The day has come. The day when I will finally discover roots of my family I was born in. And I will also learn something about my family curse. But on this building I am not by myself, nor with any of my known relatives. In this watchtower I am with Fiona, because we have to retrieve a few documents which are in Kingdom property.
"What are the documents we have to retrieve anyway?" I asked her when we light the torches of this watchtower to help us see this interior of the building.
"Just the one who have kingdom property on them." she says while she digs into a few shelves with parchments.
"And who are those documents exactly?"
"Property which belonged to your family and other stuffs. This watchtower it is one of your family member property, but it is still in our kingdom property."
"Does that means this building doesn't belong to me?"
"If the documents shows that you are the owner of this building, then it is your property. But it might not be going to be possible after all. Probably because your parents have been ki- brought to soul world when you were still a baby, and property documents need a long time to be made. In my case, it was almost two months."
"I understand." I say before I stumble into a small book which has a big title "The members of Gremory and Turgenstein Family death lists" on the floor, together with a few novels dropped there. "Hey. I found something here."
I cleaned up the dust from that book, which made me sneeze for a bit because the dust was put on this book for a while. And Big Gus told me he always came to this location when he had free time. I opened the book, and I saw there a family tree, probably the one of the family Turgenstein. I looked on that family tree and there I saw that Don Tijo and Quiva had almost forty-nine babies, twenty were males and other twenty-nine were females. Not only that, but I was surprised by this because so far, I only heard about families who mostly have one to three kids, and forty-niner kids... What is this spell he used to make that many kids?!
I looked at a few names on that tree, and they do seem to be in a different language, much more different from the one I do speak right now. Names such as Yuriak, Toji, Jinga, Annie, Yulva and so on. Fiona told me that these names are usual for the people who mostly live outside from this kingdom, or the creative ones who don't have an idea how to name their own child.
I turn the page where the family tree was there, and I see that the names of a few members from the family Turgenstein are written there, and some minor details about them. Such as a guy named Jukia Turgenstein, a female warrior who used to slay an entire army of giants by using the power of lions. She died on the battlefield when her kingdom fought Bulgaria's States. I asked Fiona where is Bulgarian states, and she told that was Bulgaria Kingdom, before the Queen of Bulgaria came to power and reform the whole kingdom. So, she did like King Julius did to my kingdom, it changed totally into a good thing... Kinda.
I looked at another person from that family, Fin Turgenstein, and this person it is the one who married a woman who made almost fifty children. I also got a minor detail written there that this person has mostly bought these children from the Orphanage, about thirty of them were from different Orphanages. There was another detail, written at one of those kids Biography, who says that those children were used to create a guild of hunters on animals, bounty hunters or knights. Then, Fiona told me.
"Those are the legendary warriors of our kingdom... First fifty defenders of this kingdom. There were other defenders, but nobody could've matched their strength. Not even I could do that. Even if I have Vewolf gene and my skills with this big sword... I wouldn't even be a match for Tudor, the weakest member of those fifty Big Defenders."
"You have met them?" I asked her.
"Only two of them, and those two are the only ones who are still working for this kingdom... Those two are Yuri and Ulid. Both of them are people who are carrying huge shields with maces. And they are both old, about fourty-two years old. But they are strong as hell. Even I had a tough time trying to break through one of their shields."
"Wow... But... Why is this family having a connection to mine?" I asked after I turned a few pages with this family tree and members who joined other families.
But, when I arrived at a page with the number nintey-eight, I found my family tree. I discovered that one of those family members from Turgenstein has come to mine, and that person it is Emi who married Thor Gremory, which are my great-grandparents. But not Thor, the guy who is my Father, the one who came to this kingdom, hoping to find a good job and have a good life here. I also found that this watchtower belonged only to Thor Gremory.
"This watchtower belonged to a dead person... Not to anyone."
"Yeah." I responded to Fiona. "So these documents are going to be in Kingdom hands?"
"Yes... But you can still keep a few of them."
"Thanks." I replied to her after I took a few novels from the floor, this textbook with family tree and a parchment who contains the thing I was searching for, cure. Well, it showed only a cure word there, because the rest of this page it is written in another language. Not even Fiona was able to understand what kind of language it is written.
Anyway, we took the documents Fiona and I we needed, then we lock the door of this watchtower and head back to our kingdom, by using our horses. This day wasn't the one I expecting it, but it could have gone worse. At least, I know the information about my family, and I might find a way to break my family curse, if I will be possible to do that.
