Richard's POV:
I purred as I looked outside a window from in Paris's study and rubbed my tummy, biting my bottom lip. I hope it worked. What if it didn't? I've never been the girl before! What if something is wrong with me as a girl and we don't know it yet.... I blushed and shrunk into the armchair I was sitting in and brought my knees up to my chest, playing with my dark black hair. I only recently became a girl too.... I think Paris and I have only done it about three times since I've become a girl? Three? Is that right? The whole night and morning have been a blur for me. I just remember Donnie leaving... and then Paris and me... and then I became a girl... and then there was some more... and now it's morning....
"RICHARD! PARIS!" I heard Laurence yell out in a song-like voice. "I HAVE NEWS!" I tensed then got to my feet quickly, rushing for Laurence's voice out in the hallway.
"LAURENCE~" I laughed and scooped him up into my arms and hugged him, kissing his forehead then purred. "There you are! What's your news?" I asked him sweetly and bounced him a little in my arms as I held him. Paris appeared then and eyed us over before smiling.
"It's about you~" Laurence explained before smirking and winked. "You're having a girl." I widened my eyes then.
"A-a girl?" I asked him then felt my stone pulse. I gave him a small squeeze before I giggled and looked towards Paris in excitement. I'm going to give him a princess! We'll be able to dress her up and pamper her, and she'll be perfect! I purred and kissed the top of Laurence's head quickly. "Is she pretty?"
"Of course, she is~! But you're not going to like what else I have to show you," he muttered before unfolding a newspaper in his hands and showed us a record of an HAHQ being established in our town. Hunters Association's Head Quarters... Paris frowned as he saw the record and favorite headliner of the paper.
"They've made a nest," Paris hissed out in anger before looking at me and frowned slightly- looking uncertain then. "Richard..." I frowned and hissed at him quickly.
"Don't look at me like that," I said and dropped Laurence. I don't like that look. "Paris, we can go to Canada again."
"Here is dangerous now," he whispered softly to me.
"They're nesting everywhere with these," Laurence told us and showed a list of more places they were showing up- big countries like France, Russia, Italy, Canada, America, England, Japan, China, and etcetera.
"Richard," Paris whispered softly. "We can't take the chance," he said quickly. I frowned at him and rubbed my stomach then looked him over.
"We can go to Australia," I whispered and felt my breath catch in my throat. "We can go to the Canary Islands. We'll find somewhere."
"Laurence?" Paris asked softly. Laurence gave a frown then. Paris looked at me then. "We can't," he told me. "We can't let our world be overrun by this," he hissed out and pointed at the paper. "Look at that... If we're going to do anything it should be now," he eyed me over then. "But we can't risk hurting you or the baby and I can't do it without you. Even then.... what if they retaliate and find you then harm her? Like our unborn child," he whispered and then rubbed my stomach. "Our moves are for her safety." I smacked his hand away from my stomach quickly and hissed, backing up.
"Ask Louis to help," I told him and frowned. "Ask the council. Ask anyone."
"Richard," he said softly before frowning. "This is for our daughter. We need to come to a decision together on what to do. Anything for her right?" He asked. "We'll place her someplace safe until she can come back to us grown up and able to defend herself. We can't raise a baby with a tense air around us. We'll be on edge daily dreading the day they come in and raid us and possibly hurt her. That's not healthy for a baby." I frowned at him then rubbed my stomach. But she's ours....
"You want me to give her up?" I asked and tensed as I looked at him. "You just want me to throw her away? She's ours!" I hissed and then huffed before I went back into his study and slammed the door behind me.
"Richard! For her safety you will do what's right for her and place her with someone to raise her away from all this." I frowned and sat back down in my armchair then looked at my stomach. I'm actually pregnant and I'm not even going to get to enjoy raising her... not with what he wants.... She'll never know who I am. She'll hate us.
"She won't hate us," Paris said as he appeared by me. "She's our daughter and will love us when she comes home. She'll understand why we done it- all for her. We don't want to take the chances of losing her." I frowned and looked towards him then reached out and grabbed his hand.
"Paris, where would we even put her?" I mumbled. "I'm pregnant. If you take me from her, she might die."
"We'll take you out carefully and keep the woman you're in alive and heal her up then send her back to wherever she came from to raise our daughter with the thoughts she got raped in an alley or something," he suggested. "Or we can find someone rich and make them think they did it and thus our daughter was born, and we'll make sure they support her and marry each other to keep her financially happy. We'll make sure she gets a good home." I frowned and pulled my hand away from him then curled up.
"We just got her," I mumbled and looked away from him. "I won't even get to raise her."
"Quit being selfish," he snapped. "Her life matters most to us as much as Donnie's life. Now we'll take good care of her by giving her a chance to live without being paranoid of the monsters with big scary weapons that come once a month." I frowned and looked back at him.
"Of course, I want her to live," I told him sharply. "If it was you pregnant, you'd be upset too," I hissed then exposed my fangs.
"But I wound understand," he said and frowned. "We've already lost one son... don't put a daughter on the list with it. If I could have known I would have made it possible to give my twins a life together instead of one six feet under." I frowned at him then sunk into my seat.
"I want a few days," I whispered and rubbed my stomach. "Just give me that at least."
"The clock is ticking," he told me. "I'll make preparations for it by looking into a suitor for her...." He trailed off as he eyed me over. "We'll visit her in secret when she's sleeping and watch her grow up into a beautiful princess." I looked at him then tapped my foot before I brought my feet up into the seat and hugged my knees.
"We better, or I'll be really pissed." He gave my cheek a kiss before disappearing. I frowned and looked at where he had been standing then looked towards the window again before I got to my feet and started for the doors. I can't believe it's coming to this. I didn't even pick out a name before Laurence dropped Paris the clue to tell me to give her up. He could have waited a week. I glanced towards where Laurence had been when I walked out into the hall then rubbed my stomach again. I just had sex for her... and she's not even going to be mine. I tensed and felt my eyes sting before I walked down the hall quickly. Is there really no place we can go? Are the hunters really everywhere? What about California? What about Mexico? Brazil? We could move around, couldn't we? I went towards my music room but froze when I passed by mine and Paris's hall then looked down it as I tensed then teared up. I didn't even pick a nursery yet... and now I don't get to do that with them.
"Awe," Laurence said as he walked up from behind me. "Don't cry. You'll see her again," he promised me. "She's going to have a much safer life growing up away from what's about to come." I frowned and looked at him then quickly wiped at my eyes.
"Couldn't you have waited a week?" I whispered. "A week of letting me think I'd keep her?"
"No... The longer I waited the harder it would have been to convince you to let her go," he told me. I frowned then reached for him, scooping him up into my arms.
"I won't even feel her kick," I grumbled then walked past my hall quickly. "I'm going to kill every single one of those hunters for this."
"What's the fun in killing them all though?" He asked me and smirked. "Besides we both know they're all not that bad." He chuckled lightly and then winked at me. "The Ainsworths for example." I frowned at him then.
"They're probably the ones responsible for the whole mess of hunters showing up here! I'm losing my kid, Laurence!"
"There's more to come," he promised. I frowned at him then kissed the top of his head. I'll just make Laurence sleep in my arms for the next fifteen years.
"You wouldn't dare! I have my own things to do!"
