"Alright! So, what are we up to?" Valery said as she calmly ate her ice cream while pushing her legs back and fro on a bench.
"Are you familiar with these?" I said, showing her some pills from my bag.
"They're medicine?"
"Not exactly. Inside this pills are extracted powder from a spice called Nutmeg. Nutmeg contains myristicin, a natural compound that has mind-altering effects if ingested in large doses, which is this stuff. The buzz can last one to two days and can be hallucinogenic."
"Oh... So you're going to make them see stuff?"
"Yes."
"But how are we going to find their exact location?"
"By simply going to their hotel! I checked their receipt awhile ago, found it on Dawn's bag. Their check-out is tomorrow, eight in the morning."
"Where did you get those anyway?"
"It's part of my Rocket equipment before going here. Come on, we'll have to cheat them by arriving at their hotel first."
And so, we went with our plan. Valery, good with maps, led us to their hotel through a short-cut. Dawn and Logan going to an ice cream was definitely not to look for us. It was only by coincidence that they spotted Valery and I. Meaning to say, they have an intended purpose of being outside their hotel, probably to enjoy some landmarks or musical plays. The address of their hotel could be found also at the receipt.
We passed through the backdoor and exited from the kitchen. Finding ourselves at the lobby, Valery and I went to their stock room to steal some clothes, staff and attendant clothes. While doing so, my partner, a keen observer, was wise to have found herself curious about some billboards. There it stated the time waiters would be serving snacks, today's menu is a hamburger. At exactly 2:30, guests would receive them. What's left was to find Logan and Dawn's plate and serve them with the spices in which we were successful in doing so upon returning to the kitchen. Each plate has a label of their names and room number, which I took note of, so servers won't be having a hard time serving them.
Two in the afternoon, Logan and Dawn came back. With the dozen of bags Dawn carried, it was now clear that their intended purpose was shopping. Valery plays her role and moved closer towards them.
"Good afternoon, ma'm! May we help you with your bags? Compliments of the Golden Hotel!" She said with her most high pitched voice to sound different. Her hair, I tied it into a pigtail so they wouldn't figure it out. Exhausted, the trainers just had to say yes.
Dawn handed over the bags and the keys to her room. "Go bring them for us." She then told Logan she would be needing to use the restroom so Logan had to wait at the lobby.
At 2:15, Valery returned and gave the keys back to the trainers. She said, upon going back to me, she encountered Dawn and Logan at the stair case and decided to give them back.
Now, we would be needing to wait for fifteen minutes, hiding, because they'd be looking for us after realizing Valery gave the wrong key. The rest of the plan would be a play of hands and pure trickery.
2:30, I got their food and volunteered to serve it to Room number 13. At the same time, Valery came out of hiding spot and met Dawn and Logan on purpose.
"Where's the key? This isn't the right one!"
While they were talking, I went up the stairs and to their room. Valery was just behind, explaining that the key she gave was definitely the right one no doubt.
"Are you sure? That's the key I used," she said.
We arrived in front of their door. Logan and Dawn wanted proof that it was the right key while I, the waitress, just stood waiting for them to finish so I could serve their food.
Using the wrong key, she extended her arm towards the ground in a slanted direction, sliding the right one from her shoulders to her palm. It was covered with the sleeves of the uniform when it slid. She hid the right key behind the wrong key and before inserting it...
"Excuse me, um... Are you Logan, the victor of the Sinnoh League?"
I distracted them. This gave time for Valery to do her trick. She moved the wrong key inches back so what would be seen was the tip of the right and the bottom of the wrong.
"Ma'm. The key works," Valery said and handed back the key, still the wrong one.
Last thing to do was to serve their food and then wait for a few minutes for them to eat and the hallucination to take affect.
