I am in total shock, for me and Arlo weren't alone. Before the bullet punctures my skin, someone has pushed me from the side, causing my body to stumble unto the rough surface. Although my face got a bruise, it's much better than dying at least.
With a headache, I lean my upper torso to look at the one who've protected me. Slowly, my blurred and clouded sighting becomes clear, revealing another mystery with a truth behind it.
"Ma... Matori?!" My expression changes, truly a bolt out of the blue. I am left with confusion and at the same time, guilt. All this time, I have been blaming the wrong person. How could I ever forgive myself for this?
We gaze unto each other's eyes. I could see her gasping for oxygen with pupils belonging to a drowsy woman. I sense... I sense the pain of the impact of a single bullet.
It has pierced her heart and crushed her lungs. I could see her blood dripping unto the surface of the cavern. She then stumbles to my grasp, and hugs me like a mother.
My uniform suddenly starts to moisten with the secretary's final tears. I want to shed a tear, but I am afraid that I do not have the courage to do such a thing.
All this time, my perspective on the secretary was wrong. I could feel her affection, flowing through my vessels and now I wish to seek her true past, her true nature.
She then whispers her final words to my ears, "B... Blast, off." After finishing her words, her eyes shut slowly and her heart stops to beat. Her head tilts to my neck. She is now lifeless.
"I'm sorry," I mumble to her lifeless body. My eyes could no longer bear the tears and sorrows.
"Good, Matori has finally died. Now no one will further disrupt my plans. Let's end you too, shall we?" Arlo interrupts, then laughs in a brutal manner.
Gently, I place down the secretary's body to the floor. I then clench my fists and mutter in a soft tone, "You will pay for your actions."
"What could a teenager like you, do to an adult like me?!" Arlo insults. His words have forced me to stand and wipe my tears away. With eyes of a merciless woman, I glare at him.
"The Pokemons who live here will feast on your corpse. You will regret fighting with me and the secretary.
I may not be an adult, but that doesn't mean you can underestimate me." I holler as I toss out Mawile from her Pokeball. Without giving Arlo a chance to react, I command Mawile to freeze Arlo with Ice Beam.
After being frozen by the move, I kick Arlo to the water, sending him to the depths of the cavern water. Once the ice melts, he will meet the same fate as the secretary. However, instead of being shot at, he will drown as he regrets his decision to live.
With all that interruption finished, I return to my business with Mewtwo. I set it free, all paralyzed, and wounded. This will give me a better opportunity to catch it with my Ultra Ball.
Now I understand why the Rocket Master Ball failed. Arlo did it on purpose in order for Mewtwo to escape and fall under his grasps. I guess he is a genius as well.
The Ultra Ball shakes three times, and Mewtwo has been caught. My solo mission is a success yet the price to pay is a soul. Before leaving the cavern, I take one last glimpse at the secretary's lifeless body. She is an example of a woman who is devoted and loyal to the boss, and I have decided to follow her footsteps.
I will serve Team Rocket, with all my life only to prove my devotion and loyalty. I am certain, Arlo is only one of the many opponents of the organization. A lot more is about to debut, and I'll be there to burn down their headquarters.
For now, it is time to return to the boss with good and bad news. I wonder how the whole organization will react after knowing about Matori's demise, Arlo's betrayal, and Mewtwo's sudden weakness. Blast off, what could the secretary mean by her final words?