"I don't know why you're complaining," I told him then exposed my fangs. "You're small enough."
"I'm busy most of those nights."
"Doing what?" I asked and frowned, holding him closer. "If I can't have my girl, then you'll sleep in her place."
"In a crib? No thanks but I do have my own other partners to sleep with."
"You don't have a sex life," I told him and frowned then sniffed him. Yup, no mark. "You're too little," I muttered. "Besides, don't you want to cuddle with me?"
"I'll drop by here and there for a cuddle," he promised. "But I have my own cuddle buddies lined up to get to."
"You don't have any," I told him stubbornly. "Besides~" I walked into my music room, throwing the door open. "You should stay here to spend time with Paris."
"I'll be around," he told me quickly. "If I'm needed, I'll show up if I think it's a good idea to." He smirked at me. "I can't stay here all the time. I have my own country." I frowned and sat down at my piano then looked him over, running my fingers through his hair.
"Why can't Paris ask Louis to help him? I could go to Transylvania with her to raise her... and the twins could fight here. He'd come visit."
"You're not worried for your mate?" He asked me and frowned. "Where's the war hungry Richard I know? You're his warrior and you know it. Especially his general. He can't fight without you and Louis isn't in a friendly mood anyways."
"What do you mean he's not in a friendly mood?" I asked and tensed quickly. It has been awhile since Louis has visited last. "Maybe he's busy." He's right though.... I couldn't leave Paris here. The guns have gotten so much more advanced, and if something happened to him, I'd kill myself.
"He's busy," Laurence told me softly. "I think letting her live away from this is the best idea." I eyed him over then nodded slightly.
"Y-you're right.... If she grew up in this, she wouldn't be innocent. She would be afraid of everything," I whispered. "And... if I did carry her, I wouldn't be able to fight. I would wind up being locked up, and that wouldn't be good for any of us."
"You know you wouldn't like any of that," he told me and smirked. He sighed then. "I have to get going~ I want to visit Rose." I growled and tightened my grip on him.
"You just got here~" I smirked at him then and gave him a playful look. "Rose can wait another thirty minutes."
"No, she can't she needs my advice. She's designing a new room!" I sighed and let him go.
"Okay, just because it's Rose," I purred softly. "Give her my best wishes, will you?"
"She certainly needs them," he chuckled out and gave a knowing look about something. I raised an eyebrow then kissed the top of his head.
"Well then get going," I purred out. "I'll go check on Paris and make sure he's okay."
"Oh, he's fine. He's got his newborns snooping around the town for him already for that special suitor." He waved it off then. "You should pick out a name," he told me and pointed a finger at me. "Think of the letter..." He trailed off before disappearing on that note. I frowned and watched him go then looked towards the piano. Name.... I guess I could. I could ask Paris to compel the woman to keep the name I pick out. I smirked a little then ran my fingers over the piano keys. He would do that for me if I asked him. We'll be able to keep track of her if we name her too... and I'll know she's mine when I see her again. I purred then got to my feet. I kind of like the letter M.... Myra. That's pretty. I giggled then looked down at my stomach. "Myra," I murmured then smiled before I looked at the piano and pulled the cover over the keys. "PARIS! I'M NAMING HER MYRA!"
I walked over to the door and sniffed him out, going down the halls till I found him then snatched him to me by his shirt. "We're naming her Myra. We'll compel her to keep the name," I told him then kissed him. "I'll let you take me from her. It's safer for her this way, and I don't want her to get hurt. You're right. We're too easy to spot. They'll come here and shoot this place up and maybe hurt her. I want what's best for her... and I want to help you kick their asses." I smirked and then kissed his neck. "You're going to need me. I'm your damn general, and we do everything together, got it mister?"
"It's about time you got on my side," he purred out and kissed me quickly. He pulled back then and eyed me over. "Myra? That's a pretty name. What if Myra is a male though? Laurence sometimes gets things wrong. We'll need a male name on the slight chance." I frowned and thought it over then purred.
"Spencer?" I whispered.
"Spencer?" He asked softly. "That'll do it..." He trailed off and gave a small purr. "We'll have to watch over her sometimes and then whisk her off her feet back to our castle in the sky~! We'll also make sure she gets the blood she needs." I nodded and purred, kissing his chest.
"So, we'll still take care of her? Just... not all the time and constantly there," I said and then looked up at him with a huge, loving smile. "At least we're not going to be gone completely. We'll have to compel them to not move away either. We don't want to lose her." I purred and leaned in towards his neck and bit down quickly, drinking his blood.
"We'll find the perfect temporary father for her," he promised. I purred and marked him then before I jumped up and wrapped my legs around his waist, putting my arms around his neck. He gasped a little and eyed me over before purring. 'Richard~" I laughed and looked at him before I smirked and kissed him, getting his blood on his lips.
"Don't you want to hold your mate, Paris?" I asked and smirked, playing with his hair before I leaned in towards his ear and started to suck on his earlobe as I tightened my legs around his waist so I wouldn't fall. He held onto me and carried me off then towards our bedroom.
"When will you be ready to let this body go?" He asked softly. I bit my bottom lip and moved my face into his neck.
"When you have the new father," I whispered. "I want him here first... so that way you can compel the two of them and send them off together. I think I want it to be he got drunk and met her at a party then one thing led to another and he's madly in love with her. I want her to grow up with love all around her and the appearance of two parents who would live for each other and their little girl. I'll let you take me out as soon as he's here... and as soon as you'll be ready to protect this body from dying and killing Myra."
"Right... when all the preparations are made. I need to get to it then." He slowly placed me down then as he came to a stop. I frowned and looked him over then grabbed his hand quickly, looking up at him.
"The newborns can only work so fast," I told him and then leaned in for a kiss. "They'll bring you back candidates... and we'll choose out of that." Maybe I can steal his compulsions and help him compel the father. I've never done it before though....
"I know but I need to prepare for the other half of making this a safe transition." I nodded then.
"You should have Rose come over to help you," I told him and frowned. "An extra pureblood around will be helpful... and she became a doctor. She can help you keep this body alive so you can heal her.... Actually, why don't you have Rose heal her- feed her blood as soon as I'm out. It'll make it less stressful for you, and no one would get hurt. If something goes wrong, there's two to fix it, not just you."
"That's a good idea. I'll ask her," he said and gave a small smile. "She'll enjoy getting to do something medical." I purred and nodded, leaning in for a kiss.
"We'll go see her and ask then~" I told him then went to jump back on him with a giggle, wrapping my legs around his waist. "Later~"
"Why not right now?" He asked in amusement. I smirked and leaned in towards his neck.
"Because I want to shove you down on our bed and show you what I can do," I purred out then started to give him a love bite.
"Nooooo," he told me playfully. "You're just hormonal." He smirked before sitting me back down. "We'll get you some blood." I frowned and then shoved him against the wall. I'll do it right here then. I unzipped his pants then slipped my hand down into his boxers as I kissed his chest. He gasped and snatched my hand quickly. "Richard!" He shouted and blushed. He spun me around quickly to face away from him. "You're a lady now," he reminded me and kissed my neck. "Save it for our bedroom," he purred out into my ear.
