Under the commotion of battle, Balin and his team of mages continued forward until finally reaching the end of the tunnel. At this point, all traces left by fire melting ice were non-existent. Any progress was man-made, well, orc-made.
Balin touched the rough icy surface for a bit before finally telling the mages to get to work. Quickly, the work was divided among themselves.
The fire mages let out the heat which turned the ice into water, which was filtered away by the water mages. The earthen mages were to be ready for surprise attacks and anyone else was to be on the offensive.
The ice which had been slowly wilted away by the orcs was practically disappearing at the hands of the humans. Balin only stood by the side overlooking the operation while also making sure to keep an eye on the situation behind him.
