Li Jing opened his eyes after a night of cultivation.
He now had three days left before he had to go home but knowing that he needed at least one day to travel back there from his current position, it meant that he only had two days left to upgrade his bloodline and find the lair of the king of the Four-eyed Jade Monkeys.
He stood up and noticed that the monkeys that were attacking the shield yesterday were not here anymore. They probably gave up after seeing that they couldn't destroy it.
He left his cave and went in search of some monkeys to kill.

He didn't have to wait long before finding them.
With his two daggers in hands, he started to slash them one after the other as they tried to get close to him.

Although they were a little smart, the fighting strategy of the Four-eyed Jade Monkeys was always the same: surrounding their opponents and attacking them from all sides.

One of the monkeys tried to punch Li Jing but he used his Instant Flash Steps technique to dodge it and immediately cut the beast in half from behind.
Soon, the twelve monkeys that attacked him were all lying on the ground bathing in a pool of blood…

Half a day later, Li Jing was still killing the Four-eyed Jade Monkeys but this time it was different. It was him who was chasing them because they were running away after seeing him!

A monkey was running away from Li Jing at full speed. It knew that the human behind it could easily kill its kin in one strike!
Seeing this, Li Jing smiled. He threw his dagger at the fleeing monkey, killing it on the spot. He finally reached his goal: the Four-eyed Jade Monkeys were now afraid of him.
'Finally, now I just have to follow one of the monkeys to find their king's lair. But their king is strong, so first, I want to upgrade my bloodline.' He thought, picking up his dagger.
He already collected the hundred of Demonic Cores that he was missing.
A few minutes later, he finally found a cave where he could peacefully upgrade his bloodline. After entering the cave, he activated a Protection Stone Barrier and sat cross-legged. Then, he took out five hundred Demonic Cores from his blood ring and placed them in front of him.
For someone who didn't possess a special bloodline, consuming a Demonic Core was impossible and would irremediably kill him.
Li Jing didn't know if his Thunder Wyvern bloodline was one of them but he decided to trust his system. After all, he had no reason to not trust it, so far it has never disappointed or betrayed him.
He took one of the cores in front of him and swallowed it in one gulp. Then… Nothing.
Nothing happened, he didn't feel anything at all. It was just like he had eaten a marble. He expected to at least feel pain or a strong power passing through his body…

Li Jing clenched his fists, gritted his teeth, and endured the pain. He hoped that this pain would not last as long as the last time…
Around five minutes later, the pain finally stopped and many screens appeared before his eyes.