"Then get in there," I purred right back and smirked, looking over my shoulder at him then kissed him quickly before he could pull his face away from me. "And I'm not a lady. I'm a woman~ A sexy ass woman who will pin you down if you don't go where you're supposed to." He blushed and looked away from me before starting for our bedroom. I smirked and started to follow him, purring as I eyed him over. Whipped. He walked into our bedroom obediently and turned to look back at me. I walked in and shut the door then purred, walking over to him and pushed him down onto the bed then crawled over him. "You're so whipped~"
"I am not," he gasped out and eyed me over. I purred and leaned in, giving him a kiss before I eyed him over then got off.
"Strip for me, lover boy," I purred and curled up with his pillow, holding back a laugh as I watched him. "Give me a little dance~"
"What?" He asked and frowned before getting up on the bed. "You're asking for it," he said in a warning tone.
"Am not," I purred and giggled as I squeezed his pillow to my chest. "You don't want to be sexy, Paris?"
"I am sexy," he told me as he looked down at me. "You're needy," he muttered and then pulled his shirt up slowly. I blushed slightly as I looked towards his shirt then squeezed the pillow in my arms.
"I am not needy," I mumbled. Maybe asking him to strip wasn't a good idea.... This is Paris. He'll get me back for it later. I sat up then bit my bottom lip before I looked up at him. He pulled it off and tossed it on top of my head then. I gasped as I caught his scent then pulled it off my head before I smelled it and purred loudly then looked at him, going to yank him down to me. "Kiss~" I purred sweetly and gave him a loving look, my stone pulsing at him. He smirked and pulled back.
"Stripping," he told me. I frowned and grabbed his pants, yanking him down.
"You're such a tease," I told him then pushed him down onto his back, getting over him. "I'd bend you over if I was a male~" I leaned down and kissed him then purred as I wrapped my arms around him.
"You're a female though," he reminded me and kissed me sweetly. I laughed and nodded then kissed his neck.
"I know," I whispered then looked him over before I leaned in towards his lips and kissed him deeply, pressing my tongue into his mouth and purred as I pushed his unzipped pants down. He kissed my cheek before grabbing my hands and tsked.
"Richard you're not trying to distract me from something are you?" He asked. I frowned and sat up on him, looking down into his eyes.
"Do you think I'm hiding something from you?" I asked and looked him over. "What would I hide from you? You're my mate, Paris. I wouldn't hide something from you. You're my other half. I belong to you and you belong to me. I'm not going to keep things from you unless it was really important like what I got you for your birthday~ I love you so much...." He smiled sweetly at me before giving my cheek a kiss.
"I know you're a good mate." I purred and then kissed his neck.
"If you're not in the mood, we can do this later," I whispered to him then sighed softly. "I'm not going to force you into this."
"I wasn't. You're needy," he laughed out and kissed my forehead. I purred and looked at him then kissed his neck again.
"I'm your needy little mate though," I teased him then got off him quickly, stretched then walked towards the closet to find something to wear other than the baggy clothes I had on now. I frowned as I walked in and glanced our clothes over then leaned against the wall. I guess I won't be having to go find girly clothes for me to wear.... I won't be like this long. I bit my bottom lip then rubbed my stomach. I wish the hunters weren't here. I heard him shuffling to get his clothes back on in the bedroom. I glanced towards the door then started to strip. "Paris, can we do it tomorrow?" I called out as I went over to my clothes and started to pull on a shirt and a pair of pants. I bent over and rolled my pant legs up so they wouldn't be under my feet.
"Maybe," he told me softly. I walked out to him, leaving my shoes off then grabbed his hand as soon as I was by him.
"I love you," I whispered then looked down at my stomach before I rubbed it gently.
"I love you too," he whispered to me and gave my hand a squeeze. I pulled my gaze back up to him then nodded.
"I know you do," I told him then leaned in and kissed him. "Maybe... one day in the future, we can try this again," I whispered. "In the long... long future."
"We will," he promised me quietly. "Even if we have to move planets." I laughed at that and looked up into his eyes before I wrapped my arms around his neck then kissed him.
"I wish that my first time wasn't happening like this. I would have loved to have seen your face when she began to kick," I whispered then moved my face into his neck.
"I know...." He trailed off and frowned as he looked disappointed. 'I'll just have to make you give me another child when it's safer." I nodded then clung to him.
"When it's safer in the next century," I told him then pulled away, looking around our room. "We'll have to take care of everything first." I rubbed my cheek and frowned. He kissed my cheek before walking out of our bedroom then.
"DONNIE!" He called out for him. "I KNOW YOU'RE HOME! QUIT BEING A SHUT IN AND COME SEE ME!" I widened my eyes then. Donnie is home? WHY DIDN'T HE COME SAY SOMETHING TO ME?! I growled and went after Paris quickly.
"DONNIE! COME SAY HI TO YOUR FATHER! HOW COME YOU DIDN'T COME SEE ME?!" I growled out and sniffed the air for my son. "YOU PUNK!" Paris smirked before taking my hand and teleported us into Donnie's bedroom he has here. He looked up from a book he was reading and frowned before getting up quickly.
"MOM! DAD! This is an invasion of my privacy!" He yelled out. I heard the toilet flush in the bathroom off his room before the man we caught to feed him came out but stopped and blushed as he saw us.
"Donnie, what are they doing in here?" He asked and frowned then looked towards Donnie. "You got today's newspaper, right?" Donnie looked at him and twitched his eyebrow.
"I'm not your dog. Go get it yourself," he told him sharply before looking back at us. "Alright, outside and knock," he told us firmly. I tsked and walked over to him, sitting down in his chair then yanked him down into my lap.
"I'm your father. I don't have to do that," I grumbled and kissed his cheek. The man looked me over and frowned before he laid down in Donnie's bed and curled up.
"You know it's a good idea though or it'll make me cranky," Donnie told me before looking at Paris. "Are you two done seeing me? I was reading a good book."
"No," I said sharply and held onto him tightly. I leaned in towards his neck and kissed it then bit in playfully. He yelped and pushed me back quickly.
"Dad! Don't bite me!" He hissed out. I purred and licked my lips and eyed him over then leaned in and licked his neck clean. I heard the man huff over on the bed.
"Gross," he mumbled.
"Shut up," Donnie hissed at him. "You have no room to talk. You like it." The man blushed and sat up quickly then rubbed his neck.
"D-do not," he stuttered out then looked away nervously. I could hear his heart beating a mile a minute. I smirked and loosened my hold on Donnie, looking towards the man curiously. Cute for a human blood bag.
"He's not that cute," Donnie told me before smirking. "Have you seen the human models?" He hoped out of my lap and walked up to his nightstand and grabbed a magazine before turning it open to a page where a man was modeling a tux. "He's cute," he told me and licked his lips. I gasped and snatched it from him, looking at the magazine. Damn, he is cute~ I purred as I eyed over the tux on him and smirked. I should get Donnie a model. He'd love me to pieces~ I glanced towards the male's features and giggled as I looked his body over. He threw the magazine at the human on the bed then.
"No. I don't want a human. I've got one already," he looked at his blood bag then. "I want something else." I raised an eyebrow at him then.
"Something else? Well, nothing is stopping you from looking for something else, and if your human's looks don't suit you, eat him and I'll get you another," I told him and tossed my legs over the chair. The human widened his eyes as he looked from me to Donnie then shrunk back, getting quiet as he hid his neck by pulling his shirt up.
