That was a really good question to ask the chipped-ear guy and Scarface.
The last thing the two of them actually remembered was walking to the villa. However, when they woke up, they found themselves in the villa.
Traces around them and the security guard who woke them up told them they were knocked out at the door. Since they had just woken up, they were still rather groggy and their fractured memories made it logically impossible to explain that they had transiently moved from the road to the villa. So, they naturally accepted the story and even thought it was what they had experienced.
Now that Mr. Jia suddenly asked for details of their memory, they were getting confused and were trying to remember what they were doing before they passed out.
Were they entering the villa?
Apparently not...
