The drive seemed unending as Grace voiced her complaints again to her parents.

"Why do I have to go to camp for power kids again? I'm sixteen already and should be able to at least choose which camp to go to and not be forced to go one I'm always being stared at and treated like I'm special just cuz I don't have powers. It doesn't even make sense to send me to power kid camp when everyone know that if you don't have powers by 16 you never will!"

"You're going to have powers Grace just like your father and I, you're just a late bloomer. Don't worry, camp won't kill you and you know that we have a business trip to go to and your grandma is too sick to watch you."

"I'M SIXTEEN! I'm way old enough to take care of myself!!"

"Enough Grace, don't talk to your mom like that. You're going end of story."

Grace rolls her eyes and slumps into her seat. She stares out the window watching as the city slowly fades and so does her summer of fun.

She just knew that she would be made fun of as soon as she got to Scenic View Camp. She was powerless and awkward, which meant she would be treated either like she was helpless or treated like a waste of space. Her summer was doomed in both cases.

All she wanted to do this summer was to hang out with Maria, her best friend and neighbor. If only she had the power to clone herself so that she could send the clone to camp, but unfortunately that power didn't even exist in the known powers.

As she continued to think of what powers that actually help her out of camp, they arrived.