"Oh, I won't do that. It'll be boring then. I like hearing his worried thoughts every second you tell me to eat him. It makes it more exciting." I laughed then and grinned, flashing my fangs at him.
"Is he really that worried about his life? He's not willing to throw it away to feed you yet?" I asked then eyed over his blood bag, watching as he yelped and then dove under the blankets.
"I don't want to die! No one would throw their life away like that!" He said under the blankets, tightening them around him.
"His blood doesn't taste good enough anyways for me to drink it all in one sitting. I'd get bored of it too quickly." Donnie rubbed his jaw before smirking a bit. "Aunt Rose has something she wants to tell you."
"Really? Does it have something to do with that room that Laurence mentioned her designing?" I asked and sat up, looking towards him in interest. "What is she up to?" I bet she's getting a room put together for a kitten or something. She still doesn't have her mate. She must be lonely and becoming a cat lady.
"No, but we should get her a cat," Donnie said in excitement. "Victor got a baby fox- I bet he's a big boy now and can transform into a bigger handful." I raised an eyebrow at him. I thought Victor went to go get the fox yesterday? What does he mean transform into a bigger handful? Did he get one that was too young to transform into a human?
"Yeah, when we bought him, he wasn't old enough to transform into a human," Donnie told me and shrugged as he started for his book. I nodded then smacked his hand, snatching the book out of his reach.
"So, what does she have to tell us, Donnie?" I purred out and sat the book in my lap.
"Go ask her yourself," he told me and shrugged. I frowned then tossed him his book before I got up and went over to Paris.
"Well we had to go see her anyways to ask her to help you with taking me out of this body," I said and grabbed his hand. "We might as well find out from her own lips what her news is."
"Have fun," Donnie told us as he snatched his book and turned it open. I looked at him then tsked before I looked at Paris and gave his hand a squeeze and teleported us myself for once in my long existence. I dropped his hand once we were back in our old bedroom then whistled, going out into the hallway.
"ROSE~ What's this news?!" I called out and laughed, walking towards her room.
"DOWN HERE!" I heard Rose shouting from outside the castle toward the garden. Paris walked up to me before teleporting us down to her. She was digging up a few dead flowers and planting them with a few servants. I giggled as I saw her then ran up.
"So~ What's the news and I'll tell you mine," I told her and knelt down, yanking her into my arms then kissed the top of her head. Victor appeared a few feet away then tensed, spotting Paris before he disappeared quickly.
"What news?" She asked and blushed. "I don't have any news," she said quickly.
"Victor's here?" Paris asked and frowned. I frowned and looked at him.
"Was here. Is it just me, or did it seem like he saw you and turned tail and fled?"
"Either that or he left something behind," Paris muttered before looking at Rose. "Is there something you're hiding? Donnie said you had news for us."
"Why would Donnie go and say a thing like that?" She asked innocently.
"Well... he was with Victor yesterday," I said and frowned at her then looked towards Paris then at her. "You'll tell us eventually. Look, we need you to do something for us. I need you to help Paris take me out of this body in a few days. This woman needs to live. She has my baby," I told her softly. "Laurence said it was too dangerous for us to keep it ourselves." She frowned then and eyed me over.
"Okay," she said softly and looked between us. "Laurence was just by and didn't mention anything about it being too dangerous to keep a child."
"Well he had no reason to tell you," I told her and then sighed. "We're going to have this woman raise Myra until it's safer. There's too many hunters around in Maine for us to keep Myra with us."
"That's terrible, come home," she suggested. "Your bedroom is always welcomed to you both."
"He said they were everywhere," I told her and frowned. "If we came here, they might find Myra anyways and hurt her. I already tried to convince Paris and Laurence to let me keep her and move, but Laurence says the hunters have gotten really organized."
"New weapons... they're smarter," Rose told us and hummed softly. "I just hope they learn their boundaries." I nodded.
"Anyways, we'll get Myra back after Paris and I clean up the hunters and make it safe again," I purred to her. "We just thought you would like to help Paris keep the woman alive during the process of removing me. So, what's your news? Why'd Victor show up here? Have you two been hanging out?" I teased her and nudged her playfully. Paris's eyes widened slightly like he had thought of something before walking up and smelled Rose.
"Victor!" He let out a growl then before disappearing. The heck?
Victor's POV:
I frowned as I held my fox in my arms and sat up against the headboard of my bed. Damn it. Paris was there. I can't go see Rose if he's there. He'd kick my ass if he found out. Paris appeared in front of me then and eyed me over before smirking wickedly.
"Victor... you're not trying to avoid me, are you?" He asked. I tensed then gave him a huge smile. Oh look, Paris.
"Nope~" I snatched a bottle of vodka off my nightstand and purred, holding it out to him. "Want a sip?"
"No thank you," he said as he calmly stepped up onto my bed and started walking towards me slowly. "Victor do you want to tell me something?" He asked calmly. "Something that has to do with my baby sister?"
"Nope," I said and looked him over then kissed the top of my fox's head. "How's things with Richard?" I asked quickly then got out of my bed, going towards my closet. "Let me get changed into something more comfortable," I purred out and shut the door behind me quickly to block him from following.
"Victor," he called out. "You better not be doing anything with my sister," he warned.
"Like what?" I asked and then walked over to my clothes, looking them over. "I took her and Donnie to ballet last night if that's what you're wondering." Like hell I'm going to tell him everything.
"What?" He asked quickly and was in here suddenly in front of me. "What's everything?" He asked and backed me up against the wall. I frowned and then looked him over before I slipped past him.
"Not in front of my baby~" I teased him and smirked, going back towards my clothes. "Let's go out for drinks~ You're in Russia, Paris. Time to find out what happens in our bars."
"You did something with her," he hissed out. "You're avoiding the subject," he hissed out. "You did! I could smell your mark on her." I purred then and grabbed one of my shirts, throwing it at Paris and got him with it in the face.
"So, what if I did mark her~ Marks happen sometimes on accident. No need to jump to conclusions~" Though the sex was wonderful. I purred as I remembered it and smirked at the thought. Rose was amazing~ He tackled me suddenly and snarled a little.
"VICTOR! MY SISTER IS A LADY!" He shouted at me and looked pissed then. "YOU'RE SUPPOSE TO PROPERLY COURT HER!" I laughed and put my fox aside then looked at him, exposing my fangs playfully.
"I did- for the past few centuries. You've been paying too much attention to Richard," I teased him. "I just never got this close to her till now. She loved the ballet last night, and she's been lonely, and I like her." My baby fox ran off towards my shelfs and climbed up onto one and eyed over a shoe on it and growled playfully.
"You're not going to date her any longer," he told me firmly. I frowned at him then shoved him off.
"I'll do what I want," I growled out at him. "I'll only leave when she tells me to. You may be Paris and an old friend of mine, but you're not going to come between me and a lover of mine." I exposed my fangs at him then narrowed my eyes. "Now this is my castle. Behave."
"She's my sister," he gasped out. "You two aren't even soul mates." I tsked at him then and tapped him on the nose.
"You don't have to be soul mates to love one another," I told him sharply. "We both don't have our soul mates, and she already said that she was fine with me. You don't want to make her cry, do you?"
"She's not going to cry. She's a tough female and will date who I approve of and since you're my oldest and dearest friend I said no."
