Ying Xuan let out a guilty smile and walked upto the two of them.
Lee whistled as Xuan reached her and Jingyu, and Wei Jingyu massaged his head. "Why?" he asked.
Xuan shrugged and signed, 'They started it.'
Wei Jingyu sighed, "Does that mean you have to finish it?"
Ying Xuan pouted and signed, "I tried to ignore them. I almost did. But they were trash talking about you. Saying you were only with me because I'm hard to get."
Jingyu raised an eyebrow and was about to say something when his name was called to collect the prize money. Xuan hadn't noticed, but Wei Jingyu had won the race.
"This isn't over." Wei Jingyu said before walking away. Lee exclaimed as soon as Jingyu turned around, "Turbo!!!!!!! That was awesome!!!"
"Don't encourage her." Jingyu's exasperated voice was heard and the two girls snickered. "Where did you learn to fight like that?" Lee asked as soon as Jingyu was out of earshot.
Ying Xuan shrugged. She took out her mobile and had a short conversation with Lee before Jingyu returned, looking indeed very grumpy.
He eyed Xuan and Lee up and down before holding out two packets to the latter. "Here." he said.
Lee looked at Jingyu's prize money and hesitated a little before taking it. "I would refuse. But I'm assuming you're just as wealthy as Turbo." Lee said, pocketing the money and smiling at the two of them.
Wei Jingyu smiled back and whispered to Xuan, "Come on. We need to go."
Ying Xuan turned to him with a pout and signed, 'So soon?' Jingyu laughed and said, "Soon? Look at the time. We've been here for over two hours!! Need I remind you that you have a curfew?"
Xuan looked at the time and found that Wei Jingyu was indeed right. Her lips turned downwards as she said goodbye to Lee and then the two left.
Once they were alone, Xuan looked up to Jingyu's face. He turned his head to look at her and let out a smile. 'I'm sorry.' Xuan signed.
"What for?" Jingyu asked.
Ying Xuan: 'For causing all the ruckus. After you told me to stay out of trouble.'
Wei Jingyu raised an eyebrow and looked surprised, "You know what it means to not get in trouble after all!!"
Xuan raised an eyebrow in surprise at first, but pouted the next second realisisng that Jingyu was making fun of her. Wei Jingyu laughed upon seeing Xuan's pout and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. "Sorry. And don't worry about it. This place is used to such fights anyway. People will probably forget your fight by the end of the next race."
'Why did you ask me to stay out of trouble then?' Xuan signed.
Jingyu sighed, "Something bad is common at a place doesn't mean you need to do it. I said the place is used to fights. But I would still prefer it if you didn't get in any."
Xuan stuck out her tongue and signed, 'Ok, i'll try. Dad!!' and ran off, wriggling out of Jingyu's embrace.
Wei Jingyu pretended to be very angry as he started to run after her.
He finally caught up to Xuan just as they both reached his bike and tickled her for a few seconds. 'Okay okay. I'm sorry.' Xuan signed, gasping for breath.
