Chapter 639 - Chapter 639: Fallen Hospital

Warm tungsten lights,

Black and white TVs from the eighties hung on the wall, playing "Modern Times",

An old semi-circular wooden table was placed on the right side of the entrance corridor, serving as a consultation desk.

On it were an old-fashioned rotary dial telephone, some newspapers from previous days, and an American coffee with white smoke rising.

The roster of today's staff was posted on the interior wall.

The floor was mainly terrazzo (made by mixing aggregates such as broken stones, glass, and quartz into cement), commonly used in the 80s, which had some anti-slip properties.

Although quite old and evidently outdated, the overall cleanliness of the hospital was surprisingly good.

A nurse with curly hair and gold-rimmed glasses was sitting inside the consultation desk, holding a cup of steaming-hot coffee.

Some patients were wandering back and forth in the corridors. Some were on drips, some were in wheelchairs, and some were resting against the wall.