"You should be glad it's your oldest and dearest friend and not Dante. Dante has become a bit of an ass lately, and his castle is a lot closer to hers than mine is," I told him and then purred at him. "You'll just have to put-up with-it Paris." I got to my feet then and hummed, snatching my fox up then stepped over him, going to the door. He got up and started after me.
"Victor I advise you to stop it now," he told me quickly. "She's my sister."
"Guess I'll see you at Christmas," I purred at him then went to my bed and put my fox down then turned to face him. "Drinks?" I smirked and yanked him close to me. "We should go."
"Victor," he whined out. "Why're you dating my sister? What happened to brother code. I'm not dating yours."
"I don't have one for you to date, and Richard would eat you both if you did date my little sister if I had one," I told him and smirked. "Now~ quit bugging me or I'll just have to get you really, really drunk and lock you up in my basement."
"Don't you even dare lock me up somewhere! You're in big trouble," he warned me. I purred at him then rubbed his head.
"No, I'm not~ Now put up with it, Paris," I purred to him. "I like your sister, and she likes me. Of course, I ran from you though. I didn't want you to kill me on the spot." I gestured towards the flowers in the vase next to the bottle of vodka on the nightstand. "I couldn't very well let you catch me with those, could I? You'd have glared me to death." He sent me a small glare.
"I thought you were family," he muttered. "Now you're stealing my little girl from me." I frowned and looked him over then walked over.
"Paris... this isn't a bad thing," I told him and pulled him into my arms. He's that upset? "Rose and I have been friends for a long time," I purred softly and leaned in, kissing his cheek. "I'm still your friend. I would kill for you, Paris. Just point in the direction of your enemies, and I'll wipe them out. We fought together in the revolution, and I helped try to find Richard for you. I protected him and you the best I could. You don't want me to hurt Rose, do you? If I leave her now, she'll be distraught- so upset that she'll probably kill the both of us. I don't want to hurt her. I like her. She's not little anymore, and she's your sister, not your daughter." I kissed his neck then and rubbed his shoulders. "Don't be so upset, Paris.... Not with me, please. We're old friends. Richard and I are drinking buddies. It would be a shame if you stayed angry."
"I raised her up though," Paris muttered. "She's supposed to stay my little girl forever."
"Well she's not going to stay your little girl forever. What you need is another little girl," I purred to him then pulled back to give him a smirk. "Did you and Richard start that yet? Trying for a baby? Or is Richard still male?" I'll need to know this anyways so that way I can either take Richard out or take Paris out for drinks. I can't if Richard is currently trying to carry Paris's child.
"Master~" A young male- Valkry- came in dressed in his black butler uniform. He smiled as he spotted me then walked up to me. "Sir, if it's not much of a bother, we found you an architect to help you build the new home you wanted. He's got his own team put together already of builders and interior designers. He says he'd love to do the job." I smirked and nodded to him.
"I'll see him in a little bit. Serve him some vodka, Valkry- dig the bottle up from a few years ago." Valkry nodded then whistled cheerfully, walking out of the room. I looked back to Paris and purred. "When my new home is done, would you like to come visit it? I plan to make it state of the art for this era. It'll be over on the other side of Russia so that way I can rule Russia more affectively by having two places to stay at."
"Sure," Paris sighed out and then sent me a small glare. He looked to be deep in thought then, giving me a suspicious look, a few times before clearing his throat. "Victor, we're going to need a drink," He said finally as his expression lightened on his face. He then rubbed the back of his neck like he was guilty of something. "I think I owe you an apology old friend. You're a damn good man and I'm sorry for my reaction on finding out. If it had to be anyone, I'm very pleased to find it was you she's decided on choosing. I just couldn't help myself- she's my little sister and I got a little carried away about protecting her. Hell, if it was her soul mate, I probably would have scared him off," he told me and chuckled. "I guess I better tell you welcome to the family then. We're not just war brothers anymore." I purred and looked at him, slipping my hands into my pockets.
"You would have scared off any lesser man than me," I told him and gave a playful growl. "You know me well enough by now to know that I wouldn't hurt Rose. We'll have a drink together when Valkry gets back with that vodka I asked him to get then we'll get drunk and have lots of fun together~ Maybe we'll eat a small town~" Winking, I took a hand out of my pocket before I wrapped my arm around his shoulders and exposed my fangs. "What do you think? We could even invite Richard along. I'm sure he's starving for some blood. When was the last time he got to binge like he needs?" The answer to that is a very long time back before they went to go have this child of theirs. Back before Donnie even.
"He hasn't had any blood since he came back to me- he's been keeping his blood appetite under control," Paris told me as he gave it a thoughtful look. "He's being a very good mate."
"Well we could all use a break and go out to just feed together," I told him. "A strong vampire takes as much blood as they need, remember? One time feeding Richard like that shouldn't be too bad."
"I don't know..." He trailed off then as he thought about it. "He can't have too much. I don't want us fighting like the last time."
"You could watch him if you're really worried about him going back down that route," I purred in his ear then smirked.
"Watch him? He'll get angry if I sneak about it and watch him." He shook his head quickly.
"Tell him before we go that you're going to cut him off when he reaches a certain limit then. That's not sneaking around, and it's watching him. Look, one day he will blood binge again not through any fault of his own but just because he eats a lot more than us on average, and when that day comes, you two need to trust each other a lot more than you do now. You need to stop being afraid that he'll leave you again, and he has to trust that you'll always love him no matter what he is- whether that's a vampire, a binger, or a demon."
"I do love him. But it wasn't fair for him to be a demon. I had long quit sucking the life out of villages daily and that's when I realized he needed to stop."
"Mhmm, but the whole reason why he left in the first place was because you snuck behind his back to bring in someone else. You ditched him with them to have them cleanse him and washed your hands of the matter. You can't do that if it happens again. It has to be you who helps him- not a stranger. Purebloods don't like their stones being touched, and you brought in a vampire hunter. I'll admit, you didn't know he was a vampire hunter, but if he ever goes demonic again, you need to do it yourself and talk to him. He would probably submit to you if it was you asking and you asking alone for no other reason than you think it's time to not be demonic anymore."
"That's easy for you to say but you're not his lover, Victor. You should try it out sometime. You'll find it's hard to surprise him with a 'let's dump your stone in holy water and cleanse you' talk. Lovers aren't interested in that."
"Well, if you're not willing to take that risk with him again, then I guess I'll ask someone else to feed with me," I said and shrugged, taking my arm away from him. "I was only saying that you need to trust each other more, and hell, if you can't even trust your mate to feed and stop when you ask him to, then maybe you shouldn't feed with me. I'll ask Laurence and Rose." At their rate though, if Richard and him don't drink a lot of blood, they'll get weak. I know they probably drink small amounts daily, but Richard is a binger. He's not going to be as strong as he can be, and if there is another war of some sorts, they'll have to cross that bridge together, and obviously they aren't ready for that bridge again. Paris doesn't think they are ready, and if one doesn't think they are, then they shouldn't cross it at all. It'll be a disaster, and it'll be bye bye London bridge.
"That's fine, I wasn't wanting it anyways. I just want that drink," Paris told me.
