"I told you many times that you can't go out. And now I hear that you've nearly killed someone again?!" Charlotte scolds me like a mother while walking in circles.
"She deserved it anyway," I respond with my pupils rolling.
"Hmph. And now you've been hiding secrets from me and Xavier too? I never knew you have a friend belonging to the Police." With a covetous look, Jenny continues to scold me.
"Who, Jenny? I met her in the Orphanage, that's all. It's not like I'm going to leave Team Rocket in the first place." I roll my pupils for the second time, trying to withstand all these dull moments every time Charlotte sermons me.
"Charlotte! Luna! To Giovanni's room, we have another mission. And this time it is important!" Xavier halts then gasps for air. He then utters in a rapid face.
With immediate reaction, we dash to the top floor, even if it means taking the long way up through the stairs. To our surprise, we aren't the only ones heading to Giovanni's room. Grunts and other agents were also on their way.
I now hypothesize if the Pokemon Government Council is up to no good again. Or perhaps our other branches were suddenly attacked by other organizations. Who knows?
As expected, inside the room is no other than a hundred grunts. However, Giovanni isn't in his chair for some reason, as so as his feline companion.
"Where could he be?" I start to wonder in my mind for all I can see are the three pillar leaders and Matori. For some odd reason, they seem to be panicking like damsels in distress.
"Everyone is here, good." Sierra tilts to the crowd after seeing the last grunts arrive. Everybody starts to line up and listen to what the pillars and the secretary who we assume is the traitor, has to say.
"Greetings Team Rocket! This is no time for excitement and enthusiasm. Our operations in Saffron City, specifically in Silph Co, has been ruined by this trainer." Matori explains as Red's image flashes again.
"On the top floor is no other than Giovanni and the president of Silph Co. They are currently discussing something about the Master Ball when this trainer had to bulge into our business." Arlo adds.
"Therefore, we, the elite operatives and the secretary has proposed a response protocol to not only protect Giovanni but to also claim the Master Ball." Cliff finishes Arlo's statements.
"We have decided to assemble a hundred agents and grunts alike who we think will be able to do the mission without failing it.
With a helicopter, you will be transported to Saffron City. From there, we want you to find the trainer and capture him immediately before he reaches the top floor." And finally, Sierra explains the important details.
"Luna! This is what we've been waiting for. To battle a Pokemon Trainer." Charlotte tilts her head to me and beams with excitement with eyes twinkling like stars.
"..." I remain speechless, keeping my head looking unto the floor.
"Is there anything wrong, Luna?" Xavier queries because of my peculiar look.
"No, no. I'm fine." I smirk, but it is obvious to Xavier that I'm faking my own smile.
"You don't seem to be fine. Are... you scared?" Xavier guesses.
"Scared? Why would I be scared? I'm going on a mission anyways." I respond with another fake smirk, trying to hide my worried self.
"If that's the case, then don't do anything crazy just like what you did in the previous mission."
For one last time, I give Xavier a fake smirk. I then look to the ground, with my hands sweaty inside my gloves. My mind is troubled, for I will be going to my homeland.
And you know my mother once she hears that I'm nearby. She'll do anything to see me, and thus interrupting with Team Rocket's mission. And here comes the hard part, I do wish that I won't fight with her or even the Master Five.
"As much as possible, let none, stand in the path of Team Rocket. No matter what the circumstances are." Matori instructs. Her final sentence echoes to the chambers of my sanity, "No matter what the circumstances are."
To be honest, the only thing I could do is to hope that my mother does not read any newspaper or watches TV. Perhaps it's best if she stays in the room, doing some paperwork.
After the announcements, everybody starts to proceed to the helicopter except for me. Yes, for some reason, I was halted by the pillars and the secretary.
"Prove your loyalty to Giovanni," Matori mutters to my ears and hands me an object which will be useful. My hands start to shiver while holding the object.
"What if I can't?" I question with a stuttering voice, looking at the bizarre object.
"The decision falls under your hands. You know Giovanni's ambitions for the world. In order for that to succeed, a small price must be paid." Arlo adds.
"Now go and run, you have a mission to accomplish. Remember, no matter what." Sierra mutters to my ear with a spooky tone. With a heavy heart, I accept my secret role.
This will be a bargain between a trainer and grunt, and I don't think I like where this is heading to. Saffron City, I'm ready to see you once more.
