Chapter 216 - Last hours of hiding - Part 2

***

Later this sunny day, I got called by the Big Father Thornosian to come to his office where he works on parchments and make gold coins using his brains to create connections like a normal noble from any kingdom I've encountered so far. Thornosian Father saw me entering the office, he lets a parchment on the desk, and he looks at me down from my legs to my face.

"You have called me, Big Father Thornosian?"

"Yes, slave boy." says Big Father Thornosian. "You see. I want to hand you a task since you have become more efficient in the last days."

"R-Really? What task it is? If I can ask."

"It's a simple one. You see. My dear daughter likes to make clothes, and she needs a piece of human wood to make a dress to impress the people who are going to come to tonight's party."

"And?"

"And you have the job to find a piece of wood into the forest, big enough to be almost one meter and half, and bring it here where you and some helpers are going to make it look like a human sculpture. Understand?"

"Y-Yes, sir." I said to Thornosian Father, but before I was about to head away, something happened.

"Wait. Something is different here."

I look at the door, did not want to dare to look behind me because this might be a deadly mistake. "Why is the Thornosian Father to think is something wrong?" I thought to myself as I slowly sweat on an autumn temperature. "Did he saw through my disguise? Did I spoke in my voice rather than the slave voice?". Just in case, I put my left hand, slowly in the pocket as the Thornosian Father leaves his office seat, and walk toward me. On the left pocket on my shirt I have stored my wand, and memorize the spell "T.N.T.". This would be able to blow up the Demon-Human head off his shoulders, but it will also damage me.

But it is a risk worth taking.

The Thornosian Father walks slowly and close to me, he looks at the door I am facing. I was holding my breath, holding my hand in the left pocket, and prepared for the worst. But suddenly, the man left me, and he goes to the left wall, where he sees one of the painted pictures staying in a bad position. He moves the picture from that wall ab it, and with a sigh that defines happiness he says.

"Now that's nice. No wonder I was feeling a bit creeped by this place this morning."

He looks at me, and he says.

"What are you doing here? You have an errand, slave boy. Go."

And I take my hand from, the left pocket, leave this room and head outside the house, by taking the main door that helps people enter the house and leaving it.

After I left the house and the garden, I go in the nearest forest, and start searching for a piece of wood who can measures about one meter and half. I walk a few more steps into the forest, and all I see is only small wooden pieces broken by human or big animals. I also saw a small tree that was recently planted, probably to increase the wood stocks or for God's Nature. It is believed in the culture of villagers that planting a more than five trees will reward good fortune in the next five days.

I walk a few more steps into the forest, and I hear a suspicious sound. Without thinking, I take out the wand, and aims to my back. On the back, there was a knight, who was about to stab me with his longsword.

"Whoa! Whoa!" I yelled at the knight. "I am not the captured slave!"

"You are not?" asks the knight a bit reluctant. "Then how do you know about the slaves captured?"

"His Majesty sent me into this mission. Together with Fiona Lunderberg."

"Fiona Lunderberg?" asks almost scared. "Are you her scout?"

"Yes. I am Judas Judah Gremory." I say this big secret to the unknown knight who wears the battle kit of a normal knight from Kingdom of Romania.

"Sorry!" says the knight putting his weapon down, and brushing his back side of the head. "I thought the slaves somehow expected and have told the secret to the enemy."

"Thank God this did not happen." I say to the knight. "How many are you here?"

"We are many enough to erase the house on the map."

"Great." I say with the smile to the knight who is departing from me. "Good luck, tonight!"

"Thank you! You too!" says the knight leaving me behind to do my errand.

I continue to search for the piece of wood who will be transformed into probably a nice human sculpture in wood. I found a potential one after at least three minutes later. I put on my right shoulder and walk to the house, where I and three more helpers are going to make this piece of wood into a human sculpture for the small daughter to show her mastery at making clothes from.

"Thank God!"I said to myself. "If the Thornosian Father was not having the idea of creating a human sculpture, he would probably put me to stand as a sculpture and be dressed. This would have destroyed the tonight's side plan of freeing the poor people."

As I brought the piece of wood, and let three skilful carpenters who came to help the Thornosian family at this dinner party preparations, I took a look at the main door. As I look at the door for at lest some seconds, I go at the piece of wood and helps the experienced carpenters to make the sculpture.

After a time of hard-working, we managed to finish the sculpture in almost a clock. When we finished this, the carpenters told me to move this "piece of art" (as they said) to the room of the little girl. I did not even ask them why they are not doing it, because I know I have the priority of entering the house and do errands while they are paid to only work on the garden and not enter the house of Thornosian family.

I enter the house, carrying the sculpture in both of my hands. It was feeling heavy, but this did not stopped me to rise a small set of stairs to the next floor, where the little girl has her room. after a small walk, I put the sculpture down, and I was about to knock on the door, then I heard some noises in the room.

Noises that do not sound like are made by any humans. I decide to look at the hole of the key. Because the door was huge, and the door key was big enough to even see almost the whole room, what I saw over there, almost made to me to vomit and reveal my location.
