"Hey Xuan? Could you.....help me.....with this?" Ying Xuan's attention was attracted towards Wei Jingyu as he called out to her.
Xuan turned around and chuckled to see him struggling to remove the foundation Shaoyan had put on him. He seemed to have tried to wash it off, which resulted in him looking like a ghost.
Ying Xuan chuckled as he picked up a wipe and walked over to Jingyu. She signed, 'It's water proof. You need to use this.'
She then kneeled in front of Wei Jingyu's face and helped him remove the make-up.
After a few minutes, Jingyu even stopped trying and looked closely at Ying Xuan's face as she concentrated.
Jingyu gulped and tried to pull away his eyes as Xuan licked her lips subconsciously. But his eyes seemed to be glued to Xuan's pink lips set in her perfect face. While he was staring at Xuan's lips, Jingyu had not noticed that she was done and that she was only looking at his face.
Wei Jingyu's eyes travelled over Xuan's face and locked into her eyes. His light brown eyes bore into Xuan's dark brown ones and Jingyu found himself leaning forward.
Their lips were just inches away when Ying Xuan suddenly blinked and pulled away. She was pink in the cheeks and avoided Jingyu's eyes as she signed, 'There. You need to remember not to wash your face before you remove your make-up.'
Wei Jingyu stood up and awkwardly coughed out a thanks.
As the two of them walked out of the make-up room, Jingyu suddenly caught Xuan's wrist.
Ying Xuan looked at him, surprised and Wei Jingyu let go off Xuan's wrist before running his hands through his open hair, pushing them off his forehead. "Umm.... I'm sorry.....for what I did...you know... before the play..."
Ying Xuan shook her head and signed, 'Don't say sorry. I should be thanking you. I would probably have destroyed the play otherwise.'
Wei Jingyu was shocked and he began, "You wouldn't have.....you are a great...."
But Xuan cut him off and signed, 'Thank you.'
Wei Jingyu blushed and rubbed his nose. "Stop thanking me."
Ying Xuan chuckled, 'I won't. Thank....'
But she never completed her sentence as Wei Jingyu grabbed her hands and narrowed his eyes at her. "I said, don't thank me." Wei Jingyu thundered, word for word.
Ying Xuan smiled and switched her hand so that she and Jingyu were holding hands. She was still a bit pink as they began to walk towards the seating area.
Wei Jingyu suddenly stopped and Xuan looked at him, surprised. "Hey, what do you say we go somewhere?" he asked, scratching his head.
Ying Xuan looked down and nodded and the two headed out of the back door and through the campus.
'Hey, where are we going?' Ying Xuan managed to sign with one hand as Wei Jingyu led her through the campus grounds.
"I'm thinking of trying another shot at my date." Jingyu replied.
Xuan tilted her head in confusion before she realised. Wei Jingyu was still trying to do a half court shot!!!! She looked at Wei Jingyu walking beside her and was suddenly struck by how much she meant to this boy.
He was doing so many things only for her. He had changed himself, and was trying to complete that ridiculous bet only for a date!!!!
