Chapter 408 - EPISODE 79: The Flute!*

"Us? Team Rocket? It's not like we're doing anything bad to the mountain like illegal mining of some sort. Well, we just heard helicopters from our headquarters and we definitely knew those came from our enemies, Team Galactic. So me, I mean we, went here to investigate." I explained in a very timid voice, telling fragments of the truth.

My team members dearly know I'm lying in front of the champion and there is no absolute way will I ever tell her the truth even if the two of us trust each other. She nodded her head slowly and chose to accept my excuse. "Believable, well they're not causing any trouble so it's better if we team up and defeat Team Galactic before it's too late."

"What are you doing?" Vizion approached me and mumbled at my ear.

"Relax, leave the plan to me and we'll definitely acquire Dialga and Palkia, no doubt. Just, trust me." I told confidently.

"Let's see if this little plan of yours will work. Besides, my retirement is near. Once you capture those two beasts, I'm outta here." Zinnia whispered on my right.

"Yup! Relax, I'll be the one to handle all of this." I said to all my members, doubting my plan would work but little do they know my plans always succeed! At least that is what I think. But like they say, it's better to be positive things would work out rather than being all negative about it.

"So, right. As we were discussing, we needed to find a flute known as the Azure Flute so in case things could go wrong, we can be granted access to enter the Hall of Origin and with the help of Arceus, we'll be able to settle things down." Logan explained.

"A-Arceus. It's possible to meet it?" I asked, my eyes were glimmering. Imagine selling a Pokemon in which everyone treats as God. That's going to be music to the vaults of Team Rocket. Who cares about time machines and galaxies anymore, selling all three would be better, like what the true purpose of the mafia was.

I'm not entirely sure if they're thinking the same thing as me but I think I'll stick to my newly formed scheme instead. I can see our leaders swimming in a pool of money and come to think of it, we can build a Team Rocket headquarters in space with all those money so I'll say this, I think it's an absolute win!

"Yes. According to legend that is." Logan chuckled and confirmed.

"Okay, why is he chuckling? That's not normal, what secrets are you hiding there?!" Charlotte leaned her head forward at me and squinted her eyes, suspecting something in between me and him.

"You're exaggerating!"

"I was just asking. Just make sure." she squinted her eyes even more.

"Anyway, according to some myths, the flute can be found somewhere in this mountain some and the rest of my team went here to find the flute." Dawn calmly explained. She was feeling a bit comfortable with talking with us, Team Rocket grunts, and a temporary agent of ours.

"Then let's go search for it!" and from there, I encouraged everyone to get back to work and find the Azure Flute for me. Not even Team Rocket knows about my schemes but I think some of them have a hunch on what I'm too. The important thing is the champion neither the trainers, including Logan, does not have any clue about what I'm planning.

I can't wait for what was to come. The excitement of success is completely feeling my body with peppiness. Together with the champion's team, we searched for this so-called flute and we nearly ran out of hope. And so, after finding none across our path, it was decided to do some Pokemon business to ease this task of ours. Working alongside our Pokemon, we were able to move rocks and dig up some parts of the mountains.

Absol used her paws and claws as a form of pickaxes for digging. On my command, we were able to move rocks to find the flute if there was a chance it would be embedded in this rocky mountain. On the other hand, Vizion used his Blastoise to corrode the rocks with water, Vizion's Venusaur will help move the rocks with its vines, Zeal's Roserade will be able to do the same. Zinnia commanded her Altaria to peck the rocks while the twins electrocuted the boulders. Meanwhile, Oliver and his bug Pokemon were able to help out by slicing the rocks into half with their powerful scythes and claws.

The trainers also did the same with the help of their Pokemon as so as Cynthia in which her Garchomp blasted rocks with its powerful dragon attacks. So far, the champion was the only one who was able to deal with the most damaged amongst us.

"Huh, your Pokemon isn't tired yet? That's one hard-working Pokemon!" Logan complimented me and Absol.

"Th-thanks." I smiled and waved at him who was busy mining on the other side of the cave.

Then came Charlotte who blocked my view from Logan. "So right, back to work!" she reminded.

"I know, I just waved my hand." I pouted. Nowadays, she's more of a mother.

"Humph!" she grumbled at me and went back to her working station. I didn't do anything at all. Then, Absol grabbed my attention by pulling me; she bit my uniform and dragged me to the rock she was digging at.

I couldn't believe my eyes. She had done it. Absol was able to do it. In front of us, something mysterious glew. The glow was not of Earth and I couldn't explain what color it belonged to because it doesn't seem to be part of the color wheel. Its presence was magnificent, it truly stood out from the rest of the treasures I've seen, which includes the Ruby and the Sapphire. I was getting lulled, slowly kneeling down to grab the magnificent object.
