Poorva - Arjun, I'll ask you one thing. Tell me yes or no

Poorva- Did you break this pencil ?
Arjun - Yes amma.
Poorva- Can you remember your age when this incident happened?
Arjun - I was 7 amma.
Poorva - Are you sure ?
Arjun- This incident happened 2 days before Aaradhana birthday. First time she raised her voice against me for her friend who gifted him this pencil. Getting angry , I threw a cockroach toy on her ,while she was cutting her birthday cake telling her my gift
Poorva- Where is it ? Does she have it still.
Arjun- Yes amma.

Poorva - Arjun, when did you started giving gift to her
Arjun- Amma I started giving gift for her when I was 6. I gave her a leaf

Arjun - I accept that I was jealous that time and even now , But how come Aaradhana state is different ?

Rupali and Kamatchi were listening to the conversation from the window
Rupali - Paati , if Poorva athai tells Arjun about the person Aaradhana loved ,then our game is over.

Kamatchi - Hypnotize Aaradhana and make her end the conversation
Rupali takes the chain for hypnotizing her. She starts to oscilating the chain telling "Jayanthi wake up , Wake up Jayanthi"
Aaradhana doesnt respond
Rupali - Paati,I couldnt control her mind. She's sleeping as if she ate sleeping pill
Kamatchi - What ?
Poorva sees Aaradhana blanket falling down and she shivers
She goes near and puts blanket over her. she then moves to the window and closes it
Rupali who was hiding with Kamatchi

Arjun - Amma,how can you react normal even after knowing the name of the person she loved for 20 + years
Poorva - What to do Arjun ? You got promise from her that you should not hear about that person's name from her mouth or anyone mouth directly and indirectly . I can feel how she got hurt when you refused to hear the person's name . Thank god ,she got promise from you not to destroy her diary
Poorva sees damaged diary and takes it
Poorva - Arjun, dont tell me that you damaged this diary
Arjun - Amma , I didnt do but Aaradhana did
He tells incident happened before she came

Poorva - Your wish Arjun. How much years are you in love with her ?
Arjun - I saw her as a friend till I met her in college. It was love at first sight for me in college.So 8 years
Poorva - Arjun , Aaradhana lied to us one thing .

Arjun - Aaru , The person whom you loved for all these years . is it me ?
- If what Poorva amma said true I gave the pencil to you on your 4th birthday . But why dont I remember of giving a pencil as a birthday gift to you ?

Arjun - I am sure that incident will be written in your diary. First I'll fix the pages and start reading the diary
As Aaradhana numbered the pages it was easy for him to fix the diary.
After cleaning the room and ensuring the diary is fixed he sits in the table , switching the table lamp he starts reading the diary.

~Continuation of Aaradhana diary ~
I love my Poorva athai and Anand mama a lot because they treat like their own daughter. I have two cousins . The elder and Arrogant Arjun and younger and lovely Anitha. Arjun and I studied in same school till we were 9 ie till V th standard . He always treat me like his slave. He orders me to do his home work,carrying his bag telling he is 3 months elder than me. But one thing l like about him is he never let others to bully me .
During my III standard ,once Arjun got fever and didnt attend school for 3 days. At the first day while entering the school , I thought I could enjoy 3 days peacefully. It happened the same . But second day boys in school started oredering me to carry their backs , completing their home work . When I refused to do they poured water on me , I came back home drenched . It happened the third day too. At the fourth day Arjun came back school and ordered me to carry his bag . I did the same. Following that other boys ordered me too , when I was about to carry their bag Arjun stopped me telling "She is mine . No one can order her except me". He threw other boys bag down and held my hands and entered the class.

Dear diary tell me one thing would some one gift a toy cockroach for their birthday . No right ? But it happened it with me . Poorva athai took me to her home to celebrate my 7 th bday. I was so happy while cutting cake . But my happiness didnt last a long while . After cake cutting Poorva athai gave me bangle ,anand mama gave me a watch and Anitha gave me her favourite barbie doll as a present . When Poorva athai asked Arjun to give his gift , he smiled and asked to close my eyes and open my hands . I also did same . He threwed a cockroach on me and run away
I know why he did . He did it because we had a fight 2 days before. It is the first time I disobeyed his orders . How will I not get angry when he broke my pencil ? In addition he shouted at me "who gave you this pencil ?". It pissed me a lot because how can he forget the gift he gave me on my birthday, when I can remember each and every gift I gave him on his birthday . After this incident I shifted class and I didnt speak to him 1 &1/2 years .

During that 1 -1/2 years I avoided Arjun and even he avoided me . I went school with Anitha and returned with Anitha. Arjun will not bully me before Anitha , because Anitha will complain to Poorva athai and Poorva athai will scold Arjun. As Poorva athai was helping with anand mama business she didnt notice the drift between me and Arjun. My 9 th birthday happened in my home. Poorva athai & family planned a suprise visit to my home.She noted the drift between us this time . So she tricked us and locked me and my Arjun in my room. Arjun was busy in playing with his remote car. I was upset being tricked.That remote car hit my amma's memory box..
( she writes the how Arjun tried to snatch the box,how he questioned her about things in box mentioned in chapter "Am I no one to him" ).
I didnt expect that Arjun will console me . That was the first time I saw Arjun care towards me . Before that he only bullys me and protects me from others bullying. Though I like Arjun after this incident I started liking him a lot . Knowing we both cleared the misunderstanding between us Poorva athai shifted Arjun to my class and he started ordering me again. But this time I didnt hate him, I obeyed him because I understood "I have some one who cares for me and protects me when I am in need"
