"You didn't have to come all the way to our room, you know?" Chen JIngyun shook her head as she looked back at Fu Wang.
They all had come to stop right in front of her shared dormitory with certain three other guys. Li Minghao was taking his keys out and going for the doorknob, Chen Jingyun just waited on the side, holding her back and belly resembling to a pregnant woman or just a person who ate a ton of food; and Fu Wang was just casually standing there with his hands on his pockets looking breezy.
"As you can saw earlier, I forgot to press my floor..." Fu Wang shrugged.
"You could have just waited inside, it will go back down anyways."
"Yeah, but I wanted to keep going the conversation. It's interesting."
"Talking about what kind of socks are the most comfortable to wear?"
"Yeah! It is a really important issue, you know? Some people spend 65% of their life wearing socks.
Li Minghao looked back at him as he pushes the door open.
"Is that a real number?"
Fu Wang grimaced before shaking his head.
"No, it's just a random number I came up with, but I reckon it is somewhere near the truth."
Li Minghao only chuckled and entered the room, waving goodbye at Fu Wang.
"You are not wrong, I can say that."
"Anyways, good night!" Chen Jingyun smiled and entered the dorm room right after Li Minghao.
"Goodnight." Fu Wang smiled. "See you tomorrow?"
Chen Jingyun only tilted her head from side to side, not quite sure.
"Maybe."
She smiled one last time and closed the door.
It was nine in the evening.
The sun had gone down, and her bones felt like a weight on her shoulders.
Chen Jingyunw wanted nothing more than to lie down and sleep until noon. That is... if Li Minghao didn't wake her up at five in the morning...
She could ask him about it...
After his shower of course.
"Hi everyone." She said as she went towards her closet to hang her bag and look for clean clothes to sleep in.
"Hey!"
Luo Shao greeted her first. He seemed chirpy as he looked up from his laptop. He was freshly showered with that wet hair sitting on top of his head and that towel hanging on his shoulders.
As for Su Long, he only briefly looked up, muttered a greeting before going back to his cellphone. Only this time he wasn't texting but he was playing some rhythm game. A sight Chen Jingyun could only chuckle at.
"How was your date?"
"It was fine.' Su Long shrugged his shoulders.
"The date was great, thank you for asking!"
"Ooh, looks like someone is excited. Care to tell me more?" Chen Jingyun instantly smiled. It was always nice to see someone happy.
"Nah... I couldn't. It's a bit embarrassing." Luo Shao looked away shyly. He seemed to be... blushing?
Chen JIngyun couldn't resist probing a little bit more.
Sitting on the chair next to him, Chen JIngyun scooted closer and looked at him with big eyes embarrassing Luo Shao even further.
"Did you guys...kiss?"
Luo Shao turned even redder and shook his head quickly.
"Hmm? You guys didn't kiss?" Chen Jingyun pouted with a serious question mark on her face. "Then why are you so red?"
Coming to Luo Shao's rescue, Su Long paused his game and stood up from his bed.
"They didn't kiss." He pulled out a chair and sat. "She gave him a kiss on the cheek."
"Oh! It is still just as sweet!"
Fu Wang laughed.
"It was just a kiss on the cheek."
Chen Jingyun just rolled her eyes at him.
"Alright, Mr.Playboy. Did you get a kiss?"
Su Long preened himself, looking proud and smug. He even wiggled his finger out.
"As a matter of fact-"
But Chen JIngyun cut him off.
"I don't care." She smiled at him.
"Your love life is uninteresting." She shrugged her shoulders. "We all kinda know you don't settle, so I am not investing my attention on something that isn't going to last. Now tell me, Luo Shao, how did it go like?"
"Uh..."
You're doing amazing sweetie.
"Well, it was the end of the day..."
Aha. Chen Jingyun nodded encouragingly.
"We were seeing them off to their school... we already said goodbye and they were walking away, but suddenly, she turned back, k-kissed me on the cheek, and left before I could say anything." Luo Shao looked shy but he had a smile on his lips. His eyes seeming to replay the scene over and over again.
"Aw... that's so cute! So when are you going to see her again?"
