Hearing Ajax's words, Aron was surprised for a moment. Then he turned to Volcanis, who looked back at Aron with a surprised look.
When Ajax insisted, Aron had no choice but to bring someone with him, so he brought Volcanis along with him.
However, as a fire elemental spirit, his battle prowess would be greatly reduced underwater. Thus, Aron asked Volcanis to wait on the land while he entered the Celestial River and started clearing the obstacles for the Inheritance.
After coming out of the Celestial River, Aron didn't tell Volcanis anything about the Senior Lotus Tempest's Inheritance as he wanted to surprise Ajax with his exploration gains.
Hence, when Ajax says those words about the Inheritance, Aron is shocked.
"What? You really got an Inheritance in this realm?"
