Far beyond the depths of the ocean, lies a cavern known throughout the history of Hoenn. It bears many secrets, some of which are unknown or haven't been solved by humanity yet. The cavern is built with rocks, soaked with the cold water of Hoenn's eastern seas. It is said that a Pokémon once dwelled here in the ancient mists of a time long past.
With the help of their large driller, Team Magma was able to blow up a big hole at the cavern. The gap was large enough for the whole ship to enter. Maxie, Tabitha, and their squadron then departed and entered the main cavern.
"Grunts! Search for it!" Tabitha, commanded.
"Sir, yes sir!" the grunts obliged and turned on their radar. They led the way while Tabitha and Maxie stayed behind.
Their radar was able to detect heat signatures belonging to many Pokemon, primarily Zubats, Golbats, and many other rock type Pokemon. Amongst these heat signatures is the largest of them all, a stagnant Pokemon, covered in gray.
"Sir! We were able to detect Groudon's heat signature." one grunt reported happily. The news was able to give their boss a large grin.
"Good job. Lead the way!" Admin Tabitha commanded. Their walk continued for more than thirty-minutes through the soggy flooring of the cavern. Water kept on dropping from the teeth of the cavern as their voices echoed loudly, bouncing unto the craggy place they're in.
Soon, they reached the largest portion of the cavern. The ceilings were high as their eyes gazed upon the miraculous stoned land deity, Groudon. Maxie was suddenly feeling enthusiasm as Tabitha handed over him his bag. He then took out the lustrous crimson Ruby.
Groudon is a red, black, grey, and white Pokémon with yellow eyes. It has white spikes on its tail and neck. It has white, sharp claws on both its hand and it also has white toes. It has a grayish underbelly. It has a large tail with three sharp, white spikes appearing on the left-hand side and right-hand side of its tail. A black pattern also goes along its body.
Groudon is an immensely powerful Pokémon, having the ability to summon intense droughts and cause volcanic eruptions. The droughts it can cause allow it to evaporate water, while the volcanic eruptions it can summon enable it to create land.
Maxie took out the Ruby and yelled to Groudon, "You will make my dreams a reality! Come forth to life, and show the world what you are capable of! The people couldn't understand the gift I am about to give them. You will help humanity thrive for more than a century, abundant with land for the future generations."
He then threw the Ruby and landed atop the sleeping beast. The whole cavern began to shake as Groudon opened its wide yellow eyes. As Primal Groudon, it becomes larger and has a deep, crimson body. The spikes on both sides of its body, tail, jagged teeth, and underbelly are black, with the spikes on the tail becoming longer and facing diagonally, instead of being straight.
The four blades at the end of its tail are now split. Its sharp claws on its hands and its claws on its feet remain pure white. Both of Primal Groudon's hands bear an Omega symbol on them.
The markings, some of which extend to its underbelly on its body and the Omega symbols it bears, glow bright yellow, as if lava is flowing inside of it, including the inside of its mouth and around its eyes, which changes to an orange-red color. In the anime, Primal Groudon is said to create new land with every step it takes.
At first, Team Magma was proud of their actions, clapping for their brilliant and sincere boss. With a yell of confidence, he commanded Goliath, "Go! Give the Earth a bounty of land. Do what you must."
They stepped out unto one of the islands, watching Groudon walk around the seas. For every step, a new island was born and brought unto this world. At first, everything was going all according to plan when suddenly Groudon spewed out a galore of lava from its mouth.
It blew up faraway islands, portions of mainland Hoenn, particularly the shores of Lilicove. This was not what Maxie had imagined. Everything was in havoc as Groudon persisted to spew out lava unto the Earth. The lava slowly disintegrated the seas.
"Groudon?! What on Earth are you doing? This isn't what I've wanted!" shouted, Maxie towards the foul beast as it continued to rampage. Despite the efforts of Maxie trying to calm Groudon, the deity didn't listen and instead persisted to do whatever it wants.