"Of course," I told him and frowned, watching him. He really isn't like the old Paris who was bloodthirsty. I guess it is a new age huh? At least he still drinks. I walked towards my bedroom door, whistling as I opened it. Valkry should be getting back with that bottle... and if he's nearby, I can just take it and lead Paris somewhere else to drink it.
"I'm quite still the vampire I once was," Paris told me quickly. "I've always had the gift to heal myself from bringing and becoming a demon. I have self-control and I can easily give it up. I love blood but sometimes there are more important things instead to enjoy. Like my son."
"Your son is a full-grown man," I reminded him then smirked, looking back at him. "He doesn't need you mothering over him constantly. Watch out or he might get rebellious."
"He already is! He likes staying in his own house and reading his books." Paris shook his head and laughed. "He sure is a full-grown man though. He's already had one mate in his life."
"Exactly, don't mother him too much. You'll chase him off," I warned, pointing a finger his direction. "You remember what you were like before Richard got his hands on you. You don't want that for Donnie. You were way too innocent."
"He's not innocent, trust me," Paris said quickly. "He's got his father in him."
"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked and held back a laugh. Any child of Richard's probably couldn't wind up innocent.
"He might be a quiet man, but he's got a lot on his mind is all," Paris told me. "He's brilliant. He knows a lot for his age. Mostly thanks to his gift and he sure does have very adult like actions. He's not a little boy anymore and I sure can tell it. I miss it when he used to ask me to tuck him in and give him a kiss on the cheek and tell him a bedtime story." Well.... I frowned then. He's talking like he isn't going to have that baby he's been wanting....
"Paris... I know you and Richard were wanting a baby. What happened to that? Is Richard not a female?" I know they were starting to try. Donnie ran off from there to get away from having to hear their thoughts about each other because of that. "You're supposed to be having another."
"No," Paris told me and shook his head. "We can't have any right now. We're hiding our child away for its safety." The hell?
"Why would you do that? The baby is perfectly safe with you, isn't it? Can't you protect it?" I asked and tsked. They didn't seriously get rid of their child because of that, did they? If they were worried about not being able to protect it, they have tons of friends they could ask to come help them. I would've been over there to help if they had asked me.
"There's a lot of tension in the air with the hunters and it's just not a good time... We're going to keep our baby out of it and give it a good chance. A healthy pregnancy and a life where our baby won't be looking over its shoulder or under its bed constantly for bad people. We'll welcome our child home when things get better." What the hell?!
"You're Paris fucking Grimm," I hissed at him, narrowing my eyes. "You know you could protect a damn child. You killed your parents just to have your mate, and you helped kill the vampire king. You and Richard took down all the old monarchs, and now you think you can't even protect your own children? You're better than that. Not drinking blood has made both of you too soft in the head."
"Hey! Richard doesn't need to be stressing out and pregnant. That's not good for our baby or Richard. We know what we're doing. Neither of us like it but it's best for our baby. We're planning on taking care of the hunters while our child grows up safe from their reach. We're not going to be constantly worrying and stressing. We'll be busy trying to defend our territory." Sounds like they just didn't want to deal with hunters while having a kid around. I shook my head as I watched him then looked back out into the hall. They seriously have changed a lot. They aren't the same at all. The old Richard and Paris would have said fuck you to the world and kept that child and did everything. They wouldn't have stopped drinking blood either.
"We're not them anymore," Paris said softly. "We're parents now. One day you'll understand. When you love someone.... you'll change for the better." He walked up and placed a hand on my shoulder. "Like one day you might decide to stop drinking so much for my sister."
"You're being too damn soft," I hissed, looking at him. "Vampires have fangs for a reason. You fought a war for these changes so you could use your fangs and so you could have your mate, and now you're just going to lie back and let some stupid humans be the cause for the reason why you aren't going to keep your baby." How could they do that? They are strong enough to do what needs to be done and keep their kid, but they're choosing to toss their kid away. That doesn't sound strong. That doesn't sound like love to me. That sounds like their letting the world run them over and take away what's theirs. "Fine, you can do whatever the hell you want, but don't come crying to me when this blows up in your face Paris. You're not trusting yourself or Richard, and you know better. I know you know better. You're not trusting your friends either to be able to help you. You're being weak and a push over to those humans. You should just eat them all and raise your child like you were meant to." They don't need to have another baby at all until they get over this mess that they've gotten themselves into. They need to realize that they're going about this all wrong before they ever go to have another baby. This isn't healthy. I clenched my jaw as I watched him then looked away from him. Why the hell do I care? He's chosen to leave me out of it. He's chosen to leave all his friends out of it. He never once asked for our help in fighting the hunters off to help him keep his child. He made that decision on his own. What does it matter anymore anyways? He's already ripped Richard away from the baby. It's not like he can give the baby back to Richard safely.
"Let's go get that drink," I grumbled, grabbing his hand and starting to drag him down the hall. I can't believe him. He better come to his senses one day, or else he's going to find that this world of vampires is going to leave him behind, and Dante is going to kick his ass one day. Paris will have his fangs served to him on a silver platter from Dante if he doesn't watch his back and learn quickly that being weak like that isn't a good idea. He's not trusting his damn mate at all. He's not trusting Richard to have the strength to stay with him. He's not trusting his relationship, and it's going to blow up in his face like it did last time he doubted his relationship.
"Victor," Paris grumbled out before teleporting us into his manor's study and pushed me down at his desk before picking up a newspaper that had a few more under it. It was a recent dated copy. He showed me it then as he pointed to the headline. There was a HAHQ moved into his town and then records of more in familiar countries... One like mine. "Laurence brought this to me this morning. I would ask my friends to help us but... they're everywhere now. I imagine Laurence got this from one he dealt with." He pointed to the address of the newspaper being near Laurence's castle. "They've even set up near him. Hunters have gotten into our information somehow and know where we all are and are setting up these camps... to take us down I would imagine. One of the most powerful is right here in my hometown. My friends the Ainsworths have been providing them weapons I've never seen before. Weapons that can take us down in one shot. Of course, they only mean business, it's not personal. Still..." He trailed off as he looked at the stacks of newspapers. "If it's not these hunters then it's the black markets wanting to cradle rob." He pointed to another headline of a royal's baby missing. "We're scared to death for our child. When we conceived her, we were in a box of our own beauty... but I don't want to raise my child in a stressful environment. Richard is a damn good vampire, and I need him to pull this off. We already discussed it. If I were you, I would be worried about my own territory too." He gave a sad look as he looked out the window. "If I had paid more attention, we wouldn't even have tried to have her, but we wanted her so bad."
Paris's POV:
The phone on my desk started to ring then. I frowned and looked towards it- checking to see there were a few missed calls on it and Caden was calling me. "Look, one of the Ainsworths is calling me," I muttered before picking up the phone to answer it. "Caden?" I asked.
"Paris! I'm planning on grilling hamburgers and hot dogs tonight. How about you come on over with Richard?" He asked and sounded excited as I picked up.
"Tonight?" I asked and gave it a thoughtful look. "I'll bring Donnie, and he'll enjoy getting to see your oldest, Dylan." Victor frowned as he watched me and rubbed his cheek before he looked at the newspapers thoughtfully before he stole the page with his country on it and pocketed it.
"Hell," he muttered. "I'm going to have to look more into that and make sure they're not trying to find me. Building a new castle isn't going to help me run my country if I don't have a country to run."
