"Why do we keep encountering Shoggoths in the outermost circle? This is their home...Continuing to flee like this, if we can't find a way out, there's only Death waiting for us."
Akin, responsible for sensing and planning the route, couldn't accept the reality before him.
Due to the relentless pursuit of the Shoggoths, they could only flee deeper into Meat Mountain...The depth they had now reached had already exceeded the exploration range of the exploration team.
During the escape, Akin also felt a sense of "discomfort."
Whenever there was a fork in the road, the routes that might lead outside of Meat Mountain were either blocked or concealed a lurking Shoggoth.
Their only choice was to continue fleeing deeper into Meat Mountain.
When they passed through eleven intersections, the original stone cave passageway turned into stairs leading downward.
And the hissing of the Shoggoths was getting closer.
