"Nice joke!" Xavier laughed out loud but Mia's eyes didn't ease along. The fear, those wavering tears and her paleness puzzled his nerves.
"Is it true?" Her voice shook, tension clearly visible all over her face.
"Not at all!" Xavier added, his expression turning dark at every ticking second,
"I would marry anyone except a wicked like you!" He added as her eyes blinked in suspicion. "And most importantly, I like women with a kind heart, you know that very well!" The deception he spelled reduced her fear, as her eyes moved to Ryan for clarification.
"I think its a misunderstanding!" Turning towards Xavier, he added, " I think he meant someone else, and I mismatched her with you."
Xavier's nod made her sigh in relief as others held back their breaths still diluting in his deception. Audrina looked at her husband while his eyes were fixed on Xavier while Xuan hid back for being the host of this dangerous topic.
