CHAPTER 37- MISSED YOU BEYOND EXPLAINED MEASUREMENTS

Ma Roo was on the rooftop with Hong Ga Ya, "Who are you? Why did you ask me to come here with you?" Ma Roo asked Mrs. Hong. "Actually, you saw her right. Hye Rin, does she look like the cheerful girl she was. I am sure you noticed for the brief moment." Hong Ga Ya said. Ma Roo had really noticed that Rin had changed though he didn't get the chance to go see her. "I have been with her for the past months. She wasn't the same as I met her. I think you have to choose what's best for her. If you love her, tell her and save her from her misery." Hong Ga Ya said. "But what about Mi Na?" Ma Roo said. "Mi Na, I handled her. She doesn't know you now." Mrs. Hong explained calmly.

Back at the party, Rin was staring at the person she didn't expect to see here. "What? I also didn't expect to see you here. I was disappointed that you went back before I could do anything to you. I am so happy to see you." Ma Suk said with a grim smile. Rin hated this man so much. She felt like puking because of his presence.

"I know Rin came and saw a few times in a month though she didn't tell me. It always calmed her down." Hong Ga Ya Was telling Ma Roo the whole story. "Her due is in 3 days. She has become weak because she wasn't with the person she loved. If she uses her powers before you tell her that you love her, she might cease to exist." Mrs. Hong's eyes became a bit watery as she told Ma Roo. Ma Roo also couldn't believe it. He had heard a few stories from Rin and Saet Byul about the one year's love thing but they also didn't know much about it.

"What can I do to save her?" Ma Roo said. "If you really love her. Tell her but if you've never felt anything towards her just persuade her to go back to the sea. It's up to you two. You've got three days." Mrs. Hong said and turned to leave. "I expect much better from you." She then left leaving Ma Roo in a sea of thoughts. He saw Mrs. Hong get in to her BMW from the rooftop. After she drove away, he also went back where the party was.

"Let go of me!" Rin said to Ma Suk who was dragging her outside. "Wow, you seem quite powerless now. I expected something more fun." Ma Suk curved his smile down as he said. Before he could add on anything else, he felt like his head was going to fall off from the punch he received from Ma Roo. "Let go of her." Ma Roo said in a hoarse voice. Everyone's attention turned towards them. "Wow, my young brother is here. I thought you two didn't get in touch anymore." Ma Suk said as he wiped the blood on the corner of his lips.

"Rin! Let's go!" Ma Roo told Rin and then grabbed her hand. She was out of words and couldn't believe her eyes. Was this the surprise Mrs. Hong talked about. The two walked away from the party and went in the garden of the huge mansion where the party was held. "Rin, do you know how I have missed you? I am so angry at myself that I didn't notice your pain. I couldn't notice your love and sacrifices. Rin, that day you should have at least told us where you were going. Do you know how me and Saet Byul were worried? You…" Before he could add on anything else, Rin said with watery eyes, "Ma Roo..." Before she could say anything else, he leaned closer and kissed her passionately. She was almost out of breath when he stopped. "It's my turn to talk, if you talk…I'll do it again." Ma Roo said.

"I promised myself I'd not be angry at you when I see and I have something to tell you but I want to make it quite unique." Ma Roo told her as he scratched his head from shyness. Rin wanted to talk but didn't want to make the situation more awkward than it was already. "A day has not passed when I have not thought of you. Rin?" He called her seeing that she was just looking at him sadly without saying a word. "Do you want to see Saet Byul?" He asked. Rin nodded her head in approval. She missed both of them. He took off his coat and put it on her shoulders. It was winter again.

A white taxi parked in front of Ma Roo's apartment building. The two got out with their hand entwined. They went and took an elevator. Ma Roo said to Rin, "You stay here. I want to surprise her." He told her to stay a bit further. He then knocked on the apartment. Luckily, Saet Byul was the one who opened the door after a few minutes. Ma Roo was the person she last expected to see knock on her door at 9 in the night because of how they parted ways. "what do you want? My mom is not here." She said indifferently.

Ma Roo squat down to her height and told her, "Saet Byul, I am sorry for what I did back then but I was actually also scared just like you. I actually missed you, I missed bickering with you. I missed you lecturing me." He first apologised. She slightly smiled but then hid the smile before he could notice it. "I don't think you came her tonight to just apologise to me. What do you want? Anyway, you also reek of alcohol." She said. "Wow, you are so wise but how do you know how alcohol smells? Don't tell me you take it when your mom isn't there." He said. "I don't." She denied quickly. "I want to show you something but for you to see it, you have got to forgive me first." He made a deal with her.

"Ok, I forgive you." She smiled. "Come!" He whispered gesturing to Rin. When Rin showed up, Saet Byul could hardly believe her eyes. "Ma Roo, do you see that too?" She asked Ma Roo before believing it. "She's really there." Ma Roo got out of the doorway giving her room to walk out. Saet Byul walked slowly to where Rin was standing with tears running down her cheeks. Rin squat down and hugged the kiddo. "Rin, I missed you so much. Why did it take long for you to come back?" she said. "I am sorry I took long to come back." Rin also said suppressing her tears. It was raining outside because of the situation. Ma Roo also dried his eyes trying to stop from crying.

The trial went into the apartment and Ma Roo made each of them a cup of hot chocolate. "I missed these days." Saet Byul said. "Why were you at home alone?" Ma Roo asked. "My mom comes back late these days and she thinks I still hang out with you guys." Saet Byul said. "Your parents are one worst type of parents." Ma Roo said. "Then who cooks for you?" Rin asked. "Who else would? My mom makes breakfast and I make myself lunch and dinner sometimes. Though cooking was hard in the first months." She said remembering how she ate burnt food for a few consecutive weeks and got digestion disorders.

Ma Roo and Rin felt sorry for her. "Rin, you finally made your hair straight but didn't change the colour." Saet Byul changed the topic. "Oh, it's nothing much." Rin said. Half an hour later, they had the doorbell ring. "I'll answer that." Ma Roo went to answer it. When he opened the door, he was surprised to see Saet Byul's father. "What do you want?" Ma Roo asked. "I have come to take my daughter. I suppose she is here." He said with type of smile Ma Suk usually had too.

"I am sorry but she is currently sleeping. Maybe another time." He rejected and told him honestly because she was really sleeping. "I want my daughter right now. Do you even know that I can sue you kidnapping?" He threatened. "Ha, I wonder how you two brainless people managed to give birth to a clever kid." Ma Roo didn't know why people tended to be ungrateful. "Ma Roo, I'll go. See you tomorrow." Saet Byul got out afraid her father would cause trouble. "Saet Byul, let's go and sleep over at my place." Her dad said with a smile as he looked back to see Ma Roo and Rin who were standing at the door.

In Saet Byul dad's car, she had fallen asleep from behind. While driving, he received a phone call. He connected it to Bluetooth and then answered it after looking behind and made sure Saet Byul was asleep. "Nephew, I've got my daughter as you told me…Yes… I'll take the camera from her, good thing she is wearing it…You know she's quite clever…I first have to give her another necklace to ta this one away without her suspecting anything… okay, got it. I'll bring it to you tomorrow noon." He then hung up. He didn't know that Saet Byul had heard the whole conversation.
