Ma Roo walked to where she was and held her by the shoulders, "Rin, why did you really do it? I… I can't take any more debts than I already have." He shouted at her. He felt uncomfortable getting help from her without asking for it. "Ma Roo, what's wrong?" Rin asked worried if something had happened to Ma Roo seeing how he was acting. "Why did you do that video? I can handle things on my own, when you came here I told you to mind your business. I don't want to owe you much more than I already do. Stop making me feel more attached to you. I am not even attached to my family. Why do you make e do for you?" He shouted scaring her. "I just wanted to help you." She said while restraining herself from crying.
"That's what I am saying. From now on I don't need you nor do I need your help. Mind your own business during your stay." He then stormed to his room leaving her standing there. All what Ma Roo said to her didn't matter except for that line 'I don't need you. She didn't know why but she felt like she was torn into a million thousand pieces. She squatted down and dunk her head in her palms. She just did it trying to help but she didn't understand why he was so angry at her for trying to help out.
In Ma Ro's bedroom, he was lying at his but then suddenly remembered something and sat, he opened the drawer beside his bed. He took out Rin's power brake. He had kept it all this time. He had kept it all this time. "She said it was one of a kind and I couldn't have one like this but this looks exactly like it, by any chance is it the same?" Ma Roo looked closely at the bracelet as he thought. What happened today, he really didn't want to say any of what he said but for some unknown reasons, he felt lie he owed Rin too much. He wasn't also used to being helped by others. He was used to doing things my way.
-A week later-
Half of the building was now occupied. Outside the building, a red Mazda and an Audi RS parked outside the building and Song Mi Na got out of the red Mazda 6 and a man wearing a suit also got out of the black Audi RS carrying two red suit cases. "Hurry and take all my things to the apartment, I'll be there later after you organise everything in its place." Mi Na ordered the man who even seemed to be a little older than her. "Ok, ma'am." The man drove the suitcase inside the building. She then turned back and entered her car and headed for the building's underground parking lot.
In Ma Roo's apartment, Saet and Rin were seated in the couch watching cartoons on TV while eating snacks. "I don't understand you guys these days you two talk less. Ma Roo barely gets out of his room after school. What happened?" Saet Byul asked seeing that Rin was less talkative nowadays. She didn't even get out of the house for a week even if Saet Byul offered many times to go for a walk. Rin also wasn't as cheerful nowadays. She didn't answer Saet Byul's question but just stuffed a bunch of chips in her mouth. Before Saet Byul could say anything else, they heard the doorbell ring. "I'll get that." Rin stood up to go open the door. When she opened it, "Oh, it's you." Rin said. Song Mi Na was expecting Ma Roo to open the door but when she saw that Rin was the one who opened the door, her smile dropped. Mi Na was holding a pizza box in her hands.
"Hi, you can come inside and wait. I'll call Ma Roo." Rin said politely. Mi Na smiled and entered only to find Saet Byul seated in the couch. When Saet Byul also saw her, she bowed her head slightly to show respect to her, "Hi!" Saet Byul said. Rin went to Ma Roo's room. She took a deep breath and then knocked, "Ma Roo, you have a guest." She waited for a seconds and then Ma Roo came out in a beige pink sweater with white pants. "Who is it?" He asked her. "It's the lady from the last time." Rin answered. After hearing the who it was, Ma Roo didn't say anything else and went to the living room living Rin staring at empty space. She felt hurt every time Ma Roo ignored her, it could be another person that ignored her but not him. She wanted to cry but she knew it wasn't appropriate for her to do so. She sighed and moved back to the living room. Song Mi Na hadn't taken a seat but was looking around at the apartment. When Ma Roo came, he saw her. "Can I know what you want?" Ma Roo spoke lazily. "Huh, since I moved in next door. I just came to bring a pizza to my neighbour. "She said as she picked up the pizza in her hands. "It's not necessary." Ma Roo said. "No, I insist that you take it." She smiled. "Ok, if you insist." He took it from her hands and gave it to Saet Byul.
"I'll be off now, thanks for dropping by." Ma Roo said and turned around to go back to his room. Song Mi Na was infuriated but she knew she had to go step by step. "Thanks for the pizza." Saet Byul stood up with pizza and went and held Rin's hand who was standing quietly. "Let's go work on this baby." Saet Byul smiled. They all went living Mi Na alone. She got out of the apartment feeling extremely angry. She took out her phone from the jacket and dialled a number. When who she called answered the call. "Secretary Min, I told you to make a background search on the girl. Did you find anything yet?" She asked.
"Ma'am, the information I have isn't so useful but something is weird about that girl." The man from the end of the phone said. "What is it that you got? I can't wait any longer." she said impatiently. "It is that I can't get any information about her, her name is Kim Hye Rin and except for that. She does online live streaming videos of singing but the account is not in her names. It's for a young 7- year –old." The secretary told Mi Na the information he had managed to gather. After hearing that Mi Na hung up immediately without letting the secretary say anything else. "So, Kim Hye Rin is her name. what's so special about her that she lives with Ma Roo. I've got to find out soon because nothing can obstruct my way especially when I want something." She gave an ugly smirk.
In the Kang Mansion in one of the bedrooms, Ma Suk was chatting with a lady in her early forties. "Mom, you've heard the news. That pricky jerk's apartments are going viral. I heard from uncle that he even paid a large sum for the loan." Ma Suk said and then took a sip from his wine. "He sure is quite brave but he overcame this just so quicker than I expected." The lady said. "Mom, I think you were going easy on him. Once he's out, I am in. So I'll take him out for good. Leave this to me but before that he has something that I want." Ma Suk smiled. "That's up to you, I had pitied him because he was an orphan but he seems to take my kind heart for granted." The lady said with a smile that was hard to tell what it meant. The mother and son dual seemed to be plotting something big against Ma Roo.
In Rin's room, She and Saet Byul were eating the pizza. "What do you think about that lady Rin?" Saet Byul said. "I don't think she likes me." Rin said as she picked up another slice. "How do you know that she doesn't?" Saet Byul asked her. "I heard her." Rin said without much care. Saet Byul was confused, "How? When? And why?" Saet Byul asked for more specific details. "She said no one can obstruct her way in getting what she wants, not even me and what she wants seems to be Ma Roo. She said it in the alley when she got out." Rin stuffed a chunk of pizza in her mouth after explaining. "Wow, Rin, you are amazing. You have a super hearing skill. I had hunch that that lady was bad news when she got here." Saet Byul showed off.
-in the sea palace-
"Sire! This is the season when there are many mermaid soul suckers and her highness is on land yet she didn't have any practice before going to land. She'll be in trouble." A masculine mermaid reported to the king. The king sighed and said, "If she has a power brake on, she'll be in less trouble and if she doesn't she'll be in big trouble. Her scent is the strongest out of all us, that even soul suckers from far away are attracted but if she has the power brake on, her scent is just as that of any other mermaid. She'll only be safe if there is a special human around her. We've got to find her quickly." The king said in great worry for his daughter.
