Wesley!
The main character of Wanted. He had a cheerful disposition and an optimistic look on life. He treated people sincerely and was modest and polite—a struggling young man with grand aspirations. Thus, even though he had lost his mother as a child and didn't know whose blood ran through his veins, he had still healthily and happily matured into an adult.
Society's best college had impressed many principles upon Wesley. One of them was that someone without a father needed to learn how to be tough!
After stepping into society, Wesley worked hard to prosper. Finally, his efforts managed to get him a respectable job. While the pay was a little on the low side, he had his own desk and could call himself a white-collar in public.
Wesley had a group of diligent colleagues who would often throw various trifling tasks Wesley's way so that he could quickly mature, and he became the record holder for the fastest typing speed in the entire office.
He also had an experienced and capable female boss. Though she was a three-hundred-pound lady who thought of every way to cut his pay, without this female boss, Wesley would have never realized just how ugly the face of capitalism was.
He has also had a beautiful girlfriend, and while she was rather sharp and unkind, disliking Wesley for his lack of money and often cheating on him, everything had two sides. Without this girlfriend who welcomed all comers, Wesley would never have been able to maintain such a healthy complexion.
Oh, right, Wesley also had an honorable and righteous brother. Whenever Wesley's female boss arranged additional work for Wesley, this good brother would always bravely volunteer himself and go to comfort Wesley's girlfriend, personally serving whether rain or shine.
It was precisely because of this good brother that Wesley wasn't abandoned and forced to become a single dog who had to frequently buy toilet paper.
For some people, just living took all their effort!
Wesley had deeply experienced all this, but he continued to survive, even though he knew the true situation between his girlfriend and his good brother.
Just an affair, just a little more work. Someone who had never seen the plains before had no idea that heaven was actually green.
Above was pure word fill...the above was a part of the plot that served as a simple introduction to Wesley...
Fine, the above was pure nonsense, a blatant attempt to fill the word count!
The cheerful and optimistic personality didn't exist. Wesley was just a loser who meandered through life. His only goal in life was to waste time until he died.
That was the case until just a few moments ago when a gorgeous and cold beauty appeared in front of him. Wesley swore that compared to this beauty, his girlfriend might as well have come from the countryside.
Fox!
A core member of the Fraternity. Because Cross was constantly killing members of the Fraternity and no one could defeat him, Fox had been ordered to bring Wesley back and raise him into a top-class assassin.
In this world, only Wesley could kill Cross!
Cross had been protecting his son all this time and rushed over as soon as he detected Fox. Alas, he had been a step too slow. Fox had already gotten in touch with Wesley and obtained his trust.
This was only reasonable. If one had to choose between a grizzled middle-aged man and a beautiful big sister...
This is a question for the audience!
...
As night settled in, the roads were brightly lit by streetlights. In the big city, the nightlife was just getting started.
With an extremely energetic roar of an engine, a red sports car shot past, stirring up a whirlwind.
As the Dodge Viper blazed through the streets, Fox cooly sat in the driver seat and maneuvered the steering wheel, overtaking cars in a most thrilling manner.
The red sports car was moving so fast that one could scream. In the passenger seat, Wesley was practically nailed to the seat by the momentum, screaming like a train whistle as the scenery rushed past. Having never experienced any of this before, Wesley felt his heart begin to thump rapidly.
"God, you can go a little slower? He can't catch up!" Wesley's mouth was dry as he feared that he might die at any moment in a high-speed car crash.
"No, he's right behind us."
Wesley glanced at the rear-view mirror and saw that Cross's delivery truck was in dogged pursuit, getting closer and closer. The thought of that madman who started shooting without a word made Wesley's heart grow cold, and his hairs stand on end.
"Then, please drive a little faster!"
Fox's face flickered. She was already driving at her fastest, but that shabby delivery truck was still somehow able to keep up and was even showing signs of overtaking her.
In the delivery truck, Cross gripped a handlebar with one hand while holding the gun with the other. While staring at the Dodge Viper, he couldn't help but mentally praise Luo Su's driving skills. Even now, they were still keeping up.
But when he saw what Luo Su was doing out of the corner of his eyes, he almost had a heart attack.
"Jesus!! What are you doing?"
"Changing the radio station!" Luo Su said with a matter-of-fact tone. One hand was messing around with the radio while the other hand moved around the steering wheel.
"I know that you're changing the d**n radio station, but now is not the time for that! When you're driving, look straight ahead and place both hands on the steering wheel!!!"
Cross was on the verge of a breakdown. At this speed, if he was the one driving, not even he would dare to say that the car might not flip over, but Luo Su was even in the mood to mess with the radio.
"Relax a little. My car won't flip over." After flipping through the radio and finding that all the stations were reporting the traffic, he slapped the radio in displeasure. In all this, he completely ignored the cars around him.
Cross was filled with deep regret. If he knew that Luo Su was someone who didn't use the brake while driving, he would have never brought him along. Cross was very confident in his own driving skills, but with Luo Su, he could only laugh.
Last night's DD performance made it very difficult for him to believe in Luo Su. He was unwilling to place his life in the hands of someone so unreliable.
And Luo Su continued with his disconcerting actions. While confidently navigating the turns in the road, Luo Su began to chat with him.
"You seem very nervous. Who's that young man in the sports car? I'm guessing that he has quite a deep connection with you."
"Focus on driving!" Cross scowled. He didn't want Luo Su to know too much.
"Let me take a guess. Although you two don't look alike, it's easy to guess based on the age. Seeing how nervous you are that you don't dare to shoot, that young man is your...distant younger cousin?"
Cross: "..."
Cross said nothing. He drew his Magnum Baby Eagle II and placed it up against Luo Su's temple, and Luo Su tactfully shut his mouth.
Ten seconds later, heavy metal music began to blast. Luo Su placed both hands on the steering wheel, his eyes brightening as an excited smile appeared on his lips.
Perhaps it was a misperception, but Cross felt like this truck was speeding up.
In the middle of the heavy metal music, Luo Su shouted, "I'm guessing that he's your son! Don't try to deny it! You know, my father was also an assassin, so I completely understand what you think because I've experienced it before!"
Cross kept a straight face, and as if to vent his anger, he stuck his head out the window and fired three shots at the red sports car. The bullets shattered the car's light and rear window. Fox raised her gun and fired back, but because she also needed to drive, none of her shots hit.