"That's very true," I told him before smiling a bit. "I'll be over in a bit," I promised Caden before hanging up on him. "Why don't you go talk to Laurence," I suggested. He tsked and looked at me then got up out of the seat I had pushed him in.
"I want to get drunk. Come get drunk with me," he said and reached for my hand quickly, exposing his fangs. "We have vodka waiting on us."
"Okay," I purred and took his hand. I put the phone down and pulled him into a hug. He chuckled and playfully growled, biting down into my shoulder as he knocked us back against my desk quickly. I heard him make a small noise as he started to drink my blood, relaxing against me. I gasped a bit and sent him a small glare. Who does he think he is? I only let Richard bite me. He's going to be upset... I heard him start to purr as he pulled back and licked his lips, chuckling as he cleaned my blood off of him.
"Purebloods taste the best," he said and smirked, eyeing the bite wound over like he was about to go back for it again. I placed my hand over his lips quickly.
"Are you wanting to die today?" I asked curiously.
"Die?" He asked and looked at me in interest. "Why?"
"Richard will be jealous," I explained and blushed.
"Oh, I thought you were going to be the one to do it," he said and pushed my hand away from his lips, going back for my shoulder. I frowned and kicked him off me quickly and gave him a playful look. He smirked and tilted his head, his eyes lingering over me as a predatorial glint started to take over in them. He started for me slowly, growling under his breath as he watched my body closely for movements as he prowled. I teleported behind him quickly and kicked him in the butt- sending him straight into the floor and laughed as I watched him fall over. He yelped and turned around quickly, looking at me before he was in front of me in seconds, biting down into my neck as he snatched my hands. I gasped and squirmed- backing away from him and yanked my arms away from his. He hissed and came after me, his expression darkening as his eyes seemed to lose the light in them. "Paris," he growled out sharply, licking his lips. I felt like I was face to face with a starved lion the way he was looking at me. I widened my eyes and ran from him then- ditching the room and heading down the hall as fast as I could. I heard him snarl before he appeared in front of me, tackling me to the ground as he went for the other side of my neck- his white hair flashing in the light right in front of my eyes. I yelped before flipping us quickly and pinned him down under me.
"Victor," I hissed out. I know my blood is the best thing ever but damn... He kneed me between the legs and growled, going to flip us back and knocked us into a wall. The sheer force from the impact of the wall forced the breath to leave my lungs as he forced me up against it. I groaned and curled up quickly as I held my body and let out a shaky breath of pain. "V-Victor," I whined out. Owe! That was uncalled for. He relaxed a little as he heard me whine, pulling his fangs away as he looked towards me innocently while my blood dripped down his chin from his lips. "Don't kick me again down there. I'm actually using it you know." He licked his lips and purred at me, grabbing my arm and pulling me away from the wall.
"You'll heal," he told me and smirked. I frowned at him and shook my head. That jerk! You'll heal...
"Where's my apology?" He frowned and pulled me into his arms, hugging me.
"I was only hungry," he grumbled, kissing my cheek. "Though I didn't mean to be that forceful with you." I blushed and looked away from him quickly. I went to move away from him then. He kept a firm grip and smirked. "What? You scared because Richard can't pry you away from me? You afraid the big bad Russian is going to take every ounce of your blood?"
"I'm not scared," I told him firmly. Why would I fear him? I just don't want to lose my balls because he kicked them out of the ballpark.
"Why not?" He asked and ran his fingers along my neck slowly. I could feel his hot breath hitting it as he leaned in closer to it.
"Don't bite me," I growled out in a warning tone. He growled back and scrapped his fangs against my neck, but as soon as he went to bite, I heard my phone going off in my study. I teleported to it- ditching him as I snatched up the phone and answered it.
"Paris," I told the phone.
"Paris, what the hell are you doing back home? You disappeared after Victor when he showed up," I heard Richard growl out into the phone, his displeased tone hitting me hard. "You ditched me out here in France and went home without me, you bastard."
"Well I love you too," I told him and purred. "It's a long story. Basically, he's dating Rose and I flipped out a little," I told him.
"You still ditched me," he grumbled. "Damn, you think you would pay more attention to where you left me rather than go home. What if something happened to one of us?"
"You're fine," I promised. "I left you with my sister." He hung up then on me, an empty dial tone reaching me quickly. I frowned and looked at the phone before putting it down.
"Victor~!" I yelled out. "My mate is mad at me."
"Well, you left him, didn't you?" I heard him call out from in the hall.
"All thanks to you running away!"
"You were going to kill me on the spot! Speaking of which, let's go get that vodka and go back to collect Rose~!"
"I better go calm down my mate," I told him thoughtfully. He smirked as he appeared in the room in front of me then snatched my hand.
"Maybe that, or maybe we'll just slip him a drink," he teased me. We suddenly appeared in his castle in the basement where he snatched a bottle of vodka then teleported us to Rose's garden where I had left her working on it. "Rose~" He purred out, smirking as he looked down at her. "Your brother calmed down about us."
"Well it's a good thing. It's none of his business anyways," she told him and looked at us as she was pulling a few weeds out. He leaned down and kissed the top of her head.
"What are you doing weeding? You have servants to do that," he murmured to her softly, watching her. "Come play with me."
"I'm busy," she told him and frowned. "I like taking care of the garden. It's something I do when I'm not studying to be a doctor." He frowned and handed me the bottle of vodka, kneeling beside her before he started to weed with her quietly. I caught him watching her out of the corner of his eyes as he ripped the undesirable plants out of the earth. I wonder where Richard is... I smiled and looked for her then. I bet she's really upset I ditched her. We were supposed to talk to Rose together. I caught sight of her moving in front of a window inside the castle, looking like she was in the library as she carried an open book in her hands.
"Rose, I was supposed to talk to you with Richard about something important," I told her. "Will you set aside your garden and come inside for a little bit?" She looked at me before giving a big smile.
"Sure, I'll take a break for you." She stood up and took off her gloves before throwing them down on the ground. Victor flinched and looked at her gloves then looked at Rose, his eyebrows furrowing. She'll take a break for him, but not for me? Did I piss her off or something?
"No," I purred out in amusement. "I'm her brother~ I win every time," I told him before wrapping an arm around her shoulders and started to guide her inside. "Poor little sister.... I bet you're bored," I told her.
"No, I was having fun occupying my mind," she told me. She placed her head on my shoulder as we walked. "I think I'm starting to get sick with a cold," she told me.
"Maybe you're paranoid," I told her and laughed. A cold? I heard Victor following us quickly, hot on our heels. Is she pregnant? If she feels like she's starting to get sick, it might be that, but if she is getting sick, I better take really good care of her. I looked at him quickly and raised an eyebrow at him.
"What?" I asked him and stopped walking. "Is there a chance you got my little sister pregnant?" I asked quickly and tightened my grip around her.
"No!" Rose said quickly and sent a glare towards Victor.
"Good," I said and let out a relieved sigh. Victor frowned and ran his fingers through his hair.
