge of the tub by the wall. "Caught~" I told him and winked, kissing his knee then pushed his legs apart as I leaned in towards his inner thigh and kissed it. He gasped and widened his eyes at me- his heart starting to race in his chest as he watched me. I smirked and looked up at him, licking up a little further on his leg then kissed it as I playfully moaned. He yelped a little and rubbed at his chest then.

"Dante," he whispered and looked pained. "My chest hurts." I tensed and pulled back from his leg, looking up at him in worry.

"Take a deep breath," I told him and pulled him off the side of the tub and into my arms. "You just need to steady your heart." Shit... he's still recovering a lot. I can't get his heart racing too bad just yet.... No sex until later. I rubbed his cheek gently and gave his lips a small kiss. "It's okay. Deep breaths. The pain will fade." He nodded and buried his face into my neck as he let out a small whine. I watched him and ran my fingers through his hair, trying to sooth him. What if this persists though? I frowned and gently kissed his forehead, starting to rock him. My blood might help. "You can have some of my blood if you need it," I whispered into his ear. He bit down into my neck suddenly and started to drink my blood. I rubbed his head and sighed softly, leaning back against the tub as I looked towards the wall. I shouldn't have gotten so touchy just yet.... That's too much for someone who lost their memories and almost died. He pulled away after a few minutes and looked a little calmer now. I smiled at him then rubbed his lips clean before I hugged him tightly. He purred a little and buried his face into my chest.

"I love you," I purred at him and leaned in, giving him a small kiss. "My little Heinrich~" He looked up at me and gave a huge smile before leaning in and stole a kiss from me. I laughed and kissed him back then pulled away. "Cutie," I murmured then grabbed the body soap, starting to wash him up as I kept him in my arms. "You're one of the best things that has ever happened to me." I'm so glad he lived.... Losing him would have destroyed me. I can't believe I almost did. I hugged him tightly as I finished up then rinsed his body off for him, holding him close. "Are you tired yet?" I asked him softly as I rubbed his cheek. "We can go to bed, and you can curl up with me till nightfall," I murmured sweetly, kissing his neck. I know that's what he wants anyways.

"Yeah," he whispered and rubbed his eyes. "I feel like they're getting heavy," he told me and yawned like he was thinking hard about our bed. I laughed and got us out of the tub, setting his feet down on the floor and got him a towel. After I dried us off, I scooped him back up and took him out to the bed and placed him down on it gently, getting under the covers with him.

"Well, try to get some rest. We'll get some good sleep, and tonight, I'll show you more of the castle. You might remember something if you see it all," I suggested and pulled him into my arms, curling him up to me.

"Okay," he said sweetly towards me and wrapped his arms around me. "I can't wait to see more of the castle," he whispered.

"I know," I told him and purred at him, giving him a small kiss. "Listen, I'm going to be right here if you wake up while we're sleeping, okay?" I whispered and nuzzled my face into his neck. "Don't be afraid to wake me."

"Okay," he said and eyed me over before giving a small smile. "I'll wake you up." I nodded and then kissed him again.

"Get some rest," I murmured and closed my eyes, smiling as I breathed in his scent. "I love you, Heinrich."

"I love you too," he said softly and gave me a loving look before looking at his hand with the ring on it and purred lightly before closing his eyes.

I shifted as I felt my body starting to wake up like night had fallen, my eyes opening slowly as I looked towards Heinrich's still sleeping body. "Hey," I whispered, pulling him closer to me with a small purr. I sat up a little and looked down at him before I tensed. Something is wrong.... His skin is too pale. I touched his cheek and froze up as I felt a chill in his skin. "Heinrich?" I whispered then put my hand over his chest. "Hey, wake up," I murmured and lightly jostled him. When he didn't move, I felt my stone pulse. Why isn't he waking up? I moved to his face and moved his eyelids open, peering down into his eyes then stiffened as they stared blankly back at me. "H-Heinrich," I whispered, jostling him again. No, no, no, no.... He can't not wake up. I felt my eyes start to sting as I sat up more, pulling his limp body into my lap. "This isn't funny, Heinrich," I said quickly, my voice trembling. "Wake up!" I watched as his head rolled back and his body fell against me. Oh my- He's... dead. My stone pulsed, sending a wave of pain through me as I held him in my arms. I've lost him....
