"Giovanni suicided?!" Xeryll says shockingly as the four of us make our way to Mount Silver.
"Yes. It was too late. He couldn't handle all the stress so he decided to jump off a cliff. Upon our arrival, we saw him dead on the floor." I excuse.
"We all know that didn't happen right?" Jenny asks in a whispering manner.
"I killed him," I whisper back. My words made Jenny's eyebrows rise. She was immensely shocked by such a thing to the point she couldn't think of anything to say and instead, she refrained from talking to me as she watches the skies of Johto from the window.
"Sigh, you never change," Jenny mutters to herself.
For ten minutes, the helicopter glides through the sky. From above, I now see what Jenny meant by conflict. An array of light continues to hit the three largest cities of Johto. From above, I could hear the buzzes of children and families begging for mercy and assistance.
"Where are the Elite Four?" I ask, worried about my fellow members. The light coming from the Rebirth Society's massive weaponry has stunned me to near death. I do not want my fellow members to die and perish because of such a cruel organization.
"The Elite Four are handling a conflict in the Kanto Region," Jenny responds while still continuing to look unto the window.
"What kind of conflict?" Virgo queries.
"Cinnabar Island has been blown up. According to the elites, they'll be making Seafoam Islands the new "Cinnabar" after such destruction caused by the hands of our common enemy."
"Pfft. I'm only doing this for the sake of Team Rocket and not Johto." I utter my word sarcastically.
"I know. At least I can-"
"Don't think of this as a form of- never mind it. Just remember, once this is over, we're enemies again."
"Sure, it's fine with me." She says with her big grin, obviously not taking my words seriously.
"Are you being sarcastic with my words?"
"Well, a bit. I guess the new Luna isn't so bad after all." Jenny says sarcastically as she chuckles softly.
Xeryll then drops us at the pinnacle of the tower wherein just like Mount Gold, a hollow cave lurks within. She then told us that she needed to leave immediately due to the fact the executives are calling for assistance and she's the only pilot left as of this moment. I accepted her excuse and told her that we could find other ways for transportation, not to mention my Gardevoir can teleport us there.
We bid our goodbyes and wish each other good luck. It is as if she is going to war with an enemy more intelligent than us. It is because of the invisibility mechanism of the Rebirth Society's fleet which made this an unexpected attack, a surprise to the public.
Upon entering the hollow cave, the place where the further you go the less light seeps in. It is one of those caves which haunts conquistadors like me. One that can frighten one's soul of its body because of the echoes it holds within. I always feel like I'm walking inside the mouth of a worm with stalactites serving as teeth. The presence and feeling that you're being followed also irks me to pieces.
We continue to walk for more than three minutes and we hurried as fast as we could only to catch up and help the members who are in need, or in this case, everyone.
"So, the Rainbow Wing is hiding in this mountain all along? Out of all the places it chooses this?" Virgo complains. Her voice echoes loudly as she points her flashlight to her front.
"Hmm, that is how nature works and no one can imitate its movements. It hides its presents in unexpected manners wherein only those who persevere and endure its trials can be worthy of having it." Jenny quotes, as we walk further to the depths of the cave.
Silence shrouds us. There is something peculiar we noticed about this place. Something very peculiar. There is the absence of Pokemon. Usually, Pokemon are always present in these kinds of surroundings especially those Pokemon who fall under the rock, ice, and ground category. It is as if we're walking through a burial site for Pokemon.
"Why would mother nature hide the rainbow wing in a place which feels like a graveyard?" Says Virgo in a shivering way. Her body quivers violently, her eyes grew big and all the hair shrouding her body straightens up.
"..." A cough echoes from afar. The cough, it is the one I dread the most, the one which brings all those fainted nightmares back to life. We stop for a moment to observe our surroundings and that is when the person shows up right in front of our face.
"Oh, Arceus." After seeing the person, I was left with fright to the point I uttered my words in a stuttering manner. The first thing that appeared in my mind was to run as far away from the person as possible.
"I- I have found you," I mutter, accidentally dropping both my jaw and my flashlight.