"Of course not," he said then got on the other side of Rose, grabbing her hand and kissing it before he let her hand go. Walking off, he began to whistle as he went up the stairs of the castle and got the door, looking towards us expectantly. Oh boy... He better not have... I don't know if I could handle looking after that kind of situation. A little Russian nephew? He better not get the craziness along with it. I tsked and followed him- pulling Rose with me. He followed us in, shutting the door behind us. "So, I'm going to let the two of you go talk to Richard, and I'm going to enjoy this," he said, snatching the bottle from me. "I'll be waiting in the morning room for when you guys are done talking about whatever kind of business you have. Come join the party when you get too bored." He smirked and disappeared from us quickly, his laugh echoing in the room around us.
"You're not pregnant, right?" I asked her softly.
"No," she hissed out quickly and gasped. "I think I would know if I was, and if I were, you wouldn't be knowing by me disguising it as a cold." She grumbled a little under her breath before dragging me towards the library and kept our talking to a minimum. As soon as we entered the library, I saw Richard sitting by the fireplace curled up with that book from earlier as she flipped through it then tossed it to the side as she closed her eyes and purred lowly. I noticed it was an older piano book she found, probably filled with music and chord progressions to capture her attention.
"Richard," I purred out. "I hope you're not too upset at me." She glanced in my direction before she frowned and picked up the book, throwing it in my direction to where she hit me in the chest with it.
"Now you come back," she grumbled, huffing as she got out of her seat. "Trouble."
"Awe," I purred out and started for her. "Don't throw things at me. I'm your lover." She eyed me over as I walked over then sat back down in the chair slowly.
"You better be glad I'm your lover." She sighed and rubbed her head then propped her head up on her hand on the arm of the chair.
"Paris said he has something to talk to me about with you," Rose said as she walked over and sat down with Richard. Richard glanced towards her and nodded before she grabbed her and pulled her into her arms, kissing her cheek.
"Yes, we need you to do us a favor. Paris and I would appreciate it if you would help remove me from this body. I'm pregnant... but we can't keep her. We want this human to live and give birth to our baby though," she murmured to Rose, hugging her tightly. "I don't want my baby to die."
"Oh..." Rose frowned and eyed Richard over. "I know how to do that. I learned it while studying in Italy." She looked at me then and frowned. "But don't you want to deliver her yourself?" She asked and looked at Richard. "Or are you under some sexist crisis?"
"No, it's nothing like that," Richard told her quickly and shook her head. "Paris thinks its too dangerous to keep my baby with us. There's hunters moving in our town, and he's afraid something bad will happen to her... so he wants to send our baby away where she'll be safe while we can take care of the hunters."
"Oh...." She stood up then and rubbed her cheek. "I guess I'll do it for you," she told us. "When?"
"Soon, really soon," Richard said and rubbed her stomach. "When you have everything, you need... we'll do it." I caught her pause on her stomach before her breath caught as she watched it. "We can't wait too long though." I'll get too attached to my baby girl....
"I have everything I need. I just have to go get the items. You can meet me in my medical room. It's in the basement." Richard tensed and nodded before she got to her feet slowly.
"Alright," she told Rose then leaned down, kissing Rose's cheek. "Just don't let my baby die. I wouldn't be able to forgive myself for letting Paris have his way if she died."
"No, I would never hurt my future nephew or niece," she promised. "Not in a thousand years." Richard nodded and took a deep breath before she started for the door.
"I would hope so," she muttered, starting to ditch us as she picked up the book, she threw at me earlier and went out into the hall. I frowned and went after Richard quickly before grabbing her and wrapped my arms around her. I gave her a soft kiss on her cheek before taking her downstairs and towards the medical room. She leaned against me, gripping my shirt as I took her down there. "Paris... are you sure this is the right thing to do?" She murmured to me as we neared the room. "What if this goes horribly wrong? What if she dies... or what if she lives and grows up to hate us?"
"What?" I asked and frowned. "What if you get shot by a hunter carrying her?" I threw back. "She's going to thank us." She tensed against me and looked down at our feet quietly as we entered the medical room before she moved away from me and sat down on a table in the room. I watched as she rubbed her stomach, looking at it with a small frown before she took her hand away and gripped the table under her as her eyes lingered on the ground. "We agreed on doing this for our daughter," I said softly. Is it wrong? Is it really that wrong? Why is everyone against it? Even I want to be against it but I don't want something bad to happen to Richard.
"I know," she murmured, looking towards me. "I just... this is my first one... and I'm not even keeping her." I nodded and grabbed her hand before giving it a kiss.
"The Ainsworths invited us over for dinner tonight and I think we should take Donnie with us."
"Are you sure we should even go? They might try something," Richard said and frowned as she squeezed my hand.
"What? They're our friends," I muttered and frowned. She nodded and leaned in, giving me a quick kiss.
"Alright, we'll take Donnie with us," she purred softly and leaned in, kissing my neck before she wrapped her arms around me completely. She hugged me then ran her fingers down my arm before she took my hand and made me gently rub her stomach as she kissed my shoulder. "Donnie could use more friends...."
"Donnie? What? No... he's popular," I promised and gave a small laugh. Donnie is a shut in.
"No, he's not," she murmured and sighed softly as she leaned her head against me. "He's horrible at making new friends. I want him to have more, and maybe giving him that blood bag to play with will help him too. He could always use a human to be friends with. They're sometimes sweet to keep around as pets."
"That's true," I purred out. "But I wouldn't know personally... I've always had you," I told him and smirked. Besides that, pet I lost years ago when Richard wanted me back... but I don't want to remind him I had someone else- I don't even know if he knows. I hope not! Shit... He better never find out. She nuzzled her head against me then paused. There was that one guy though.... When I was trying to find Paris... that newborn. He smelled an awful lot like Paris... but he was Louis's I think now that I know about Louis. Richard gripped me a little tighter then hid her face into me, giving my chest a kiss quickly. I tensed up a little before blushing.
"Richard," I mumbled softly and then went to pull away, but Rose walked into the room with a cart of medical supplies.
"Ready?" She asked us and looked stressed a bit. Richard looked towards her then tensed before she lowered her eyes.
"Yes," she whispered and laid down on the table, but I could see she was nervous. I caught her glance my way before she looked away from me towards the ceiling and rubbed her stomach.
"Here we go..." Rose pulled out a needle and syringe before putting a liquid into Richard's arm. "This is going to make it smoother for the three of you. The smoother this goes the better it'll be for all of us." Richard nodded and looked at her before she gave a soft sigh.
"Alright, just don't let anything happen to my baby, please. I couldn't live with myself if she is killed because of this," she whispered and moved her hand away from her stomach. "Not her...."
"I wouldn't dream of hurting my niece," Rose promised. "I'm going to do as you wish, and she'll have what you want for her." Richard nodded and closed her eyes.
"Mhmm, I trust you, Rose," she murmured and relaxed a little, starting to drift off a bit as she hummed one of her favorites under her breath. I eyed her over before looking at Rose.
"Let's get this over with," I suggested. I don't want that medicine to quit working halfway through this.
"Good idea," Rose said before pointing me towards a chair. "Just sit there while I work this out." I froze up and raised an eyebrow. "You'll just be in my way, Paris," she explained.
"I want to help," I whispered.
"Then sit down," she told me firmly. I sighed before doing as I was told and watched my sister pick up Richard's hand and feel for her pulse before dropping the hand and started to rearrange things on the cart to begin the procedure to remove Richard from the woman without killing her or our daughter.