"I don't know yet... maybe next weekend?"
"Tell me more, keep talking..."
And for quite a few minutes, Chen Jingyun sat at the table listening to Luo Shao's thoughts and recaps on their date. She was a sucker for a good romance story for a friend. Especially a friend as cute and naive as Luo Shao.
As for Su Long, he got dragged in into the story. He wasn't the slightest bit hurt by Chen JIngyun's earlier comment. In fact, it seemed like he kinda admitted to it.
When Li MInghao walked out of the bathroom, Chen JIngyun knew it was her time to go. So, she stood from the table and grabbed her things. She needed a warm relaxing shower.
However, before she could enter the bathroom, she received a comment that made her skip a beat.
"You know, you are quite a feminine guy, Qin Yun." Su Long looked at her with sincere eyes.
There wasn't a double meaning infused in them.
"Really? Why do you say so?" Chen JIngyun chuckled awkwardly and arched her brow.
Su Long only shrugged.
"I don't know, you seem more cheerful about different kinds of stuff... You are very clean and organized, just like Minghao but in a different way... You also have that face and voice... and height. I'm sure you would look better as a girl than a guy."
Chen Jingyun could only laugh. Should she take it as a compliment? Or should she act offended, glare, and maybe hit him once?
None of that. Instead, her laugh came to a stop and froze on a smile. She looked... threatening.
"Never say that again."
And she shut the door.
Maybe that would let him think she wasn't happy about his comment and scare him enough to never comment something like that again.
"Pei... he didn't have to look at me like that." Su Long blew his cheek.
Li Minghao started to prepare hot water.
"Well, her looks are quite a sensitive topic for her right now so it's best to not talk about it. Although she doesn't look like it, she could take you out in a fight." Despite her slacking off.
"Take me out on fight?" Su Long snorted and scratched his nose indignantly. "I would like to see that shorty try."
At this, Luo Shao turned into a puddle of laughter.
"I don't know man, I think, Brother Minghao is right."
"You too?" Su Long crossed his arms in defense. "Why why why why is the shorty going to be able to whip my behind?"
"Ay, with your sloppy fighting skill you won't be able to tell, my young lord." Luo Shao snickered as he shook his head from side to side.
"You just have to know do not stand a chance with your current skills." Li Minghao took out his tea set. "Do you guys want tea?"
The two of them shook their head.
"Nah, I'm fine." Su Long put his palm up. "I want to know what kind of level Qin Yun is at."
Scratching his chin, Luo Shao started to calculate.
"I can't really tell, but from what I sense before... he seems quite skilled, but I don't think he can win against me..."
"You are not wrong." Li Minghao confirmed his thoughts. "She can't win against you right now, but she will in the future."
This time, Luo Shao sat up straight, looking a bit alarmed. If Li Minghao said so... it couldn't be wrong... but it also didn't make sense!
"What do you mean?" How do you know that?
Li Minghao just shrugged his shoulders.
"I'm just saying, if you don't want the little guy to catch you, you gotta go pay a visit to your family's dojo."
"What about me?" Su Long intercepted. "What do I have to do?"
"You are hopeless."
Su Long dropped on his seat. "So, right now and forever... the little guy is going to win against me?"
"On a fight yes, on dating experience, no."
"Haha, so funny." Su Long rolled his eyes.
Almost twenty minutes later, Chen JIngyun was out of the shower. She had also washed her hair.
"Why are you guys looking at me like that?"
Luo Shao seems fired up like he wanted to fight her, and Su Long... also wanted to fight her?!
"Did I do something wrong?"
"No, you did not." Li Minghao held a tray up looking quite a perfect waiter. "Dry your hair first, then come to the balcony. I need to talk to you about something.
"Uh... okay."
With that, Li Minghao left the sound of a click behind his back.
Somehow, even after he left, the room still seemed to be in a weird mood. It didn't seem like the time to relax and sleep, no, it seemed like the time to start a fight club in the middle of a school dorm.
So she quickly dried her hair using a hair dryer and slipped into the balcony.
Let's see what the dark lord has to say!
